  • A deep dive into why it was a historically bad move for the WNBA to not place Caitlin Clark on Team USA. Including a comparative in how the NBA took full advantage of their Olympic opportunity to grow their popularity globally, and of how deserving she actually was of having been given a spot.

I'm a Years Long Fan of Caitlin Clark, Not a WNBA Fan. I'll watch until it becomes too miserable and experience, and then I'll Bail. After All, there are only so many Blown Uncontested Layups and Open Shots that don't even touch the rim, that anyone can subject themselves to without ending the visual Abuse. I figure I'm good to the end of this season, but without changes that End The Perpetual Pouting, Demanding, Temper Tantrum Throwing, Physically Abusive Playing that is excused away as "Physicality", couched in the Outright LIE, "that's the way it has always been. We are a Physical League" Nonsense.
People(Mostly Crooked Politicians) been peeing on my Boots, telling me it;s Raining, most of my Adult Life, and I haven't bought it yet, and these Spoiled, Petty and Petulant Brats in the WNBA, won't ever make that Dog hunt, for me

This paradoxical language is the “players union” trying to “put Caitlin in her place” behind the scenes. A lot of the WNBAs top player have mothers who were NCAA stars before the creation of the WNBA. They are protecting their legacies at the expense of the league’s popularity and revenue growth. At the end of her 4 year contract she should go overseas or quit basketball, all this emotional abuse isn’t worth it.
I feel like there is a MAJOR consumer choice issue going on here. The WNBA is seemingly telling its customers that they will not, under any circumstances, let them dictate who is popular and who’s name sells the most product.
She’s so good, even with bullying, both on and off the court, they have to start rigging the outcome. The analytics group has figured out how to make her look bad, and on orders from the top, the coach and GM will sidelined her when commanded to do so.
When her WNBA contact is up, she can go to FIBA, get fast tracked for naturalization in whatever county she qualifies, and then play in the Olympics for that country. Young Boomers and Old Gen Xers are trying to “pick winners”, in defiance of the evidence, and trying to tell the market what they are allowed buy.
They are forgetting, she doesn’t have to stay in the USA and once her WNBA contract is up, pending on her endorsement deals, can leave forever. None of these things work the way the “management class” seems to believe.

Why playing in FIBA Under 16 and Under 19 with an MVP by CC means not an international experience in FIBA rules Remember Olympic basketball use FIBA rules not NBA/ FIBA rules.
CC scored the highest points both men and women in NCAA including breaking the 3 points scorers and highest assist .
CC 3 points are almost beyond 25feet so who among the selected 12 players can match the skills of CC

Absolutely terrific fact based analysis of why Catlin Clark should be on the women's US Olympic Basketball Team, and how galactically stupid are the women who have kept Clark off the Women's Olympic Team. Instead of the commanding the basketball world's attention, the US Olympic Basketball Team will have everyone just picnicking.

Great video I like many others will purposely not watch the USA women’s basketball team in the Olympics. This will be the first time ever that I have not watched and I’m doing it based on principal there’s so much jealousy, unbelievable pettiness that resulted in Caitlin being left off off the team! There is one rationale I hate hearing is CC she’ll go many times in future Olympics… well just look at Cameron Brinks She thought she was going to the Olympics and here she ends up injured for a full year. You can’t count on tomorrow so I hate hearing she’ll have her time or Time will come…you just never know, it is such a shame for all those around the world that would’ve loved to see you CC in the Olympics. And I do believe in karma and I would put odds on it that those who blackballed her from being selected will have karma to look forward to.

Cherlyl Reeve's petulant rant about how n everyone is talking Caitlin Clark and not her team but now everyone has to talk about her team shows how totally prejudiced and unqualified she was to be on the selection committee for the US Olympic Team. Her animosity against Catlin Clark totally invalidates excluding Clark from the Olympic Team and puts Jennifer Rizzotti's vote in the same category. These two women's votes are so compromised as to absolutely require the adults in the matter to step up and FIX IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more talk. Just fix it.

If they don’t make the medal round would delight me,very very much!🎉 Let’s hope for the big L ! I don’t completely agree. There is a major sense entitlement with her fanbase. Are all these people going to watch, if Caitlin is sitting the bench like Christian Laettner in 1992. One concession leads to more. People who have raised children know this, people who negotiate or do sales know this.
Next thing, why isn’t Caitlin playing. I think she’s better than so & so. If the Women’s Olympic Team head coach is a Black women like Dawn Staley, she’ll be accused of racism, jealousy and sabotage of Caitlin by her fanbase, for not playing her. If they pick her, they’re almost compelled to give her at least 7th man type playing time minimum. She has to be actually on the court playing in the Olympics, for all the exposure benefits for the WNBA, to work their magic. Which just becomes a preferential treatment racket, to make WNBA players more icey with her.
Magic, Larry, MJ weren’t handed anything, which is why the NBA grew properly. You also didn’t see some of the racial undertones, you see with this Caitlin thing. MJ used to get hammered by opposing vets his rookie year. He got insane publicity, but MJ was a highlight machine averaging 28 ppg, as a rookie. Aside from the occasional open deep 3, CC isn’t really all that spectacular highlights wise in the pros.
If the WNBA was smart, they would have marketed Angel along with CC, even if she got a less shine than Caitlin. But they chose this good vs evil narrative versus the Magic/Bird “rivals” narrative, which is a continuation from college. Angel isn’t as popular, but she is very very popular. They have a similar track like a Bird and Magic, White girl from the rural area of Iowa versus Black girl from Baltimore, who were rivals in college and met in the most watched championship game. Neither is having as dominant a rookie year as a Bird and Magic had, but they have the top 2 stats of all rookies from 2024. WNBA didn’t think Angel would be as good as she is as a rookie, so they decided to heap all the praise on Caitlin from the door.
Wasn’t like Caitlin didn’t trash talk and John Cena opposing players game after game at Iowa, until she ran into LSU in the 2023 Women Final, who had given her that same energy.

    • @kzgdan
      @kzgdan 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

Nice try with your soft sell statement "I don't completely agree" to then reveal your true agenda. (hint: Angel)
Starting with your John Cena comment. Everyone who cares to know already knows that was directed at her strength and conditioning coach, not a team or player. Do your research.
If you'd watched her highlights you'd know that her deep threes aren't even the main thing she's done to help her team. It's the attention she draws, the passing, and being the floor general. She already broke Breanna Stewart's rookie record for most (8) games with 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. ...and the season isn't even halfway! ...and that coming against the best teams in the league, with no real practice time because of a ridiculous front-loaded schedule.
Your statement: "Next thing, why isn’t Caitlin playing. I think she’s better than so & so." Yeah, like we've never heard that statement in sports before! and kept someone off the team for it to boot! And Dawn Staley isn't the coach so not sure about the fear there. Nice reveal that you do see that WNBA players are "icey" with CC, now ask yourself why? I'd like to add that it is only certain WNBA players that are icy, not all, and definitely not the majority. Also, each of these bitter women is icy for their own disgusting reasons that have nothing to do with anything CC has done to them.
Your statement: "If the WNBA was smart, they would have marketed Angel along with CC". The WNBA didn't choose the good vs evil narrative, it developed because Angel is no angel. She says she embraces playing the villain, though I personally don't believe there is any playing, there is truly something wrong with her. When Angel (and Angel alone) stand and cheer when Chenneday Carter cheap shots CC there is something wrong and deeply personal being revealed. Imagine someone doing that to say Patrick Mahomes, would players on the opposing bench stand and cheer? No, they'd shake their head at the poor sportsmanship. Not so Angel.
Your comment: "WNBA didn’t think Angel would be as good as she is as a rookie, so they decided to heap all the praise on Caitlin from the door." Angel has done a great job and far better than expected, Kudos to her, but to infer that the WNBA "heaped" praise on CC is a joke. CC earned every bit of attention she has received. Whether in College or now in the WNBA. While she was breaking BB records and setting attendance records in College there were people like you who said no one would watch her in the WNBA. Now CC has people like you tracking down youtube videos and posting comments.🤭 Which brings up to the point of contention of this TH-cam video.
Why would you keep the number one draw to your sport off the US Olympic team? In any true objective analysis, Caitlan Clark should be on that team. Full Stop.
