Used to be an Odyssey pilot years ago (had the pitch bender rather than the pads, so a black Mark 1, 1975 I think) and this baby is knocking my socks off. It's a real Odyssey with a bunch of amazing extras: polyphony, effects, that brilliant programmable arpeggiator, assignable velocity - amp or fillter but not both). Korg has outdone itself. Glad you're on the mend. Nice to see ya. I've been nursing a crummy crud going around here for over a week. Be well, Doug.
Oh wow, I think this is going to be one of the most popular synths on iOS now, the quality is just brilliant. Glad to see another great video from you Doug, was getting concerned that you hadn't uploaded in a while
Cool synth. But I have about 100 subtractive analog synths in both hardware, on my Mac, and on the iPad. I have reached the threshold - now I must produce.
As always Doug, you are a legend my friend! Korg should add you to their payroll man, so many folks have bought the app due to your amazing video reviews. Thank you for a job well done and hoping for continued health. Brilliant synth in every sense of the word.
I never did like ARP's too much back in the day, and easily chose the Minimoog over the Arp Odyssey as my first ever synthesizer, but the polyphonic nature of this app turns the Odyssey into a whole new ball game I'm really diggin! Nice review as always Doug.
So impressed by this new Synth. Man it sounds better than when I played the real thing lolol a lot less unit noise lolol. and so damn clean. Take care of your health Doug. remember we are out there for you Mate!
I bought it because I wanted an ARP for my collection. This is kind of old and not AUV3. But it is IAA. And it has some latency and no buffer settings. Open it up in AUM and the latency disappears however.
I got the red Ferrari version and Iam super happy with it. 4GB would be nice, but so far I didn't ran out of RAM. I also can just play more synth heavy stuff on my Fantom G7 and play Organ on my Roland VR-730. And the iPad i have also connected to my MPC and it adds a ton of synths like KORG Gadget and Module, Odyssey, Synrizer etc.
Dougie demos ALL the good keyboard apps (that are worth their salt). He goes through enough voices and options for you to make a decision. The best part is that he can play amazingly well. I always check in with his videos. Jordan Rudess does a few as well since he’s got his own company. Does anyone know other good keyboardists that do iOS apps? I didn’t think so....
Hey Doug. Not sure if you get notifications on these old videos but is there an equivalent AUV3 ap that would substitute for this? I wish Korg would get their apps updated.
I'm saving hard for a Alessis electric Crimson kit. And was also waiting. Doug, you are more reliable than Swiss trains. Thank you. My iPad Air is so full it now won't let me mix down larger tracks in CB2. So I need a new iPad...do I go for the 12.7" Pro? Is the screen suitable for all my apps? Do I ask too many questions? I'm sold on this...it didn't say if it was AB compatible or IAA either in the description.
its sounds cool im just not sure if for the price it sounds any better than the virsyn Tera app that i aready own or the iSEM app . Not quite sure , oh well.
so how about syncing ? will the seq/arp and lfo s sync to midi clock from a DAW like ableton? I miss this on the ims20 and ipolysix. such a shame it is not implemented. Hope this one syncs to midi clock or link....could someone confirm?
_Love_ the sound of it (thanks for the demo, Doug!), so I just bought it. But for the life of me, I can't get it to show up in Cubasis! Its AppStore blurb says Inter App Audio, but it seems invisible to Cubasis. Anybody figure this out?? Thanks in advance.
Wow, what is your controller? A keyboard with Bluetooth? And, what are all those page 2 features? Above everything else, I would like to know. Can it be configured to link up with the hardware version and provide patch memory for it?
Samuel Gordon I just had a listen, that's just something I made up, that's how I do all the videos, I just improvise, I can't really play anything by anyone one else because of copyright issues, but it does sound a bit Genesis like or Vangelis so it's very possible it's very similar to something else.
I am looking for an arpeggio kinda similar to what is used halfway through the song (2:10) of Queen’s: I want it all. I just can’t figure it out. Anyone any idea? Want to get myself this app anyway and it would be fantastic if I can reproduce it with this.
Hi Doug, thanks for your reviews. I would like to know that, like Moog digi synths, can Pprophet and ARP Odyssei also be connected to the keyboard and played directly from that ? Keep up the good work .. :)
One more thing which I would like to have your insight on. I am using Cubase LE on my PC. Can we use these apps to make music on LE through PC ? Thanks
Brian Rhodes One of my all time favourite moments is when the boys get Alexi round to do a deal on the bomb that's landed in the kitchen, one of the things he says is "Ooh nah, not in that colour" then goes on to tell them he can do a part- ex on a Robin Reliant and say s something like "Robin Reliant, isn't that a three wheeler" and with perfect comic timing Alexi replies "Normally yeah"....genius
Hi Korg, 👆🏼👆🏼 Above said is 👆🏼👆🏼: I like KORG's "Nori" to the highest. Please make gadget all the applications of i os ever issued! Also, it is not an extended sound source of the module, and it is an application together with TRITON and TRINITY like M1! I TRITON I'm expecting. I os soft synth is only virtual analog. PCM synth is still a must-have tool in making a song.
Absolutely great app of a fantastic synthesizer. But BEWARE: They couldn't find it in their hearts to let it work on an iPad 4. Not compatible. Looks like iPad 5 or higher only.
Did you make up all those riffs yourself? Or did someone record and you learned the riffs? Please name the songs in order for me to listen to the entire songs. Big thanks
Sounds great. I'd still like to get a real one. A desktop Korg Odyssey would be nice. Maybe when my lotto balls drop!! Until then think I'm going to have to get this App. Very cool ;-)
Anyone else having issues with how fiddly the controls are? I'm using this on iPad Pro 9.7 almost impossible to consistently get the sliders to move or set them with any precision. Maybe I need a stylus.

It is so good to see and hear a new demo from Doug!!! Oh and the app is brilliant too.
Oh wow, I think this is going to be one of the most popular synths on iOS now, the quality is just brilliant. Glad to see another great video from you Doug, was getting concerned that you hadn't uploaded in a while

Hi Doug, missing your app reviews. You're in my prayers. Love you man
As always Doug, you are a legend my friend! Korg should add you to their payroll man, so many folks have bought the app due to your amazing video reviews. Thank you for a job well done and hoping for continued health.
Brilliant synth in every sense of the word.
Nice to see you again. Hope you feel better soon.
I never did like ARP's too much back in the day, and easily chose the Minimoog over the Arp Odyssey as my first ever synthesizer, but the polyphonic nature of this app turns the Odyssey into a whole new ball game I'm really diggin! Nice review as always Doug.
Was waiting for this all yesterday. Thanks for the upload gents!
What? Odyssei for an iPad/iPhone for a mere 20€? That's like a dream come true. Bought!
This thing sounds f'n GREAT! I only wish it had a modulation matrix.
Wow, sounds incredible
Yeah, it’s a great synth
Some super lead sounds in there… cool.
I wish I could do all that with my mechanical one!
So impressed by this new Synth. Man it sounds better than when I played the real thing lolol a lot less unit noise lolol. and so damn clean. Take care of your health Doug. remember we are out there for you Mate!
Incredible sound just incredible

I have Korg's Polysix for the iPad. This just blows the Polysix away. I don't really NEED another iPad synth, but i'm tempted to get this anyway.
The ultimate arp album is psi fi from Seventh Wave. Seek it out and enjoy the Arp effects and lead tones. Wonderful. 🔊💨💨💨💨👌🏽
OMG I SO WANT THESE
Thanks. The demo Korg made for it made me NOT want to buy it but what you have shown, it sounds really good.
That make no sense whatsoever

Thank you very much for all your videos! Sounds great!
As far as I know, you use the in-app code the same way you used the main app code and than in the app you just hit the "restore purchases"
one purchase code is entered it adds that app to purchase list of your account
sometimes it auto-loads, other times a restore or reboot is needed
Excellent demo.
This is AWESOME!! Thank you so much for the demo!
I hope you get well bro very good vid thanks
Imagine this on the new Logic Pro, if Korg ever got around to programming AUv3. (Maybe a clumsy GarageBand work through?)
Hey Doug. Not sure if you get notifications on these old videos but is there an equivalent AUV3 ap that would substitute for this? I wish Korg would get their apps updated.
Hi Bryant, as far as I know there is no clone of the Odyssey on iOS yet, but I could be wrong 😊
Great demo, thank you so much! Very nice sounds :)
It sounds great!! Thank you!! 💫

Hey I bought this app and when I use it with GarageBand with iPad every time I click record the keyboard does not pop up on screen any suggestions
Nice demo, keep up the good work
Odyssey for iPad sounds great.

Cool! Can it do that fabulous guitar like Ultravox style. lead
Yup, Sync & Ring Mod - It's pretty near perfect ;)
Yes. I stumbled across Billy Currie's signature sound completely by accident.
Great video man, one feature I want to know if it has before buying though is if it's inter-midi audio compatible. Thanks! :)
wonder if they will make the axxe interface
think about it
Happy xmas to you
Doug is back :) After one month of break. Good to see you back ;)
What are you playing between 1:15 and 1:25...? it listen familliar to me, but i can't get it...
Samuel Gordon I just had a listen, that's just something I made up, that's how I do all the videos, I just improvise, I can't really play anything by anyone one else because of copyright issues, but it does sound a bit Genesis like or Vangelis so it's very possible it's very similar to something else.
Hi
Sounds great. Really Phaaaat too where it counts.
What were you using to trigger it from please?
Jb x
Hi , Hold Funktion bei arpeggiator ?
I am looking for an arpeggio kinda similar to what is used halfway through the song (2:10) of Queen’s: I want it all.
I just can’t figure it out. Anyone any idea? Want to get myself this app anyway and it would be fantastic if I can reproduce it with this.
In App purchase is not working for me as well.
Hi Doug, thanks for your reviews.

Yes they can 👍
One more thing which I would like to have your insight on. I am using Cubase LE on my PC. Can we use these apps to make music on LE through PC ? Thanks
Melody 'N' Light yes you can. But you’ll have to connect your iPad, via a midi interface, and audio to your computer
Super
Is there an easy way to port midi from Ableton to this, and the audio back to ableton? Will this work with something like Studiomux?
Yes, it works. I tried that using Turnado, Field scaper etc.
Can Modstep run external MIDI at this point? I'd love to have it driving this
Thanks Doug, brilliant as always
'Back to the acting' = Alexei Sayle 😂
Brian Rhodes Brilliant, you totally got the Young Ones reference, top job
Love you both right now.
Brian Rhodes One of my all time favourite moments is when the boys get Alexi round to do a deal on the bomb that's landed in the kitchen, one of the things he says is "Ooh nah, not in that colour" then goes on to tell them he can do a part- ex on a Robin Reliant and say s something like "Robin Reliant, isn't that a three wheeler" and with perfect comic timing Alexi replies "Normally yeah"....genius
mmm, Coca-Cola! Symbol of free West!
Sounds even better than the original, mainly due to the polyphony.
Can it be linked to GarageBand? Tried the Korg Module Le earlier, and it can't. :(
You can use it with AudioBus and IAA in GarageBand, Module LE support only some instruments because it's a light version
can you use it inside garage band?
Does it have MIDI? How can you hook up a real keyboard?
Forgive my ignorance but what is Gadget?
Hi Korg, 👆🏼👆🏼 Above said is 👆🏼👆🏼:

Magnoxx can you create Presets?
In the hardware you can't save what you create.
Absolutely great app of a fantastic synthesizer. But BEWARE: They couldn't find it in their hearts to let it work on an iPad 4. Not compatible. Looks like iPad 5 or higher only.
George Sawyn there is no iPad 5.
Sorry, man, I didn't know that; what I meant was it's gotta be higher than a 4.
w0W!!!!
Did you make up all those riffs yourself? Or did someone record and you learned the riffs? Please name the songs in order for me to listen to the entire songs. Big thanks
These are just improvised for the demo, they exist only in the moment of recording the video
The Sound Test Room You're really good. Surely you have compositions on line ? Please share links !
Ah, yes, much better with a stylus. Those sliders are just so tiny.
why do they never develop good synthesizer applications for Android?
would be a hand on the wheel for Android users musicians😂😂
Too much playing around with sounds and no run through o features. Got fed up very quickly
