I do this drill with my team of 10, 11 & 12 year old girls, after a month of doing this once a week in practice, we've been able to get up to 92 passes in a minute. Great drill.
are you turning ball over less in games? hard to improve passing without defense. im sure you feel good about your kids executing this drill. But are you turning the ball over less in games?
@@coachzbasketball Yes, we are turning the ball over much less, it improves several facets of my players' game, not only passing. I've seen several colleges run this drill, not only the aforementioned Houston. Teams at all levels run drills with and without defense. That goes all the way up to the pros. It isn't the only type of passing drill we run. At the end of the day continue to do what you feel is best for your teams. If that means passing drills with d are the only things that matter, then do you what you feel is right.
YES! Lets not get in the habit of passing on the inside of our body, those will become pick 6 turnovers. Also don't want to have happy feet and travel rather than make a good strong reverse pivot. I would emphasize a great Nail L cut, a good outside hand target, Strong pivot and then a crisp outside pass to the outside hand of my teammate on the wing. Maybe knock the goal down to 75, and the pass doesn't count it its an inside pass, or a travel etc..

I love this one. Its simple, quick, and functional.
Good drill, thank you
After 2 series I'd add a random give and go , it starts when I say "Go" and the middle has just received the ball
Nice drills for passing and speed moving
Very functioinal
Love the ending:)
Thanks for this!
Thanks for sharing
A definite plus to this drill is it emphasis passing with force, no float passes or underhand tosses...takes too long.
Excelente
On don’t like how they not on balance just turning and passing..I like the concept though..
Like the drill but I would lower the number of passes made and focus on footwork as well.
Good point. sometimes technique and fundamentals get lost when trying to speed things up!

The drill is good, but the quantity of passes(82) in a minute is not posible.
We have gotten over 100 running this.
All bad passes though.
😭
My reasoning is that you’re teaching a physical habit of making a blind pass while also having an off balance chest pass. Am I wrong?
