"One Continuous Fight" is an excellent read to get even deeper on the topic.

Excellent review of the controversial ending to Gettysburg.

This is GREAT. I would have just recommended representing the lengths of these trains by having multiple wagons strung out over 17 and 30 miles (I believe that is the number... I would have to review my books on that but don't have time at the moment). I think just having one wagon doesn't make this clear.

Great video!!! For the first time I understand what happened after the battle of Gettysburg. It seems to me that the pursuit of the retreating Confederate convoys was where Meade went wrong. His overly optimistic and overly ambitious assignment of his cavalry to chase the convoys was a huge mistake. It left him without his eyes and ears, and thus unable to know where Lee's main force current was and where it was headed. Thus the Union main force had to follow the Confederate main force at a safe distance, never sure of Lee's plans. This enabled Lee's main force to escape, and meanwhile the Confederate convoys were never taken.
