- SCP-001 is a 001 proposal also known as The Way It Ends.
To know the nature of SCP-001 is to know the nature of the Foundation. The Foundation Overseers, also known as the O5 Council, have altered the fabric of reality for the benefit of their own wicked desires. These alterations are the source of all supernatural activity in our universe. The Thirteenth, Twelfth, Eleventh, Tenth, and Ninth Overseers are the first that must be eliminated if the world is to survive.
This is the first of a three part series on Way It Ends which is the fourth part of The Ouroboros Cycle.

@@miguelangelhernandezsolis7849 Not if he wasn't aware they were using a coin, as that would be the least sensible thing in a strategic effort to assassinate someone. I assume O5-12 calculated a planned attack on him, but just like any math if you don't have all the factors it doesn't give the right result, especially something with the inconsistency of a coin flip, which can also vary in result due to style, material, weight, force used, if they slap the coin down after even what direction the wind is blowing. This honestly is one of the few ways to truly make something incalculable, use a method that no sane person would to make every single call.

The big issue with this story is thinking that somehow they knew more than the foundation with absolutely no background. Their inability to understand anomalies led to the entire situation

The Chaos Insurgency sent a team to kill the O5 Council to that they may replace them with their own people and we are not sure if it happened or not. This is the reason why this story is an SCP-001.
@@rvpairofdicethewanderer2383 what? No, they are not. Everyone in the CI hates the Foundation. Kevin only became the Overseer because the Council actually wasn't the root of all abnormal problems, so he needed the Foundation resources to remedy the situation.

But you can predict if the coin will flip in heads or tails pretty easily by today's standards of machines. There are even machines which flip the coin with just the right power so it lands in the desired orientation. The writer just great in story-telling, but a failuire in maths.

This mission seems almost TOO easy. Also i wonder if they are truly on a mission to save the world. Or just being manipulated by someone or something into eliminating the only people on Earth who can stop it from happening.

I noticed The Accountant and The Liar when teamed up would be actually deadly, as not only they could make the whole operation a lie to begin with and distract them from their actual goal, but also use them as a puppet to sabotage potential people from future who would have the same mindset of stopping the O5.
What made me concerned is that the O5 had no resistance against this and not even a single doubt was made by the people who went to assassinate them if they were real or just a decoy to begin with.
The shadows saying "How would you kill them" and "Do it" implies as if they're trying to dare the person to do it without knowing that the person gonna be played like a fool, and watch their vain effort for entertainment.
@@UCmDBecUtbSafffpMEN3iscA It is possible. However it is also possible that the leadership of the Chaos Insurgency are themselves puppets in a much bigger plot. They just do not know it. But i suspect the 05 council did have a plan B in place for just such a contingency. Which probably went into effect as soon as they assassinated the first 05.

I like to think of SCP-001 as the anomaly itself, an SCP which can’t be defined. To some it’s when day breaks, to others it’s the O5 council, to some it’s the foundation, etc.

I think it was 05-9's story that made me tear up from reading the article. I applaud the channel's ability to sum up the events so concisely but I think this is one that's a;so worth reading.

One issue. Coin flips are actually somewhat easy to calculate, since they rely on physics and gravity just like any other object. This means that the Accountant would have still been alive, if he is so intelligent he can predict behaviour, he can predict impact force and angle, thus able to know the outcome of the coin flip. Trust me, randomness is a problem us coders have long struggled with, as there is no such thing as true randomness.
The Accountant would need to see the coin flips and know what happens if they get heads or tails.

Because of that what i heard is that they even had scps protecting them and all and now they are absolutely unprotected. The first one was a joke. Why wasn't there any security?? Like some robots or something would be enough. Thats shit.

SCP itself been out for Year's and it's only getting better. There's an SCP for everyone so I can't possibly think of a reason why anyone wouldn't love this long lived masterpiece
Having read this myself, this is actually accurate, with a few complex conversations having been shortened to a briefing.

963 brings a a single cell of 682 mixed with the droppings of 173 and put through the improver on "very fine" into O5 headquarters which he is one of the few people who would be able to do this and know where the headquarters are. He leaves it there until it regenerates into an unstoppable 173/682 hybrid. That's how you kill O5.
