noong sa GMA si jona parang pina bubuga ng buga lng xa pag kumanta yung parang hala ikaw na bahala sa musicality mo keri na yan mka high notes lang... pero nang nasa asap na sya di man xa gaanong pina bebelt pero makikita mo ang galing nya... parang nasa maayos lahat ang pagkanta nya kahit di xa bumibirit... napansin ko lng #JustMyThoughts

@@lifestylezie5897 Magaling ang vocal coach ng GMA. Pansinin mo, andaming magagaling sa GMA kahit pinapabirit ng ilang years, andun pa din boses. Tignan mo si Jonalyn, hindi bumaba ang boses niya. Sa ABSCBN naman sinisira ang boses ng mga singers nila. Si Sarah at Rachelle dumaan sa overused na boses. 2006-2007. Pagod na parang nahihirapan silang kumanta. Pero na agapan ni Rachelle ng maaga nong 2009 dahil sa technique niya. Si Sarah naman 2013 gumamit ng mas healthy na technique. Observation lang. :D

Power Belter si Jona, nung nasa GMA sya, Soprano sya, kaya kelangan mataas ang boses at belted ang lines. Pero may technique na sya nuon pa. Mejo may favouritism sa 2 kaya hindi sya birit kung birit. Hindi sya biglang gumaling dahil lang lumipat sya. Palagay ko nga, mas forced pa syang kumanta ng mga hindi nya genre sa 2.

Di man kaya ni Jona magwhistle at least mapapabilib ka naman pg operatic songs na ang usapan at di naman din kaya ni Mowie un so patas lang. they are both good in singing. but equally great? i beg to disagree. Jona's technique and vocal prowess is so common.
common? you must be confusing yourself with the typical "biriteras" in the Philippines. You know, the ones that audition on Tawag Ng Tanghalan or Barangay festivals. Jona is NOT that type of singer. She isn't a stereotypical one sided singer. Yes she can birit, but it doesn't irritate the ears like the "common" singers your speak of. Also the majority of biriteras cannot do opera or broadway, but Jona can - therefore she isn't as common as your think. peace. Where Mori excels in whistling, Jona excels in operatic and staccato.
Christian Estacio It does not irritate the ears? but honestly I got irritated listening to jona's birit. But you know it is a matter of preference. I prefer Morissette and i am not satisfy with the quality what Jonalyn is giving until now. Even her "opera" thing. "Parang pilit" just to say she can. Just like what Miss Lea Salonga said, there are birits which are not tiring to hear or hindi nakakapagod pakinggan. With Jona, napapagod talaga ako listening to her. Or may be I just don't really like her at all as a singer. But i think she is a nice person same as morissette.
I'm just confused as to what specific performances you think Jona sounds irritating? Her belts are open and free - she doesn't scream. I mean I respect your opinion that you prefer Morissette. I mean I love both but if you prefer Mori over Jona, then ok. But Im just trying to think of ways why someone would not like Jona as a singer. And compared to when she was starting, I actually prefer Jona's style now than before she was on GMA. I think she tried too hard in GMA because of her fellow biriteras. But in ASAP she looks like she is enjoying herself. And last point - out of the 4 birit queens in ASAP, JOna is the only one that studied music and that is why she can sing operatic songs. I don't think it is pilit - she learned it. But I think it is not as natural as Lani Misalucha. Lani is amazing in Operatic style

Sheik Almar Abidein Pagay ung iba makasabi falsetto daw, eh mas makapal naman ung tunog ng ginawa niya kesa falsetto. Hindi siya airy, hindi din siya soft. Matapang at makapal ung texture niya, therefore it's not FALSETTO but it's HEAD VOICE. #igno.
