The Lazer Tag product designer deserves a lot of credit. I can't think of another laser tag set that is more iconic, or even really put much effort into styling.
Of all the stuff u pulled out that hit me with nostalgia, those damn Ninja magazines. Wow I was all in on the Ninja craze, those magazines were everything lol😂
I would have absolutely bought those ninja magazines. Whom amongst us wouldn't have? I bought a comic called Ninja Funnies back when I was a kid, it was definitely more of an adult-oriended comic, but I wish I still had it. Ninjas. Forever.
As much as the vintage MOTU are, I like the fact that these are so close. Gives me/us the opportunity to get some vintage looking characters for not all kinds of $$$. Cool stuff.
The laser tag helmet is similar to the chest pieces where the top is the sensor you aim for and the front lights count how many hits you can take. We had some serious capture the flag night fights with lazer tag where we played on a strip of forested land off the inter coastal and at the center of it was the lazer base that would try to hit all of us. Great times and still have some guns and chest pieces.
Didn't realize how much I missed that jingle. Glad these are back. I had that same itch and was able to go to a con again recently. I really missed toy hunting but things have gotten very expensive.
I had that Sector knock off also when i was a kid. My sword was chrome too. and the holt for the sword does pegs would break. mine came with a mech centaur. it would walk and the top half would spin. it was fun when i was a kid.
I had that issue of Ninja. The one with the black ninja on the cover. I remember dreaming of getting all the stuff you could order in there. The stars and the tonfas sure, but 11 year old me wanted those tabi boots most of all.
The Ninja mags look eerily familiar. I'm not sure if I had some of those, but I can remember my friends and I getting magazines that had sales info ninja weapons, outfits, etc. I can remember longing to get a ninja climbing spikes and some tabai(sp?) the split toe shoes.
NINJA Magazine huh? Don't think I've heard of it but somehow not surprised. always cool to see a lazer tag helmet! some cool stuff in this one for sure.
@@ThePhenomf4 I take back my last comment.. kinda. I have had the Horde Trooper sealed this entire time. I just opened him. I can position the head to get the look that I am used too. However, the color still seems off to me.
Dan you should do a video on the whole line that Bizarro Sectaur guy comes from. Your description made it sound interesting. It surprised me that a whole knock off line was made, since Sectaurs was really just a blip that didn't last long on shelves.
I love Toy Galaxy, but Dan In The Photo booth is my REAL jam! Glad you're back and I'm curious to see what the best figure of this year will be! Hopefully it will be the new Neca ultimate Robocop or new Lugosi Dracula
FWIW the Origins Vehicles Retailed ~$34, the Battle Cat/HeMan 2-pack was closer to 50 IIRC.... IF you timed the Clearance-ing right You could find them for under $10... I think the most Dangerous think a collector can say (Other than "My Partner doesn't need to know how much I spent on this") is "I'm only going to get the ones I had as a Kid... -- I didn't even make it past wave one and I broke that 'rule'... and aforementioned Clearance sales saw me get two of each Wind Raider and Stridor (1986 me never even saw them in stores)
I also wasn't going to collect MotU Origins. However, I found He-Man on clearance for $5, and couldn't pass him up as MotU was the first figure line I had as a kid. Then Battle Cat followed, then Wind Raider, Panthor, and Skeletor. All were clearance prices. Now my one year old plays with Skeletor and Wind Raider more than his MotU Little People.
I had a few of those Ninja magazines when I was a boy. We lived in the country and there were no other kids around, so I'd often just go out into our wooded areas and try to "disappear" with ninja skill. Obviously, had anyone been looking for my overweight 12 year old frame I'm sure seeing me would have been easy as pie, but in my mind I was Ninja. 🤣🤣
I was hoping there'd be a new one of these. Glad to see it's back. I still am waiting for more Oddities videos; I would love to see you do one of the Lanard Toys K9 Corps figures, and compare them to Road Rovers (which needs its own history of video, if only to clear up the reasons why it was canceled). I've been slowly building up my collection, as well; finally got a Storm COllectibles Kintaro figure, which I love, even if it is a bit fiddly with the legs and feet. Also got almost all of the Season 1 Beast Wars figures (just needing Tarantulas and Inferno from the Legacy line), and got a few more Final Faction figures (which need their own Oddities or History Of video) and a knock-off Masterpiece Tigatron figure (which has problems, but it's fine; I'm looking into getting the knock-off Masterpiece Cheetor soon). Glad you're gotten back into the swing of things. THat Lazer Tag thing is pretty cool; my roommate is a huge fan of laser tag, so I dunno if he knows about the old home set for it.
I always enjoy seeing 80s ninja stuff cuzz I grew up with Naruto, Jackie Chan Adventures, and TMNT 2003, so the iconography is similar but also so different.
What do you think of custom heads for MOTU figures like those from Barbarossa Customs? I mean, do you buy extra heads for your figures to customize them?
Nice!! I missed seeing these 'flea market finds' videos 😃 Also used to love those 'PO Box' videos but seems to be a while... you guys gonna do that again any time soon..?
MOOSE! Still waiting on mine, Four Horsemen announced they're expecting to be getting their all-in shipments in Friday, and they'll be shipping soon after.
That lazer tag helmet may have battle scars, but sometimes it adds character IMO (depending on the item & the damage) Edit: I grew up in the 90s & my lazer tag set only came with the guns & chest pieces. They didn't work too well either from what I remember lol. Only wanted them cuz we went to a lazer tag party that was set up like a futuristic maze with hideaways secret areas etc. It was so much fun, do they still have stuff like that nowadays?
Sure you think those Ninja magazines are harmless but that is because you didn't have issue 3. In that one you learned how to rip a mans heart out with your hand and lets just say, my parents are still mourning the loss of my brother.
Why TF would your wife want to make a Christmas decoration scene out of several moose as if they are reindeer? Moose or not reindeer. That's a dumb idea.. it's a damn good thing that's too costly.
To me, the new Origins line has one big advantage over the retro line: you can pose them without worrying about the legs falling apart.
The Lazer Tag product designer deserves a lot of credit. I can't think of another laser tag set that is more iconic, or even really put much effort into styling.
Photon says hello! 😀
they should come included with the Tesla truck
Dan there’s always something really satisfying about watching your videos- if it’s adding to the Boba Set, or doing your top ten it’s all so watchable
Of all the stuff u pulled out that hit me with nostalgia, those damn Ninja magazines. Wow I was all in on the Ninja craze, those magazines were everything lol😂
Great Stuff! These flea-market showcases are still fun!
Flea market finds are my favorite Toy Galaxy videos. Very exciting to see a new one! ☺️
The vintage Sectaurs knock off figures quickly sell on eBay. You could easily sell that Dargon figure.
OMG! I owned both of those Ninja magazines along with many others. I wanted to be a ninja as a kid, but alas, it never happened.
I would have absolutely bought those ninja magazines. Whom amongst us wouldn't have? I bought a comic called Ninja Funnies back when I was a kid, it was definitely more of an adult-oriended comic, but I wish I still had it. Ninjas. Forever.
Love booth videos. I remember wanting laser tag so badly as a kids. The commercials made it look so cool.
As much as the vintage MOTU are, I like the fact that these are so close. Gives me/us the opportunity to get some vintage looking characters for not all kinds of $$$. Cool stuff.
Vermont actually does have flea markets from time to time.

OMG THAT SECTAUR GUARDIANS OF POWER WHATEVER FIGURE AHHHHH I WANT IT!
I still have a laserdisc player in my theater. I bought so many on ebay during the height of the pandemic.
Didn't realize how much I missed that jingle. Glad these are back.
I had that same itch and was able to go to a con again recently. I really missed toy hunting but things have gotten very expensive.
When Dan said "Let me grab my He-Man" I said, "Excuse me? what kind of show is this? Is the channel TV-MA now?" 😄
That's why they changed the channel name...cuz toy galaxy is there only fans channel 🤣
Forget the moose, get Mrs. Toy Galaxy 8 more Stridors for the xmas display! 😄
Can't wait to see Santa's sleigh being pulled by Stridor and a moose
I had that Sector knock off also when i was a kid. My sword was chrome too. and the holt for the sword does pegs would break. mine came with a mech centaur. it would walk and the top half would spin. it was fun when i was a kid.
Forgot how much I missed the flea market finds!! It’s almost nostalgic now lol 😂
I had that issue of Ninja. The one with the black ninja on the cover. I remember dreaming of getting all the stuff you could order in there. The stars and the tonfas sure, but 11 year old me wanted those tabi boots most of all.
Lazer tag!!! That brings memories. We had the home cheaper version "Photon' as a kid!
OOOOOF the hard plastic tappy sound on the Sectaur knockoff.
The Ninja mags look eerily familiar. I'm not sure if I had some of those, but I can remember my friends and I getting magazines that had sales info ninja weapons, outfits, etc. I can remember longing to get a ninja climbing spikes and some tabai(sp?) the split toe shoes.
“My wife wants me to get more toys” is one of the holy grails of marriages.
NINJA Magazine huh? Don't think I've heard of it but somehow not surprised. always cool to see a lazer tag helmet! some cool stuff in this one for sure.
I loved Ninja Magazine! Got a ninja suit and climbing claws!
I absolutely read the Ninja magazine as a kid. Ate it up with a spoon.
I definitely had that snow ninja issue
I know your main channel and "History of" segments are the bulk of your shows....but I could watch your Photo Booth segments all day!
I miss these vids ...... Love this stuff!
I remember in the 80s seeing an infomercial selling replica Ninja costumes.... 🤷♂️🤣🤣
I was all in on the Origins line. Then I was severely disappointed in the Horde Trooper. I was like, yeah, this is a good stopping point.
What was wrong with the trooper? I’m still looking for one and I’d prefer not to overpay for it.
@@ThePhenomf4 He's more of a silver instead of the light gray the original was. Plus I feel like too much of his face is exposed.
@@ThePhenomf4 I take back my last comment.. kinda. I have had the Horde Trooper sealed this entire time. I just opened him. I can position the head to get the look that I am used too. However, the color still seems off to me.
@@darktoylord that’s good to know. The colors do tend to differ from the vintage figures. Man at Arms is especially off with the skin tones.
That reindeer reminds me of Thranduil's ride from the Hobbit movie.
Great finds! Awesome video! God bless you and yours!

Time to start the vintage mini Boba collection.
Gridiron Studios is awesome, their stuff is so great for Classifieds.

Hell yeah a 2nd helmet!!
24:42 Hi producer Greg. Good tastes, except Batman Forever is fun. I love campy superheroes! Superheroes can be fun.
Right but he only wants the Burton movies with Keaton in them.
For a moment I thought the Sectaurs knock off was from Lord of Insects but the colors are wrong. It is from Guardian Patrol.
I was hoping there'd be a new one of these. Glad to see it's back.

"I'm not going to be getting one." Famous words.
ninjas are still all over today, you just cant see them. because they are NINJAS!
I've missed these.
Kudos +1 - Editors notes /thebest
I grabbed those 3 motu on clearance too. I swapped the head on my he-man for that one. Then swapped armor on my Battlecats.
Upvote if you thought Tony Todd was sublime casting for Skareglow
There are FOUR lights!
I've really got to start going to local flea markets.
Dan, should you ever decide to part with the Dargon KO, I will pay you handsomely for him. Great score!
Cheers!
I always enjoy seeing 80s ninja stuff cuzz I grew up with Naruto, Jackie Chan Adventures, and TMNT 2003, so the iconography is similar but also so different.
Come to Houston we have a lot of flea markets
Real cool knockoff figure. I love figures that can be put into multiple lines.
Hey Dan! This is a Flea Market and Sweet meet lover He He, It's the best way to get the rare's for the lowest price.
The Editor's Note .....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good stuff!
What do you think of custom heads for MOTU figures like those from Barbarossa Customs?
I mean, do you buy extra heads for your figures to customize them?
Wait a minute-- does Battle Cat/Cringer have articulation? The one I had as a kid was one hunk of non-posable plastic.
This is the new Origins version which, yes, has articulation that the vintage one did not.
Nice!! I missed seeing these 'flea market finds' videos 😃
Also used to love those 'PO Box' videos but seems to be a while... you guys gonna do that again any time soon..?
MOOSE! Still waiting on mine, Four Horsemen announced they're expecting to be getting their all-in shipments in Friday, and they'll be shipping soon after.
Eagerly waiting for you to cover the bootleg sectaur history and storyline!
th-cam.com/video/zVDF5KF1U1Q/w-d-xo.html
Stridor and the Wing Raider look good the rest of the line is sub standered.when you have Classics
Unless you want 5.5 figures then MOTUC is the worst.
That lazer tag helmet may have battle scars, but sometimes it adds character IMO (depending on the item & the damage)
Edit: I grew up in the 90s & my lazer tag set only came with the guns & chest pieces. They didn't work too well either from what I remember lol.

Alright comment section you know what to do. Send Dan all Motu origins from trapjaw to sorceress to everything in-between. He will one of us.
You paid $20 for that Windraider when I just got a second one at Walmart on clearance for $7.00
Glad to see you getting more into MOTU:Origins!
(Happy to be the 420th like!) 😶🌫
Mrs. Toy Galaxy steered you completely in the right direction. If you want, I’ll give you 500% of what you paid on that not-Dargon-or-Adam knockoff.
Get on Masterverse quick, I bought a Slelegod from TK-Maxx(TJ-Maxx) for £17 last week, also got Stinkor, Scareglow and Mer+Man at the same price 🤟🏻
“I’m not collecting Origins.” - Dan
What are your thoughts on the Four-Horsemen’s He-Man inspired figures? Also, I love the “Weiland Yutani” logo on the Star Helmet.
The original Origins He-Man looks like they put Michael Jackson’s face on him and was weird
Sure you think those Ninja magazines are harmless but that is because you didn't have issue 3. In that one you learned how to rip a mans heart out with your hand and lets just say, my parents are still mourning the loss of my brother.
Not for nothing but moose and rain deer are very different animals. 12 moose would be ridiculous
That's why she wants them.
Lazer Skull is iconic.
@SlipshodAverage Lazer Tag remains the coolest looking of all consumer lazer product lines to date.
Why TF would your wife want to make a Christmas decoration scene out of several moose as if they are reindeer? Moose or not reindeer. That's a dumb idea.. it's a damn good thing that's too costly.
