    I've read that people that tried the single spring would switch back. Now a satisfied owner to start the day on a positive note. Happy it worked for you.

      Everyone's different, but I hate it when the clutch can't keep up with the engine. It pulls like a train now, and I can live with the drag. There's no drain for the gearbox oil if I went to a dry single plate clutch, so it would mean stripping down to the bare crankcases again to drill and tap one. Don't fancy that right now; it always takes way longer than it should.

      You probably didn't buy it to practice disassembly and assembly, you seemingly have enough practice doing that. If the new spring works I would tend to call it good. Besides if you are right handed it will build your left forearm to match. ☺
      My sporty got set aside while I tend to a problem on the panhead and they are both waiting for warmer weather. I got old and don't willingly funtion below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. Keep up the good work, you are an inspiration and I learn from your travails, thank you.
