For me, I genuinely prefer playing shooters that are bigger than yourself, that it’s not oriented on self interests (Camos/ ranking system etc) But actually, a massive team based game working towards a common goal. A game that can completely change dependent on leadership. Games like squad, Squad 44, Isonzu, war of rights. And other types. These games actually have depth, purely on gameplay alone, not micro transactions. mod support can actually produce a vision in conjunction with the game. It may be niche, but I genuinely have fun working together. Socialising and Community seems to be the lifeblood of games. It’s why they are so popular and do not need to release a game every year because of it. Idk it’s just my perspective. If something somehow can mix games like call of duty, apex but with the apparatus of the community based model.
Yeah that makes alot of sense. That may be a path I have to travel down to see if there is something I can wrap myself around. There are things I’m excited for coming but right now it’s a bit rough. Good insight though.

I think all the movement mechanics in COD, regardless of which type, are just a part of the COD universe at this point. The overall idea is that the dominant games in the space need to be something besides COD. If you want to run around like a cracked out bunny rabbit, then sure play cod, but we need MORE iteration on games not more iteration in COD.
What these fucking games are missing is a campaign and a good story to go along with DEEP COMOLICATED GAMEPLAY, that’s what destiny did and that’s why thise are the only games were I have 4000 hrs combined.
A solid story wouldn't hurt. That could have something to do with the demand of the market in the FPS space. Maybe the demo for the genre overall is less concerned with story and just wants more goofy ass skins?? The COD campaign and Battlefield campaign were always fun back in the day. I never got into Destiny but i know its still super popular and highly regarded.

A new player, I thought the idea of crazy moves in Warzone was great, but after a while of playing and watching videos of old games, I discovered that the essence and strength of the game is in its simulation of reality, even if only slightly, but what is happening now is madness. You can have the best aiming accuracy in the world and someone comes along sapm yy and will kill you after he jump 12 time and do slide cancel wtf ? That’s why game like we should get back

The Finals is fun for sure. Not something that holds my interest for more than a few hours, just because the gameplay loop is pretty cut and dry, but definitely a great game.

Beta coming soon so ill be making some content on that - genuinely an awesome game. FragPunk for sure - the other 2 I'm not super familiar with. Only played Splitgate for a few hours but neat concept. Arena Breakout is on my list as well as Delta Force, which i received a key for and will be streaming tonight actually!! DMZ failed because you can't make an extraction shooter with the idea of it being accessible and not punishing. That's exactly what Activision tried to do, an accessible extraction shooter that doesn't punish the player, which is an antithesis to the genre. The fact that you can lose everything you've spent hours farming for in an instant is what makes Tarkov and all the other extraction shooters so engaging, precisely because there's risk involved. DMZ tried to be a low risk Tarkov and in the process made it not interesting at all.
For real my bro got into dmz and talked me into playing with him, and everytime I do I'm just asking what the point us. 30minute matches where you mostly just see bots and open chests with boring worthless loot that I have no reason to carry cuz I already got a gun, a armor, and a self revive(inventory full) 🤷♂️ it's so goofy, I should have a waaay bigger bag and a stockpile outside DMZ so I can actually build up my loot reserves. There's legit no reason to play DMZ at all. No risk, no goal
Yup. I can give a small amount of credit for them trying something new but they just don't seem to ever know what to do with game overall and it changes from studio to studio. We've got 5000 attachments when only 2 guns are meta, bunny rabbits, furry people, cats and all kinds of shit as skins, Fortnite graphic overlays and textures, idk lol like i get its an arcade shooter but just be ONE. This campaign was one of the worst received for Modern Warfare and I think that just goes back to the fact that they aren't worried about the "Modern Warfare" part of it anymore. It's just a huge money maker for them so they do whatever whenever if its trending. They are also trying to please millions of people which isn't possible.

I’m into a legit Milsim with a legit inventory/looting, healing and gear system type of hardcore style extraction shooter. It can be chill like hunt showdown, hawked and etc but delta force is something to look forward to in the future.
Just play Operation Harsh doorstep people. Thats the answer to all your questions. Plus the dev is a Credited youtuber himself and is very engaged with the community. Support that game & the devs and I swear, it will obliterate everything else. Its only in beta and its better than every shooter. Also, its free on steam.
A New Era of First Person Shooters Is N0T Coming, BECAUSE, The majority of gamers are console gamers and now with crossplay , they must keep with consoles , this mean overpowered aim assist and dumb machanics like No recoil and no spread like Cod have. Every game wannna copy Call of duty or Fortnite, Theres nothing new, everyone is copying each other like cod did copying fortnite events and skins....
I could agree to a point but there definitely are some hybrids that are at least attempting to blend mechanics and genres that don't necessarily favor console. Arena is a good example of that. I know the monetization scheme is sleazy but its not a console game. Same with Spectre Divide, definitely not a console game. Delta Force sure, basically just Battlefield with an extraction mode but Its currently NOT available on console either. So there are games out there that are not catering to console, at least for the time being.
@@scrimgaming bl2 came out 2012 and 3 was in 2019 story kinda took a down turn in 3 but gameplay is by far the best feeling in the series… tina’s wonderlands has mixed reviews i haven’t tried it but it’s the newest and on the same engine as 3 (UE4) so similar feel… 2 is a classic but lacks some QOL stuff they added in 3 like eridium autopickup but handsome jack is regarded as one of the best villains in gaming the graphics still look great cuz the art style is timeless, the story is still pretty funny if dated at times but in 3 almost feels more outdated cuz they were trying to cash in on the whole streaming craze and got pretty cringe at times… it’s maybe not a very realistic game with the most involved gameplay in the world like some of the games you talked about but it’s a classic imo

I saw their new map. Colorado I think. Looked really nice. Never played the game. I think the guns turned me off when I first saw it. Heard a lot of good feedback tho.
For me Fortnite is the only good MODERN 3rd person shooter. I don't think there's any good 1st person shooters. I only enjoy older FPS games like Counter Strike and Team Fortress lol!
