To be fair to my boy Ike, no one likes being told they should smile more often. That said Engage was a blast. As much as I love story, Fire Emblem was always a series I played specifically for the gameplay, and it nailed a lot of the issues I had with 3H and SoV (3H DLC chapters were pretty good though to be fair). Oh yeah, the gameplay was amazing. Engage has so many mechanics that encourage you to play agressively if you don't want to be overwhelmed. I played on normal, but even on normal, the DLC broke me. Chapter 5 was so hard. And tight. God, that chapter was tight. Personally, I kinda liked the story. Alear being the straight man/woman in that army of weirdos was amazing. And that army had many weirdos. Bunet is kinda funny, even though I benched him. That guy just wants to eat everything. Literally everything. And Zelkovs Aspirin commercial was just peak. I still need to play the Thabes labyrinth in SoV. Oh, and the support logs in Sacred stones and Blazing sword I also still want to complete. I love GBA Fire Emblem. I hope the next Fire Emblem will also have good gameplay. I really want that Genealogy Remake. But that can wait until I played other games. And yeah, Houses. I got bored of the game during my second run, because I was literally playing the same maps as in the first route. Playing the same game 4 times doesn't really sound fun to me. And I played FE 7 over 12 times. But that game is really, really fun. Maybe we will see an FE 7 remake one day too. It would be cool.
Sadly Loop 8 is in my backlog and I am also stubborn enough to force myself to play it. Was really excited at first when I heard it included the development team from one of my all time favorite games Lunar but after the awful tutorial I decided it will stay on the shelf until I’ve completed absolutely everything else on my backlog. I gotta give Ryza 3 another chance sometimes. I enjoyed the first 2 quite a bit, but bounced off 3. My favorites in the series are the ones with time limits, immediate goals, and direction. Rorona, Totori, and Escha & Logy are the best. I don't expect Marie to be as good as those, but I will probably enjoy it more than recent entries.

Ohhh yeah me too! I’m just as big of a fan of Bayonetta too though, so I got over it, but Astral Chain sold well enough for them to do a sequel, going by what they said in developer interviews, anyway
That's a shame about Loop8. I thought it sounded good too. Though, I also got it mixed up in my head with another game, Zanki Zero: Last Beginning. I don't know why I thought one was the other!
Thank you so much for telling the negative points on loop8 I almost wasted 30 dollars on its sale I was thinking of getting it but now I’m not so sure I want from what I heard

question did you use overdrive, what ever the atk up was, and MC's atk buff misercorde? if so it is super easy to hit like every single boss on hard for 7000-9000 damage, also due to healing between fights I believe in the first game there was literally zero reason not basically instantly nuke everything. Haven't finished the 2nd game due battle changes causing me to put it on hold, but for the first every battle I think mostly was 2 side characters buff, recharging, MC super buff and nuke because misercorde is felt like 75% damage up. I don't still have it installed but pretty sure since hp/def didn't hardly matter I just stacked atk, and offense fragments (my biggest complaint about rpg's where you auto heal between fights doesn't matter if every fight you lose 90% hp, since it just heals anyhow), definitely was a fun game though. If names are wrong, or too vague sorry started 1st game back in 2019 (I think did like 4 fights), then finished it in 2021
I wouldn't remember at this point, I also played without looking anything up so attacks would seemingly randomly do more or less, since it hid everything about actions and fragments (outside of like atk up, etc...)
I know it’s been a while since this video’s released but I ADORE the timestamps you have in your videos 👍 If I already have the game I can skip to the next very easily ❤️
Conceptually Loop 8 sounds good, but it looks like misery to play. I never really thought about it much until it came out and there just doesn't look to be anything fun to physically play there. Watching an LP would be better use of time likely heh
Just played Astral Chain! And I agree the story was a little underwhelming but the gameplay, Ost, are awesome. Hopefully a sequel is made. A lot is left to be desired.
Your Loop8 review reminded me of when I bought Mato Anomolies despite it getting aggressively mid reviews. Like you, I was all "I can still find fun in imperfect games!" and bought it anyway. I was so bored I stopped a few hours in and haven't gone back. That burned me enough it actually stopped me from getting Loop8 and I guess I dodged a bullet! Bad reviews don't always necessarily mean a bad game (I have a fondness for Soul Hackers 2 but fully admit its faaar from Atlus' best work) a lot of the times...yeah there's a reason to pay attention to them all the same!
Also for those looking to the Atelier Marie Remake release and wondered if that OG version (which the West never got) is being preserved in any way, thankfully you can have that too with the Deluxe Edition for the Remake, with full translation and everything. Yh it sucks that it isn't its own release you can get separately or even just a free inclusion like Vanillaware does with their titles, but seeing as plenty of devs never re-release the OG version, preserving the title in a more direct way, I'll take it as a Deluxe Edition bonus at this point smh.
I really should finish Blue Reflection and Astral Chain at some point. I enjoyed my time with both of them but got distracted. I did stop Blue Reflection because of one particular sidequest at the end that has the only fight in the game that offered any challenge (I can't seem to get the timing right and heal the party before it does its super powerful attack and kills everyone.) as Trails Into Reverie came out... It can't be that difficult though (nothing else is!) so I'll go back to it at some point.
6:28 "You cannot mix them" "Either you stick to a sunday morning cartoon premise, or you go full on Berserk" I'd say recent fantasy works like The Dragon Prince nailed that balance right (and it's more on the serious side of the spectrum than Avatar: The Last Airbender which already had a nice balance). Although I haven't talked with a child/pre-teen who actually watched the show, so I can't tell how much they enjoyed it.
The sponsor of this episode is out of my expectation. Chinese developers of single-player games finally realized that they did almost 0 advertisement outside mainland China.
This is the first time I've actually sat through a sponsor Ad and the first time it's been about something that actually interested me lol That Wandering Sword game looks pretty good. Thanks for letting us know about the giveaway they're doing. Gonna try my luck at winning a free steam key lol
Almost all of these games are in my backlog already, being Loop8 and MHS 2 the exceptions. Since I noticed I have a similar taste for JRPGs as you do (Gust games most notably), I'll skip Loop8 without asking anything else. I'll just continue playing Sakura Wars for my visual novel needs instead. 😆
Damn. I also got the special edition of Loop8 and am saddened and how many people said it’s bad and now when you, my favorite TH-camr and Kiseki sensei lol, says he didn’t enjoy it it puts the final nail in the coffin. Luckily, I’m playing the Crossbell games now. I finished Zero a week ago and am now in chapter 2 of Azure. I plan to play Nayuta after Azure and then I’ll play Reverie. Once I finish Reverie I’ll have played every Trails game released outside of Japan and will join you in the suffering of waiting for the localization of the Kuro games. I’ve had practice with that waiting for Cold Steel 3 and 4, Crossbell games, and Reverie but it still sucks to have to wait so long knowing there are two more Trails games we’ve yet to experience. I don’t play PC so I can’t play a fan translated version of Kuro and I don’t just want to watch the story like I had to with Sky 3
Re: Atelier series and the gacha game, it's worth noting apparently the gacha game has been in production since before Ryza 2, so it's unlikely that it has had too much influence on the production of Ryza 2/3 or Sophie 2. It's definitely possible that Ryza 3 being such a huge game meant they had to rush here and there, hence the patches post game, and that this wasn't helped with 2! other Atelier games being released the same year, though. Anyway, my personal opinion is that they tied this up really damn well, and the new characters were really needed to enhance the themes and narrative of the story and shows how Ryza went from a plucky teenager to a well known and internationally respected alchemist.
I can't help but feel like Loop8 probably had both it's budget slashed and deadline pushed up, possibly multiple times, so they had to finish up with what they had done. Prime example are the people who's stats you can boost. There would be no reason to even bother teasing these characters as playable if they weren't intended to be. Another is the miniature number of endings to a game based around looping and (supposedly) choice indicates that they aimed for the moon and ran out a quarter of the way there. They might also have had someone point out the flaw in the time looping mechanic in regards to relationships, hence why the little squirrel creatures were added.
Lol that loop8 rant. Anyway for Ryza, I agree for some reason Ryza 2 ended up being everyone's favorite. Ryza 3 is just lacking a little something that made Ryza 2 great.
Ryza 3, Reverie and Atelier Marie Remake are on my wishlist. Blue Reflection i don't have a mood for play them. MH Stories 2, probably will wishlist it.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 is great. Will buy at some point when I clear some of my backlog. For anyone interested there is a massive demo for it that I still haven't finished yet lol. At least on PC there is. Unsure of other platforms but imagine there will be on consoles too.
i know you're not particularly high on Reverie but for me it's easily top 3 in the series behind azure/skys 3rd. would have loved to see a 2 or 3 game arc focused primarily on them.
By them, do you mean C's team? If so then absolutely. After two decades worth of games, 3 of the main arcs all having upbeat protagonist (excluding Kevin), it is a massive breath of fresh air to get a more witty cast of perfectly morally questionable individuals. That's one Kuro's biggest strengths is the fact that Van is the fantastic protagonist he is. The cast is fairly complimentary as well. Albeit, one of the down sides to the cast members like Agnes and Feri is the fact that they're wrriten as the moral compass among the group, meaning moments are forced to continue the ""right"" way rather than what Van would personally do himself.
@@thequincy_Yh, I still like Agnes and Feri ( tho I feel like her relevance fell off later down the line). But I like that they don't preach to Van about being Morally right. Van, Aaron( Heck Aaron even volunteered to kill in Vans place if it was hard for him), Shizuna and Risette are my favorite characters. I like that Van is this characters that is like a gateway to both the Underworld and The Light that brings everyone together! His flexible position as a Fixer make it actually more believable for me compared to Rean.
@@thequincy_ yes by "them" i meant C-team. i would always save their route for last because i wanted to savor every moment w/ them. LOVED that motley crew
@@narusas1222 I agree about the last part of what you said about Van. However that's my *main* issue with Agnes and Feri, I quite enjoy and like their characters, but at times their "morally right" stances tend to be a bit preachy.
@@thequincy_ Maybe, but at least they have the sensitivity to understand Van's reason for doing things his way. Van kinda reminds me of Gintoki ( Gintama Anime) and Dante ( Devil May Cry ), in which he's a private investigator who is not affiliated with any group, which also leads to them being flexible with everyone and does things their own way to get the job done. These are my favorite types of protagonists who if I tend to enjoy most. I'm not really deep into Kieseki lore but I can take Kuro as my first step into it. Sorry about my ranting 😓
what bothered me the most in FE:Engage was the fact that the enemies' level scaled to your average character level, which means you have no chance to alternate characters since neglected ones are way underleveled
Statement & Question. Found your channel when I was looking into Ys 8 and you talked me into getting it. Seen most, if not all of your videos since. Looking to start Trails series. I’d like to play in order. How much would you recommend Trails from Zero?
Zero and Azure are my favorites in the series so far, currently starting on CS4. But you really do need to start with the Sky series or you won't appreciate that [spoiler] is best girl.
Loop8 sounded really interesting, but man, did it come out bad. VERY glad I didn't buy it before hearing reviews for it because I was really looking forward to it and would've been massively upset if I had bought it. Kinda how I felt with Final Fantasy XV, the game that single handedly killed any faith I had in Square Enix.
Nice video, 2 rpgs I have to check out but I will say Astral Chain is awesome to an extent, I hate the detective part lol but the action is great. There is only 5 legions wish it had more & leveling them all up with the 1 rare chip pisses me off lol still i'd want a part 2. Reminds me of Chaos Legion for ps2 that game was crazy.
i know that the trails series are interconnected, and if you want full experience you should try to play all. But should I also play the other legends of heroes games (that are not trails. like dragon slayer and gagharv)? Is it like final fantasy that have their games be their own subcategory but has references of the overall series through crystals and summons and shit?
Probably in the minority here, but could never get into Astral Chain. Mainly due to the detective stuff, felt too tedoius imo. Pretty decent otherwise but not something I'd personally consider a masterpiece. Also yeah loop8 kinda sucked tbh, which is a big shame. Was also considering buying the collectors edition myself before it came along, but damn glad I didn't. Anyways, just finished Eternights myself and it's a top notch game, combat and dungeons aside.
I knew nothing about Loop8, saw it and thought it looked kinda like Persona. I like Persona, so I wishlisted it. I'm taking it off my wishlist now. I'm glad I didn't waste my money.
Damn, it's really that bad? Was actually looking forward to loop8, especially because I love that small japanese town setting. But okay...thanks for letting us know.
this loop8 game intrigues me greatly , i've seen many reviews which are mostly negative , but im still wondering if - as like you - i should try it myself to see if there is something great that others are missing here.....
FE Engage spoilers! I feel like Alear and Lumera's relationship would have been so much better if Lumera joined as a playable unit after chapter 3 and later died at chapter 10. It would have made the penultimate chapter even better
I see where you're coming from - doesn't elaborate on how to save the victims, 98% of conversations were generic and often has erratic AI behaviour, but Loop 8 as a whole was decent. The emotions system added a new sense of challenge to it, because it gave you a sense of "Will this interaction work, or will it screw everything up?" Yes, the constant replays may get annoying - but they end up getting easier each time - on a recent playthrough, it took 1 day to get all the skills Nini learned back
Engage was definitely a great game. The story however felt a bit cringe but the overall game was great and I did like most of the characters there I just played and finished Blue Reflection a few weeks ago and while I enjoyed the game it felt too easy, you automatically gain back your HP and MP after a fight and so all I did was power up Lime like crazy and destroy everything. I had the game on Steam for about a year but never had the chance to play it until recently as I just got a brand new PC to replace my old laptop and it was well worth the wait to now play all the games I bought. I will play Second Light soon but I wanna wait as I am starting The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles now Atelier Ryza 3 was just amazing, it was a great conclusion to the series and I was excited we finally get Bos to be playable. I'm looking forward to play the Dusk & Arland series soon. Atelier Marie was very fun and I loved the chibi artstyle for the game, it felt refreshing as it is a very short game. I also beat it in 10 hrs and I managed to do alot in those 10 hrs like fighting the big bosses in the outside world, the superiors at the top of tower, and getting to level 50 with the Philosopher Stone made. Astral Chain was definitely a great game, I really enjoyed the opening theme, game cutscenes, the gameplay, and customizations. I really hope to see a sequel and that it continues on to be a Nintendo IP. I never got into the Trails games but I know a friend who wants me to play them, especially Trails of Cold Steel. If I had some money I would absolutely buy and play the Xenosaga games. I am however playing Digital Devil Saga for the first time and it was a great deal I got on Amazon.
Stories 2 is one of the few games I spent more time postgame then on the story itself. It is so fun killing new monsters and getting new drip. Except Molten Tigrex. That monster is bs and I don't wish fighting it on my worst enemy.
@@adelin081 I mean it is the same type of game with different combat and an actual story. and also 5 different types of Palamutes that cover all types like eeveelutions in pokemon. And you can fly on certain monsters while exploring.
Is it bad that I actually enjoyed engages story? While it's true it's not as good as previous fire emblem stories, but I thought it was pretty fun, and the emotional moments did get to me at times
there's a difference between enjoying/liking something and arguing it's genuinely good. personal enjoyment is almost entirely separate from quality itself. I love class of heroes 2 for the PSP but you won't catch me saying it's anything more than a 5/10.
@@AlexanderMartinez-kd7cz I wasn't trying to argue that it was good, like you said this comment was about my personal enjoyment of it which, like you said, is different, hell I straight up said it wasn't that good compared to past stories in the franchise
Playing LOOP8 right now. I really like the vibes but god this game gets really aggressively boring. I can't even call it a good VN-style game because the new dialogues are buried beneath gibberish. I'm not someone who normally complains about poor gameplay, but this game barely has any. It's really jarring that they thought it was okay to release such a game. I personally don't mind playing through it but I can totally understand why it's the lowest rated "JRPG" in recent history.
l played Loop8 and beat it 3x.. it had potential to be something special but yea unfortunately the game wont appeal to many people hell even the few people like me who actually put in 30 hrs into it cant defend some of the bad design choices.. id highly recommend Eternights though.. its a fast fluid action game with interesting dating mechanics.. love that indie game & what i kinda hoped loop8 would be tbh..
Loop8 Bonding was a lie, didn't help at all in fight and if they turn bad, then it didn't make weaker If they died, even if they weren't possessed, they are gone, I went for the Ara Ara camper and defender of justice, (refuse to battle with me even with max bonding 😂) cuz they didn't feel like it l It became a chore to do and training was a waste, Even shadow the hedgehog, had 3 different routes and those lead to various ending And it wasn't a dating sim 😂 This has me worry for eternights ;D for the ps4 that has a similar idea, i hope it not as bad I died 12 times, each attempts from the last one didn't help me for the loop ;D
Fire emblem path of radiance is a must play using emulators. Modern FE just dont hold a candle to the gba and gc games. But path of radiance is way to expensive haha
I'm unsure about something, So you didn't like loop 8? XD It's such a shame it's as bad as it is, I was really stung by it too, it had so much potential!!!
playing 3 games from this : blue reflection, fire emblem engage and xenosaga xenosaga is great game, that however you need to play all 3 games. if counting for only the first game, the story is all over the place fire emblem engage : yes, as you mentioned it has great gameplay but horrible story. like if you play this game because you came after playing three house, you will be disappointed. the story is literal good guy defeat evil guy just because he is evil, and even if this game supposed to be some sort anniversary game, it also failed for giving its older fans some sort of fan service, trivia, etc. blue reflection : I played this game just because it has magical girl in it, but goddamn, the music, the music is what keeps me going on for this game. granted the combat is easy, the event dialogue is way to barebone. but like i said the music is 10/10, like not what you expect of this specific game, but in the end all of them all banger. which led to me hating on blue reflection second light, while it improves the gameplay, the event dialogue, the music while still good, it's just not quite enough like this one
Loop8? More like POOP8 am I right?.... please someone laugh I am lonely Joking aside, HOW!? HOW DID THEY SCREW UP SO MUCH with that game? Oh well, at least they did not screw up with Trinity Trigger (same pubblisher i believe) that one seems good from what I have heard, Still need to get it though
two thoughts on Astral Chain 1. the graphics are too much for the Switch. The low res and framerate makes it difficult to look at at times, would've been amazing on PC/PS4. 2. Scarlet Nexus had basically the same story but done much better
Oh christ you can't control your companions in loop 8. That was one of the main reasons i never played persona 3. Something i hope is changed in reload coming in febuary.
Fire emblem support dialogues stopped being interesting a long time ago They were hard to optain it but it build the characters so much And showed us the sides of characters even when they were absent in the story
My god, I got exhausted just hearing you talk about Loop 8. I can imagine the suffering you endured to finish it. Hats off to you, you saved me $$
Thanks for playing Loop8 for us TKN, I couldn't stand it
It looks like a copy of the anime summer time rendering.

It's mainly because people think every anime life-sim JRPG needs to be like Persona nowadays
@@fierytigergaming8112 ya I agree this is very different but I believe the pay off is great at the end
@@MrZenpai You can say that again (Ended up taking a break when Beni ended up enraging the boss to the point that it was able to one-shot Ichika)
👏 Thanks for the video! Super helpful for someone trying to decide their next RPG adventure. 🎮
6:28 "You cannot mix them" "Either you stick to a sunday morning cartoon premise, or you go full on Berserk"
I'd say recent fantasy works like The Dragon Prince nailed that balance right (and it's more on the serious side of the spectrum than Avatar: The Last Airbender which already had a nice balance).
Loop 8 could have been a beautiful game, but what a disappointment was...
I have some suspicion with loop 8 quality when I saw those "intentional" framerate mess.
Realy digging Blue Reflections UI
Thanks for saving my time on skipping Loop8 ❤ And I really wanna try MH stories 2, even though I didn’t play the first one
Thank you for your honest reviews! 👌
what bothered me the most in FE:Engage was the fact that the enemies' level scaled to your average character level, which means you have no chance to alternate characters since neglected ones are way underleveled
@@ordinaryhuman5645 I’ve already downloaded the first 2. I’ll stream them to the tv
couldn't find any giveaways happening on the promoted game
Loop8 sounded really interesting, but man, did it come out bad. VERY glad I didn't buy it before hearing reviews for it because I was really looking forward to it and would've been massively upset if I had bought it. Kinda how I felt with Final Fantasy XV, the game that single handedly killed any faith I had in Square Enix.
i see Blue Reflection, auto like 👍
Nice video, 2 rpgs I have to check out but I will say Astral Chain is awesome to an extent, I hate the detective part lol but the action is great. There is only 5 legions wish it had more & leveling them all up with the 1 rare chip pisses me off lol still i'd want a part 2. Reminds me of Chaos Legion for ps2 that game was crazy.
I like those kind of videos 😁
Atelier Marie done in only 10hours?
i know that the trails series are interconnected, and if you want full experience you should try to play all.
But should I also play the other legends of heroes games (that are not trails. like dragon slayer and gagharv)? Is it like final fantasy that have their games be their own subcategory but has references of the overall series through crystals and summons and shit?
plot twist, Loop 8 is just another take on Haruhi's Endless 8
if you get my meaning
wow u mentioned astral chain. it probably the one game in switch that i really like to play.
Wow that smithy has been since Marie how is he in arland series lol
I knew nothing about Loop8, saw it and thought it looked kinda like Persona. I like Persona, so I wishlisted it. I'm taking it off my wishlist now. I'm glad I didn't waste my money.
i found blue reflection to be pretty underwhelming with one exception... goddamn that battle theme is so good
Liked and subscribed!
Damn, it's really that bad? Was actually looking forward to loop8, especially because I love that small japanese town setting. But okay...thanks for letting us know.
You mentioned a new game from gust “rez” something, had trouble making out name though, what is it called ?
Thank you
Loop8 is literally just Summer Time Rendering with Persona's social links pushed to its absolute extremes
this loop8 game intrigues me greatly , i've seen many reviews which are mostly negative , but im still wondering if - as like you - i should try it myself to see if there is something great that others are missing here.....
Where is part one?
FE Engage spoilers!
I feel like Alear and Lumera's relationship would have been so much better if Lumera joined as a playable unit after chapter 3 and later died at chapter 10. It would have made the penultimate chapter even better
I see where you're coming from - doesn't elaborate on how to save the victims, 98% of conversations were generic and often has erratic AI behaviour, but Loop 8 as a whole was decent. The emotions system added a new sense of challenge to it, because it gave you a sense of "Will this interaction work, or will it screw everything up?" Yes, the constant replays may get annoying - but they end up getting easier each time - on a recent playthrough, it took 1 day to get all the skills Nini learned back
Im sorry but how did you get FE engage running in HD and 60 fps?
Your description of the gameplay loop of Loop 8 gives serious rogue-like vibes... but a boring and slow type of rogue-like.
How many rpgs do you guys play at a time? Im trying to keep it under 4 or else ill never beat any of them, even sometimes I think 4 is too much lol.
Eyy~~ Wandering Sword
Engage was definitely a great game. The story however felt a bit cringe but the overall game was great and I did like most of the characters there
I just played and finished Blue Reflection a few weeks ago and while I enjoyed the game it felt too easy, you automatically gain back your HP and MP after a fight and so all I did was power up Lime like crazy and destroy everything. I had the game on Steam for about a year but never had the chance to play it until recently as I just got a brand new PC to replace my old laptop and it was well worth the wait to now play all the games I bought. I will play Second Light soon but I wanna wait as I am starting The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles now
Atelier Ryza 3 was just amazing, it was a great conclusion to the series and I was excited we finally get Bos to be playable.
Huh. Sounds the same as regular monster hunter. I didn't play stories 2 yet, but It's on my wishlist.
Astral Chain is just a very aesthetic looking game, its a shame its forever stuck on Switch
"with the ATB approach"
*AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH*
Playing LOOP8 right now. I really like the vibes but god this game gets really aggressively boring. I can't even call it a good VN-style game because the new dialogues are buried beneath gibberish. I'm not someone who normally complains about poor gameplay, but this game barely has any. It's really jarring that they thought it was okay to release such a game. I personally don't mind playing through it but I can totally understand why it's the lowest rated "JRPG" in recent history.
For fire emblem how did you get it to run so smoothly?
This guy for sure has a "Top 10 Adult-Anime" list posted somewhere.
Jealous?
I knew Loop 8 would be disappointing as soon as I saw the Koikatsu models. Still not as disappointing as the fact that I recognised them though,
l played Loop8 and beat it 3x.. it had potential to be something special but yea unfortunately the game wont appeal to many people hell even the few people like me who actually put in 30 hrs into it cant defend some of the bad design choices.. id highly recommend Eternights though.. its a fast fluid action game with interesting dating mechanics.. love that indie game & what i kinda hoped loop8 would be tbh..
Loop8
Bonding was a lie, didn't help at all in fight and if they turn bad, then it didn't make weaker
If they died, even if they weren't possessed, they are gone,
I went for the Ara Ara camper and defender of justice, (refuse to battle with me even with max bonding 😂) cuz they didn't feel like it l
It became a chore to do and training was a waste,
Even shadow the hedgehog, had 3 different routes and those lead to various ending
And it wasn't a dating sim 😂
This has me worry for eternights ;D for the ps4 that has a similar idea, i hope it not as bad
I died 12 times, each attempts from the last one didn't help me for the loop ;D
Calling Astral Chain an RPG is a Dhalsim level stretch.
Spite completions are the best kind. "I'm seeing every bit of garbage you have on offer, game!"
No Casette Beasts?
Didn't Platinum Games say that they want to make Astral Chain a trilogy?
Like I say with anime I also say for games let the people decide don't tell them not to they might like what other dont
playing 3 games from this : blue reflection, fire emblem engage and xenosaga
xenosaga is great game, that however you need to play all 3 games. if counting for only the first game, the story is all over the place
fire emblem engage : yes, as you mentioned it has great gameplay but horrible story. like if you play this game because you came after playing three house, you will be disappointed. the story is literal good guy defeat evil guy just because he is evil, and even if this game supposed to be some sort anniversary game, it also failed for giving its older fans some sort of fan service, trivia, etc.
blue reflection : I played this game just because it has magical girl in it, but goddamn, the music, the music is what keeps me going on for this game. granted the combat is easy, the event dialogue is way to barebone. but like i said the music is 10/10, like not what you expect of this specific game, but in the end all of them all banger. which led to me hating on blue reflection second light, while it improves the gameplay, the event dialogue, the music while still good, it's just not quite enough like this one
Im surprised you haven't played FF XVI
not a jrpg
Loop8? More like POOP8 am I right?.... please someone laugh I am lonely
Joking aside, HOW!? HOW DID THEY SCREW UP SO MUCH with that game?
Oh well, at least they did not screw up with Trinity Trigger (same pubblisher i believe) that one seems good from what I have heard, Still need to get it though
two thoughts on Astral Chain
1. the graphics are too much for the Switch. The low res and framerate makes it difficult to look at at times, would've been amazing on PC/PS4.
2. Scarlet Nexus had basically the same story but done much better
Absolutely. Id even say the story and characters were ass since the beginning.
Oh christ you can't control your companions in loop 8. That was one of the main reasons i never played persona 3. Something i hope is changed in reload coming in febuary.
Fire emblem support dialogues
stopped being interesting a long time ago
They were hard to optain it but it build the characters so much
And showed us the sides of characters even when they were absent in the story
