    Pretty good vid tossing up between the pro kit after new paint or just go black raptor coat because my red 80 is due for a new paint job thinking about doing this ay looks mint

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely does look the goods, just beware of putting it on brand new paint, I think they say to wait a month or so after new paint.... if going over older paint I thinknit even makes that look nicer too ;)

    Great to see the how much protection the wrap provided. Did the wrap look that it needed replacing? Would it be realistic to expect getting 2 years or more before needing to replace the wrap if youre regularly driving gravel outback roads?

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It did do an amazing job, the wrap still looked great.. some spot that had lifted in the corner looked a bit shabby, but I just trimmed them off with a stanely knife and reheated the edge and it was good to go. I got 18 months out of a 12 month product, but they do a 5 and 10 year one now 👌👌

    Looks good but how can one repair the plastic trim around the side windows? Also bulbar take a hiding I imagine?

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @V8LC100 bulbar did cop a hiding but that cleaned up easier, black trims not so much... but u can get plastic trim restorer to sort that out. Wa mainly for scratches that would go to bare metal and look shocking 😲

    In the video it looks like once it's removed you can see outline of where the film was. Not sure if it was just dirt..? Did you find the paint faded where it wasn't covered?

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate, a lot of it was dirt but a bit was some superficial scratches that just came out with a bit of a polish, nothing too stressful like doing the whole car :(

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Cheers mate, at the time I put this one there was only 1 option.... but it is the one that is meant to only last 12-18 months so I think it is the cheaper one now as they have have a 5 yr and a 10 yr I think 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ either way, works a treat that's for sure 💪💪

    Hey mate really enjoyed this video, been looking for something like this. I’m a little curious I thought the bushwrapz were self healing? Why are the bush stripes showing?
    Cheers 🍻

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @logoss6762 cheers mate, they are self healing if u pour hot water on them or let them sit in the sun for a while (heat brings them back to life) some of the scratches that made it through were fairly severe so I don't think anything could protect it 😉 😀 obviously the black trims up the door are subject to scratching but I figure they are easier to fix than a paint job 🙄🙄

    Hey mate what was the reason for taking it off?

    • @DucruznOZ
      @DucruznOZ  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have finished doing our lap and aren't really going to be doing bush scrub tracks for a while..... also it was only meant to be on for 12-18 months as it was the entry level wrap that they offered and was on for almost 2 years 🤣🤣

      @@ggbogo935 yes most probably, but at the time this was the best and most cost effective option, plus living remotely having a DIY kit that could be delivered directly ticked all the boxes 👌👌
