Damn this is good! The context you create in your openers really gives you such a great sense of how the effect in question sits in a mix. Really appreciate the various settings you run through in the knob twisting portion too.
You’re doing the pedal demo format better than anyone else on YT! It’s a shame you’re not seen by more folks but as long as you’re happy doing what you do. I seriously appreciate your work (and continued efforts of diverse playing)
Subbed! Best review I've seen on this. Wanted to hear it in a lower gain stage playing chords, not just fuzzed out gated wanky soloing. Exactly what I was looking for! And in a style of play that I can relate to. Thanks!
I am really loving your demos. Great choice of music. I am a Jazzmaster player and fan of MVB, Quotsa and many of the other bands I’m guessing you like. One of the changes you used in the intro piece brings to mind Swervedriver. Great work, and thanks for the demo.
The longer I play, the more I appreciate simple interfaces and designs. Among fuzz and Drives, the reality is that if you have to do a lot of tweaking beyond basic 2 o'clock settings, it's prob not great to begin with.I almost never use optional switches for diodes and the like, prob why the Unpleasant Surprise didn't remain long. With fuzz, I also gravitate towards the guitar volume clean up, as those are always unique and interesting sounds. This circuit certainly falls into the broad range territory, with a fresh approach. I can save the fussy adjustment efforts for modulations and Red Panda designs.
So excellent. Thank you. Question: does FFC use JFETs in everything? I have two of their pedals, the Account and their Shallow Water. And for as “interesting” and complex as these pedals are known to be (and they are) I always manage to get some very “always on” kind of sounds from them, and was suspecting that it might be their particular type of JFET circuitry.
Thank you! I don't know a ton about the specifics of the circuitry, but I wonder if that might have something to do with it! I totally agree though, I'm always really impressed by how well a lot of their pedals are able cover both the super subtle and somewhat extreme sounds

Thank you so much Alex, I really appreciate that!

Thank you so much, that means a lot!

Hey fantastic stuff man!! Very power pop 👍 I just got the 900 and love it.
great jam
Thanks!
Would love a more in-depth video on your setup and how you got these tones. Awesome video.
great job!
Thank you!
I’m going through your demos just to hear you play LOL.
Lovely demo-What pickguard is that on that partsmaster? I've been looking for one for my Rhytm circuit-less JM
Thank you! I got the pickguard from Decoboom. They have an option for no rhythm circuit in a dropdown when you order!
Intro could have been a title fight song

Going to have to pick one up! Are you just using the standard two notes captor with your HRD?
so many sweet riffs, is alot of this improvised? very impressive
Thank you! Other than the intro track, this is all pretty much improvised, yeah!
This or the Benson Germanium Fuzz. Asking because only one is available in my country :/
YUM
