Not going to lie, this video was emotionally painful to put together. It is really just a glimmer of life in Jerusalem - please subscribe, share and like to keep the message alive! Love you guys, B
Thank you for putting this together. I am an American Jew.. I was inside the Dome in the 80s. Footage like your and the narration you provide is very unusual and I feel a fair and accurate account. I appreciate that you put this out there.
I want to say first of all that I really liked your video and found it very informative. You only saw things from the Palestinian side, and while it is important to see their side. I believe the Israeli side is also important. You had a small error about Israelis walking around the mosque that I wanted to clear up for you. First, I was one of the people who walked around the Mosque, but I didn’t do it because I wanted to see the Mosque destroyed. Most of the people in my group were not Israeli. There was a Canadian man and his daughter. I am American. I was there with my American friend, who is basically family. Then there was an Israeli father with his two year old son, and one man who was a radical. I think he was about 60 years old. He was an American, who made Aliyah years ago, and he was trying to convince the rest of us that the Third Temple should be rebuilt. He felt that the Mosque should be carefully relocated to another country, so that the temple could stand where g-d revealed that it needed to be. It was sad for me, because the only reason we were not allowed to go wherever we wanted, outside of the Mosque of course, was because we were Jews. We were surrounded by an armed guard the whole time, and a Palestinian man with a hand held radio followed our group from about 5 meters away. I felt like I was being guarded. I wanted to explore other areas like the other tourists, but as a Jewish girl I was dangerous and needed a guard. It was sad to see remains of the second temple on the ground. Of course, religious Jews don’t want to accidentally walk on the Holy of Holies, but the reason we walk around the mosque in circles is that we are not allowed to get closer. We are also not allowed to pray on the Mount. Our group left the mosque after a man drove past in a golf cart spraying some sort of pink smoke. One of the guards said, “Whatever that is it is probably not good for your health to breath it.” Our whole group exited into the old city after the smoke was dispensed, so we didn’t even get to walk all the way around the Mosque once. I enjoyed getting to see what the inside of the Mosque looked like from your video! It was splendid. Unfortunately, I’ll never get to enter the Mosque. I will instead have to admire it from the outside. I can understand why Palestinians fear Jews and don’t want to let us have the freedom to explore the dome of the rock that they give to other groups. I’m not mad about it. I would however appreciate it if you would clarify that the reason groups of Jews walk around the Mosque is because that is all Jewish tourists, who want to visit the dome of the rock, are allowed to do. If Muslims want to come to the Western Wall there are no guards to stop them. They wouldn’t need to walk around it, because they could simply enter and approach the wall. In fact EVERYONE is allowed to go to the western wall as long as they are dressed modestly. You could also go to the wall, and you’ll see that while you do need to pass security to get into the plaza. You don’t have to be Israeli or even Jewish to leave a message or pray at the wall.
@@ashes2539 Thanks for sharing your story. One thing you may not know, is there were Jews in my group, and they were allowed inside as well. They do not discriminate against people of other faiths if everything is planned in advance, instead of walking around in a menacing way. The Palestinians do have a reason to be cautious, as the IDF has come in several times aggresively shooting at worshippers which is exactly what happened not to long after this was filmed. Wondering if you remember this inicident here: th-cam.com/video/QR-c5QsoPxI/w-d-xo.html Israeli forces injured at least 150 Palestinians and arrested hundreds of others in a raid in occupied East Jerusalem. It happened as worshippers attending early morning prayers at Al Aqsa Mosque. Then there was this attack, where Israeli forces shot rubber bullets and stun grenades as Jewish nationalist groups gathered at the entrance of the holy site demanding entry to mark “Jerusalem Day.” th-cam.com/video/_4wVYYQXTdQ/w-d-xo.html Palestinian fears are not unfounded. They have no way of knowing which Israeli groups are visiting, and which are planning an attack. The unpredictabiity puts everyone on edge. Also. I tried to enter the Wailing Wall area to put a prayer there for my Jewish friend from the states. Twice they did not let me in, even with an American passport.

Well, we were not allowed to enter this facility as Christians, but were allowed to pray at the wailing wall. How about open this place up as the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, and have time allocated for Muslims, Jews(reformed), and Christian to pray?
As a Christian I was allowed in, but you have to be part of a tour group that make special reservations in advance. They do this for security, as this compound has been attacked numerous times (as recently as last year.)

My comment may sound very harsh, but is the truth. I grew up near a Jewish community in North Miami Beach and I have to say I found less racism in North Carolina, W. Virginia, Vermont, Tennessee than I did in N. Miami! The majority of the Jewish people in this area, I cannot comment outside N. Miami, are extremely racist. Not so long ago I got into a very strong argument with a gentleman in N. Miami when he heard me talking in Spanish, got very offensive, and told me to "get back to my country", similar incidents are very common here around the Jewish community, its weird. I lost it, told him he and his "kind", yes I said it like that because I wanted him to feel the same pain I felt" were a bunch of hypocrites and ungrateful and been so " American " was a bunch of bullshit for the Jewish, maybe he was never taught or he forgot during WW2 ships coming from Europe to America were turned around because America did not want any Jews, and who embraced the fleeing Jews? - Mexico, Costa Rica, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Colombia, etc, yes the same "Hispanics" he was discriminating against. Told him that by now Israel and all the Jewish people around the world should be the "Voice" against racism since 6+ million lives were lost to this horrible thinking. Before I left, I showed him my active duty military id card, yes I was active in the United States Marine Corps and had just gotten back from Iraq. "... ain't life full of surprises...? Semper Fi

@Story time with Mr G. I truly hope you encounter no problems getting in. The more research you do the better off you will be. So wonderful that you want to connect with the educators there. I’m worried that if I did take them, the experience would be traumatic for them, being so young, because the Israeli Radicals. I have not been there in soooo long and hope to one day go. I’m open to any suggestions on the best way to travel there and get the most out of the trip.
To avoid problems, I suggest you stay in Jerusalem first. Try staying at the AMBASSADOR HOTEL (BEST) 7 ARCHES in the MOUNT OF OLIVES or the RITZ HOTEL. In Ramallah I recommend: MILLENIUM HOTEL CARMEL HOTEL ROYAL COURT (CENTRAL LOCATION) As for tour companies, check out: www.netours.com/country/holy-land or 2) Green Olive Tours; greenolivetours.com/ Hope you do go and good luck!
The tour guide gave me a hard act to follow--he said even if I had the same recipe it won't taste the same, unless I bake them on the Jerusalem olive wood logs. Will see what I can do! ;)
Never worry about the Dome of the Rock. No force on earth can replace it. It was written in the Scriptures long ago and it was there for 1400 years with glory even though some tried to demolish it few times, but they suffered the fate as it was prophesied by the Messiah. *Psalm 118:21-22* I (David) will give You thanks, for You have answered me, and You have become my salvation. The Stone/Rock the builders were forbidden (i.e. Haram) has become the foundation stone. This (Stone/Rock) is from the LORD (i.e. Al-Sharif: one of esteem origin), and it (i.e. Haram Al-Sharif) is marvelous in our eyes. *Matthew **21:42**-44* Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone the builders were forbidden has become the foundation stone. This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people (i.e. Muslims) who will produce its fruit. He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.”

Can you also tell me the location of the bread shops because I want to eat bread and falafel in the old town of Jerusalem just like you! ☮️ ❤️🇵🇸
Thanks for watching and wish you a safe and amazing journey! To enter the Mosque we had to get international clearance as journalists under the Palestinian authority. Perhaps you can inquire with an agency like this: heritagetours.co/land-of-the-prophets-ii
For the best falafel and hummus in Jerusalem, you MUST visit Abu Shukri: www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g293983-d807774-Reviews-Abu_Shukri-Jerusalem_Jerusalem_District.html
The bakery we visited was called Abu Sneina, but they were forced to close, more on this: english.alsiasi.com/why-the-closure-of-an-old-palestinian-bakery-in-jerusalem-matters/
However, the 3 main Palestinian bakeries in Jerusalem sell their fresh bread to all the vendors daily, look out for their carts at Damascus Gate. This will be a trip of a lifetime and I am so excited for you!
@@blanchetv what a lot of fantastic information you’ve shared, thank you.
I have watched a few videos on The Dome of the Rock and I have a feeling that I’m going to walk straight in….I will look at the info you have sent me as well!
I am also going to try and make contact with the local school in the village I am staying in because I am a school teacher of 5-11 year olds and I am interested to look at the education system as well.
I only have two weeks and there is too much to do already!
@Story time with Mr G. I truly hope you encounter no problems getting in. The more research you do the better off you will be. So wonderful that you want to connect with the educators there. One place you will want to visit is the Yabous Cultural center in Jerusalem. They are doing fantastic work with Palestinian students in Jerusalem: yabous.org/en/
Thank you again, I have been doing my research and I think my main aim is just to connect with the people. I’ll let you know I got on.
My heart Palestine ❤️🧡💛💚💙

How do you contact the Islamic Trust to get permission to enter the Al-Asqa Mosque? Is their an email or website? Thank you
Here you go, hope this helps: www.visitmasjidalaqsa.com/masjid-al-aqsa-travel-tips-information/
Al aqsa mosque is the green dome one not golden dome
Thank you for sharing such a great video! I’ve been wanting to take my daughters and husband to visit and to teach my girls their Palestinian roots.
Try staying at the AMBASSADOR HOTEL (BEST)
7 ARCHES in the MOUNT OF OLIVES or the RITZ HOTEL.
In Ramallah I recommend:
MILLENIUM HOTEL
CARMEL HOTEL
ROYAL COURT (CENTRAL LOCATION)
As for tour companies, check out: www.netours.com/country/holy-land or 2) Green Olive Tours; greenolivetours.com/
Hope you do go and good luck!
Thank you so much!
The 3rd temple is not just significant to Muslim and Jews as it is very important and valuable to Christians too. Great video my Christian sister❤
I need a guide when I visit
Such a shame. Things are getting crazy everywhere. But in Israel I think it’s going to start getting nuts soon.?
TheGooners11 The ones that Jesus called the synagogue of Satan while He was on the earth.
By the way, a sesame bread recipe would be appreciated. I know it won't compare, but it would be appreciated :)
The tour guide gave me a hard act to follow--he said even if I had the same recipe it won't taste the same, unless I bake them on the Jerusalem olive wood logs. Will see what I can do! ;)

Wow
Beautiful Palestine , i really want to visit masjid al aqsa.
