Weft to Right over the warp threads is how we remembered in the Lancashire cotton weaving mills (sheds) we were a Blacksmiths workshop that did work from the mills from 1890.
All the Mills have all gone now, there used to be 30 mills and full size chimneys.
I now look after old sewing machines. I started sewing around 1974 since my mother was busy and it is easier than riveting and welding sheet metal work ;-))
My first project was a full size Garfield the cat fancy dress that went down well on a Ski holiday, all the girls wanted to dance with a big orange cat.
