The best 22 i ever owned. I have a ruger wrangler single action pistol as well. When hunting small game in kentucky or just out in the woods i love them both. Theres no place i cant go and feel very confadent in my shot placement. I normally shoot sub sonic ammo. Its vert accurate.
Should be careful swinging that thing around loaded like that… loaded gun should always be pointed down range even if there’s no round in the chamber. Mistakes happen to anyone. Other than that great review I think I’m going to be buying one! Stay safe 🤘🏼

If I try to do an FFL trough any store in town they get pissed off, and tell me it will be $200 to do that, in order to make me shut up and go away. Most gun stores hate their customers.
Brass Bangin can you use this as a single shot manual load and shoot shorts and longs? Maybe it would need a magazine in place or would it shoot single shot with no magazine?
Can definitely load individual rounds in one at a time into the barrel. I’ve done it before but I don’t remember whether it needed a magazine in or not.
I wonder if they make an after market mag release for this like they do for the 10/22. Oh, learn to run that bolt without un-shouldering it. Thumbs up!

Reasonably accurate. My stepson was getting about 4 inch groups at 200 yards. But, he has a scope. It's a nikon by I don't know the model. With open/iron sights you can get hits within a 10 inch group but the fiber optic front sight makes it difficult to be extremely accurate.
It was on sale, not sure it can be found for that price anymore. But Green Top Hunt/Fish. It’s a local store to where I used to live but you can check their website and order off there if need be

I regret buying my American Rimfire. The center line of the magazine does not line up with the center line of the chamber so consequently the ammunition gets hung-up when the nose of the bullets hit the left side of the chamber. Ruger refuses to fix it. Garbage company!
How loud is this gun. I'm looking into getting a .22 rifle for the 2.5 acres we are moving on. Need something quiet for snakes, rodents or the new neighbors cat.

About that 10 round mag.....I super glued a large blue wire nut to the bottom of mine for a handle.
Needed a .22 and always wanted a Henry but found the ruger. 22 lr American rifle. I love it

You can always manually load shorts regardless of the action
Enjoy the smooth operation, but mine lacks significantly in the accuracy department.

I can barely get 1” groups at 50 yards using a variety of high quality ammo.
Fish On! Maybe the trick is bulk ammo 😂 just kidding. I haven’t taken it to 50 yards yet I’ve only tried with iron sights at 35 or so yards tops
Yeah, it does just about as well with bulk as with the expensive stuff. It’s fun to shoot, just wish it was a bit more accurate.

You should really avoid dry firing. Not good for rimfire guns.
