I had the same slowburn with oikawa too. He just seemed so smug and arrogant but once I knew why he does what he does and how hard he actually worked, it changed the way I viewed him. It makes me wonder if he went to shiritoizawa, would he be on the bench just like the pinch server/second setter there? Because that setter had something to prove while the starting setter didn’t care to prove anything. Oikawa’s story really is a beautiful one.
The whole messing up part they do during the training camps reminded me of a philosophy my gym teacher/coach in middleschool lived by (went to a athlete/sports middelschool) and he reminded us of it like, 4-5 times every month. - If you fail. But you're failing while using the right technique and failing at doing the right thing. Then NOBODY. Nobody has the RIGHT to be mad at you. Because one mistake at doing the right thing is one step closer to succeeding. Note: He would obvioulsy chew us out and correct us when we did something wrong. But when we made those "correct" mistakes he would just give us a pat on the back and say "one more".
Okay time to out myself. I usually stop watching reactions after season 2. This time I stuck around to the end of season 3 with vague plans to continue eventually. It’s just… I get attached to characters. And after my bby Oizawas defeat… :(((
@@TimothyGod I have watched season 4! I liked it even. I just kinda don’t like rewatching it, season 2 is def where the show peaks for me. I’m lot saying the later seasons are bad AT ALL, objectively there’s amazing moments later! Ones that I loved! I just kinda loose interest in rewatching it once I know Oizawa takes a backseat
