I really enjoyed this track. JT is sounding excellent and Jesse's cleans are always a highlight. The chorus is definitely my favourite part of the song too! I was slightly underwhelmed by the breakdown but apart from that there's nothing else I would want different about the song. Already looking forward to new material!!
Great point about consistency, it is absolutely key, ERRA has it. Ive been a fan for years now and there just isn't a drop off for me. Only a slight change in stylistic choices they use to continue evolving. But always undeniably ERRA!
Not sure if anyone feels this, but ERRA are the Masters of Creating Songs that have and hold their own Identities, Like GunGrave, Snowblood or Vanish Canvas, they all have their own sound , within the overall ERRA sound, just brilliant! Cannot wait for More! Love you ERRA ❤🤘🏼
Love the chorus, Jesse’s vocal production is a little odd though, doesn’t sound fully natural. Really wish JT would put more variation in his vocal rhythms. Sometimes feels like he’s fighting what the instruments are doing and at times it could definitely flow better, imo of course.
I was so hyped, just to be let down by what they did to Jesse's vocals. Sad because everything else sounds so great. I'm now worried for the new album...
@@RachelleReacts it has the be the effect/mix. It's almost strained sounding and robotic. Or maybe like if it was being heard from underwater. Nothing like any of their previous work, nor Ghost Atlas. Not crisp or clear at all to me. And everyone was so happy to see Nolly was involved, but idk. This was like a great meal that someone oversalted and ruined.
@@xBlade173This mix reminded me of Color Decay's mix. I feel like I would have loved that album if it weren't for those overproduced cleans (and Mike's monotonous screaming but that's rather just my problem). That washed vocal mix especially stands out at "s"-sounds and when they're breathing in, and it's pretty annoying to me personally. Or when it comes to this song - just less enjoyable. I love ERRA though and am convinced that they have plenty bangers in store.
It's a really good good song but I have to agree on Jessie's vocal production, it's too under the mix for some reason.. you can't hear him clearly..dunno for some reason it's too robotic or overproduced..comparing to the screams.
With this song I feel like Erra missed some key moments to add some melodic riffs. The breakdown also sounded rudimentary. I'll always be a fan of Erra, but this one was sort of a miss for me. Didn't have the layered complexity and melodic runs I always look for with them. Chorus and cleans are always great with them.
Oh yeah, I mean when Erra releases something new I'm always on it. It's a good day when they put out a new single or announce their next project. Hopefully their next album has some interesting new sounds. I feel like bands tend to become more formulaic as they reach further audiences. It feels like the safe route for them, or maybe the studio doesn't want too much experimentation. Not 100% sure, but definitely will stay tuned in. As I Lay Dying for example, suffered from following the same template on nearly every track.
understandable! i would be shocked if ERRA put out a full release that didn’t have some spice in it. it’s just one song. i think a track doesn’t need to be crazy complex to be good, but i can understand the desire for that given how insanely high they’ve set the bar. very valid comments i’ve seen about parts of it sounding overproduced and there’s certainly no Gungrave riff but i don’t need every track to be insane
@@RachelleReacts Yeah that's fair. People really do anticipate Erra to put out bangers since we don't get singles very often from them. It's a waiting game between albums to catch something new and spicy. Born of Osiris's new single also sounded pretty mid to me. The only new experimental sounds I've heard are from Earthside's newest single featuring Daniel Tompkins from Tesseract. It's more proggy if you're interested in copping a listen.
it’s been nice because we got s/t 2021, deluxe last year plus Pull From the Ghost and now we’re onto this! definitely the most ERRA we’ve been treated with. i replied to a comment earlier talking about how i recorded a video today i’ll be posting of a track i wasn’t super stoked on, it was Born of Osiris. that one for me didn’t really do much either! i’ll need to check out that track with the Daniel feature, it’s the second or third time i’ve heard about it
Super let down, personally. Their sound feels castrated. From 1:05-1:15 you get literally the same note on repeat. FOR 10 SECONDS. The short breakdown after that is just zero’s. The drums are the stand out feature but that chorus is so bad in a daughtry meets attack attack way. Go back and listen to Snowblood and tell me which of the two songs is the better album cycle premiere. The difference is JARRING. Lazy musicianship, sterile bell and whistle production. Just no. NO NO NO. Please speak out and give honest feedback. I don’t want this happening to Erra.
this is my honest feedback. not everything is going to be for everyone, but if you have feedback to give them you surely can. i have a video i filmed today for a song that didn’t wow me, i will still post it. i think it’s fine to have different opinions and not enjoy stuff, but you can’t push your opinion onto other people implying theirs has to be the same.
I have to agree with you. This song was pretty mid compared to the sound of prior Erra. As time goes on, they start to sound more formulaic. No cool spine chilling melodic riffs or aggressive breakdowns. Kind of basic.
I am now fully convinced that ERRA CANNOT make a bad song!!! This is OUTSTANDING!!!!!
BEST BAND BEST BAND BEST BAND
Nope not a chance
@@matriphagy1318 just because I love a band you don’t and show excitement for it doesn’t mean you have to go shit on other peoples excitement. Thanks
If you love a band, great! BEST might be a little strong
Very refreshing to see a reaction video that isn't 30 seconds longer than the song. appreciate all of the insight and additional input.
thank you!! 💙
Erra smashing it again
It’s such a powerful chorus with the riff and Jesse’s vocals
My head has known this band for a long time, I love ERRA❤
Once this hits Spotify I’ll have it on repeat way too much. Next album is gonna be amazing.
Band just brings me happiness
Never do I dislike an ERRA song. Holy they are tight. Banger! And fast af reaction! \m/

Erra's songs always take me on a mental journey!
This song gives me so many Neon and Drift vibes. Brings me back to some really good memories from when I found them in 2021.
Great reaction and analysis! Erra's been my favorite band for a while now and this song didnt dissappint, so hyped to see them live in September
Love that you listen to the whole song instead of pausing it every 30 sec to give a review. Thank YOU 🤙🏼🤙🏼
thank you!! I can't listen that way, at first people kinda gave me shit about it but I'm glad it's stuck!
@@RachelleReacts keep doing your reviews the same way. It’s solid..ERRA FTW
Every song they drop is a banger I vibe with it heavy
Pale Iris was legit on repeat all day at work🎉🎉🎉
Ohh yeah a Band i like its not in the top 5 but in the top 20 white noise is my favourite Song!!!
Need you back doing your reactions!!!!
Alex chopping it up from the jump, Jesse’s riff during the chorus, JT…. Just doing what JT does best!!!!
The hype is real and our boys are back!!!

Its definitely one of their best songs imo and im a impulse man.
If you're an "Impulse man" and this is your favorite song of theirs, you are not really an "Impulse man." 😂
@@GOD999MODE or you don't like how their style is changing and that's on you. As far as I know JT sounds way better than Garrison in this song imo
@@vagrantender He sounds maybe sonically better and more precise, but Impulse was raw. It had that hardness.
That's a good one! Already in my head. Now I need to go find the pizza story!
Reminds me of Texas in July with the screams really good cleans never heard of this band great stuff
their screamer is JT from TiJ so it makes sense! they have a phenomenal discography
