Watching this made me cry. I never met Chelsi in person but as a pageant fan, we corresponded on social media. She truly was beautiful inside as well as out. I really admired and respected her sense of determination. Thanks to her frankness, I read a book she recommended called, The Magic Of Thinking Big. It helped her win all her pageants. The book is definitely a great self help book. I read it and it has helped me get almost every job I have ever had in my professional life. We joked about being August babies and would keep up with our lives on social media. I mainly remember her wit and sense of humor. More importantly her spirit and her love of the LGBT community in Houston. She will always be remembered and missed. Te queremos Chelsi. ❤️

I met you in Las Vegas during the Miss Universe pageant 1996,I asked if we could take a picture together and you didn't hesitate!You even put your hands around my shoulder and you were so polite!I know that you had a hard life after your reign but I will never forget that beautiful soul! Can we just talk about the jackpot of prizes Chelsi won along with the crowns. She could’ve put 5 kids through college with all the prize packages she collected.
