The whole process can be completed within a calendar year. However due to delays in documents processing, it can take up to 3 years. So I'll say 1 to 3 years on the average.

Interns in UK are not overworked like SA interns, they get way more just a basic salary without overtimes. And when they do them over times are simited and theh get a lot more money, yes rent is expensive especially in cities such as London

Am from tanzania did MD from Tanzanian university that is ECFMG recognized licensed so am I required ti take the HPCSA exams to get registered ?? Thanks
The exam is pretty straightforward.. The ethics can be tricky so it needs to be well studied and understood. Otherwise it similar to year 6 exit examination. So if you passed med school then you'll likely find it easy.

However on the CMSA's website there is a long list of exams for so many specialties. So for a UK based doctor who wants to be licensed to work as a medical officer in South Africa as well which of these exams would you write? Many thanks 👍

So if you already have citizenship you just have to apply to write the board exam with CMSA then after passing for internship.

Yes, so the exam is by Colleges of medicine SA (cmsa) you get registered by hpcsa after passing
