Your necklace is lovely and a great example of mindful color use! I started working through this book some time ago, carefully doing all the exercises. I made lots of collages, which I still pull out for reference on occasion. The pivot triangles were fun and fascinating, if a bit time consuming, but I use those a lot for reference, too. I just checked and realized that I stopped after doing the bargello beads. The whole thing about "mud" colors kinda went "whoosh" right over my head, lol. Thanks for the reminder that I need to pull it out and revisit these ideas and techniques!
Mud colours are like, er, odd...but they do look different to one another and they can be added to others. I don't know if I will do loads from the book but I'm definitely going to do more than I have, because the recipes are so useful. That said, I need a kick up the rear to do most things. x

I bought this book for Christmas Val and was very studiously hi-lighting sections and taking notes! Of course the children kept interrupting me so I lost my enthusiasm and it's been in my bedside locker ever since. However your video and photo's of your clay day have motivated me again! Just received my copy of this beautiful book. It is chock full of information including worksheets and easy to understand diagrams as well as sumptuous photos of techniques and finished pieces. Looks like just the ticket for the color challenged like me. I think I will take some time off from my job to delve into this book. Thanks again.

Great review!....I love this book and have made lots of the tools, collages, pivot tiles, colour recipe tiles etc....and am now quite meticulous about documenting my use of colour and keeping recipes for future use.....all inspired by this book. It really does save so much time to be able to pull out a recipe for a particular colour, rather than winging it!!

Bloody marvelous! I love the colour tiles idea. So simple but I never would have thought of it in a million years! My best friend bought me 2 books for my last birthday; Fast Polymer Clay by Sue Heaser and The Art of Jewelry Polymer Clay by Katherine Duncan Aimone and, just like you, I looked at them, loved them and haven't made a thing yet... I am new to your channel. And I am really glad I found it. I have been watching a few of your videos almost everyday, and I find them quite helpful. I really like how easy going you are and how you explain and show all the steps. Its nice to have so many wonderful polymer clay artists share the secrets and teach so many things and even share your own mistakes .You have even inspired me to join some polymer clay Facebook pages that I may even share some of my work on. ( It is difficult for me to bare my soul that way, but I am going to go for it 😉) So thank you for your inspiration and keep the awesome content coming! Looking forward to it !
