I was outside with my dog and heard a kitten crying, sure enough my dog spotted her and when I went to bring my dog inside to assess the situation(I didn’t know if she was sick, hurt etc.) she poked her little head around the corner, almost like saying “no wait don’t leave me?!” She came right to me when I went back outside. She’s been in my house ever since, I like to joke saying I got my dog a cat cause they became best friends immediately. ❤️💯🏠🐾🐾
All animals deserve love and a home I used to be scared of cats when I was a lot younger but that changed very quickly when I met my friends cats and i realized how ignorant it was to be scared of them when I’ve never met one lol. Animals are amazing and we need to love them as much as possible

My childhood tomcat was clever, too. Mom and I wanted to keep him but not dad. And guess who that sweetie was around all the time, purring and showing love to? My dad, if course. He watched him shave every morning, was by his side as much as possible - until my dad gave in. 😁 Cats are clever like that. He never stopped watching my dad shave but gave his attention to everyone equally after my dad stopped holding back and started giving the cat affection. I love dogs but cats will always have a very special place in my heart.

Congratulations to Jennifer and Mila in bringing Mika home! Cats really are the best. I wasn’t a cat person either but now me and my 16 year old miniature dachshund rescue Megsy have two of them. We are always dog people, Almost three years ago my Daughter adopted cat she named her Paloma. In the beginning she used to hiss or hide from us. Gradually she oped up and since then we started to love her so much. My Daughter got married and moved out we miss Paloma so much. Surprisingly for the first time in my life I did not react allergic thus kept her and called her Pookie 🥰 My father called her a Christmas miracle! It turns out that not every cat produces the Fel D1 Protein (the reason for allergies). I wish you find your feline friend (she changed my life for the better).
I like cats very much, but I was and always will be a dog person. However, I do not know what I would do if I found an injured cat and it seeks my proximity, I would definitely help her. But my dog is very reserved towards cats and would not want to share me with a cat or a dog because he is totally jealous. Animals are wonderful, whether dogs or cats, but my heart beats since childhood for dogs.

My cat Gracie was a Russian Blue. She was with us for 18 beautiful years ❤ They're one of the sweetest breeds. She was a couple years old when my son was born. She was so patient and loving with him especially through his toddler years 😅 He took it really hard when she passed away. You're all very blessed to have found each other.
My dog had a feral cat friend. The cat walked with my dog and my dad for years. When our dog started to get old and had a hard time seeing, the cat walked right next to him and helped guide my sweet dog. After my dog died, the cat and my dad started going on walks on the same route everyday The cat lived 10 more years being an almost inside cat in our home. She passed away very loved and we never forgot her kindness to our beloved dog. We don't know exactly how old she was, but was in our lives for 18 years.
That's awesome, I just rescued a couple cats myself last year and I've never been a cat lover til now. Now I feed two outside and have 2 inside with my dog ❤

Mika was so very lonely until she found you both! It's wonderful you took her into your home and heart, even though it was unexpected. This is a critical time now for animal shelters since they're overflowing and have to euthanize otherwise healthy animals unless people open up their homes and hearts. Shelter pets provide much luv & companionship in return beyond belief. You'll not only enrich your life but you'll be saving another

I think u are right. Each time during the walk when Mila looked up to her mum, she was basically saying "can we all go home now, together?"
