I figured out a formula to open the safe you spinn it in whatever direction more than 360° then stop at the middle of 2 round plates and press down on the latch if it dosent open then turn it 180° in the same direction as you spun it at first now push down on the latch and it will open
For those wondering, it's not necessarily the complexity of the safe that matters here, it's how clean and functional it is while being small enough to seem like a real potential safe in the Lego universe. I mean, it's really small, so the fact that it actually functions is the real treat here.
Once you know the mechanism, this would be pretty easy to brute force. Putting several combo dials on might make it more robust, or making a bigger combo dial with a bigger cypher wheel behind it.

Watching you build makes me want to be mean to animals. Seriously.. make your pieces tight. Those small gaps are unacceptable. Your hands wont get hurt by squeezing some legos together securely
I took 2 of those square crates, sandwiched them between a pair of 2X4 plates, added 2 2X2 jumpers, one with a silver stud, the other with a speed champions rim to act as the wheel
I ACTUALLY BUILT THIS SAFE AND IT REALLY WORKS REALLY REALLY REALLY WELL AND THE COMBINATION IS SO COMPLICATED NOBODY COULD EVER FIGURE IT OUT UNLESS THEY TOOK THE WHOLE THING APART AND EVEN THAT IS A LITTLE HARD

Step 1) Put the item in the centre of the room
Step 2) Surround it with lego
