We spent over 3 hours trying to get our massage chair through a doorway into another room. We watched your video and tried the idea of plugging the chair in and inverting it, and turning it on its side...voila! It finally fit through! Thank you so much!
I just ordered a massage chair that’s coming Saturday. I didn’t take any measurements, I don’t care if it fits or not, I just had to have that chair and one way or another, I will find a way. I got plenty of power tools, saws, and every other tool under the sun. I have a can of crisco grease too, in case it needs a little lube. 😀
JUST got my new Slabway Slab-1 today. Alone today... to be read "no help at this time" (also same age as u when u did this video)... & I am wanting to surprise my Valentine! So, figured I would look up some tips to make it easier. ;-) I already had the exact dolly as ur's & was thinking the same as u! Mono e mono! Wish me luck! & Thx for the Video! Gave me more confidence!
Good question. Stairs make moving difficult. I recommend removing the arm rests first and then use two people to lift from the side of the chair body and move up or down one stair at a time. The reattach the arm rests once the chair is in the desired room. DO NOT lift the ottoman from the front. Doing that will more than likely damage the ottoman, if not break it off altogether from the chair body attachment. I hope this helps. dr. w.
@@chookchack Absolutely, if you are getting a new chair. It might be a little hard out of the box, because of the shape of the chair body. But, it certainly is a good idea to try, especially if your stairwell is quite narrow. dr. w.
Thank you for reassuring me that I can buy one of these and manhandle it to get it into my bedroom 😂 the one I want to buy comes in a box that is 25" wide on one side, if I flip it over, so that seems the easiest idea. I am just afraid of something being loose or becoming unbalanced.
I have to remove my chair to get some flooring installed,, 🥴 and definitely don't want to have to call the installers back out,,, so prayerfully the side method works,,,, thank you sooo much,,,, 💖💖
Our massage chairs weights range from 275 lbs to well over 400 lbs and we use these techniques for every one of them. You must have some kind of heavy chair that is not in the USA to think our chairs are so light. If you are moving your chair through doorways. or up/down stairways, often you will need to remove the arm rests and/or the ottoman, which will lighten the load for you. All the best in your move! dr. w.
I had to totally pull apart my chair to get down a thin hallway then into a lift in a small apartment block. I need to put the tubes back together and I’m having trouble with which ones go with what 🫣

I'm glad this video helped! It's OK to flip boxes on their sides when moving a new chair into your home.

@@massagechairrelief I want to thank you again because I bought a massage chair and have no regrets.
Can't get it out the door
If the tip in the video won't work, you'll have to remove the arm rests to get the chair body through the door. I hope this helps.

I had to totally pull apart my chair to get down a thin hallway then into a lift in a small apartment block.
I need to put the tubes back together and I’m having trouble with which ones go with what 🫣
Have you tried contacting the chair distributor for some guidance in putting it back together again?
