- In this new episode, we are with the wonderful Adele in Fortunago, a charming village nestled in the mountains between Milan and Genova. Adele shows us a typical dish from the town, called "malfatti". In italian, "malfatti" means badly made. You only need a few ingredients for this dish, and they are quite fun to make! Here's the recipe:
For the meat sauce:
1 onion, 30ml olive oil, 2 bay leaves, 2 cloves, 500g minced beef
salt, 70ml vegetable stock, 200ml passata
For the dough:
500g swiss chard, 1 rosemary sprig, 1 bay leaf , 1 small onion, Olive oil
1 kg breadcrumbs (2 weeks old), 300g Grana Padano
salt, 5 eggs, 50ml vegetable broth
Buon appetito!

What a lovely nonna, such a sweet smile and kind sense of humor! Not to mention a fabulous home chef! Those malfatti with that sauce looked sooo delish! After every PG episode, I am eager to get into the kitchen. Blessings to lovely Adele and Pasta Grannies for your sunshine 💕
I'm glad you enjoyed the episode Christine! 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
I had been watching Pasta Grannies for a few years now. They always remind me of my Lolas❤
I loved her personality. And what a cozy village.
The village is beautiful, very quiet as she says x
I would certainly appreciate the peace and quiet. I would love this. The world needs more uses for chard. This sweet lady is a pro! Thanks Vicky and everyone at Pasta Grannies!❤❤❤
I love this! Everyone is in on the preparation today. May you reach 100, Adele! Another beautiful episode.
It is official - I want to learn to cook with Adele. What a wonderful teacher - with the most beautiful smile. And the malfatti look amazing! Thank you.
Her smile is contagious!
Love all these nonnas! Wish they were all my neighbors, and I knew them personally...I would be in heaven.
That looks so delicious. I usually watch your videos early on Saturday mornings. In bed of course 😂.
Cheers from New Zealand ❤
I like the stories of where and when people watch episodes - some folks watch while eating supper, others on the tube, but I reckon bed has to be a good place! 😁 best wishes, Vicky
BEST CHANNEL ON TH-cam! I need to move to Italy, everything is DELICIOUS looking, FRESH, and most of all TASTY!
Thank you, and yes, you should!
What an incredible dish! I dont know it but it looks hearty. The village looks so serene and stress free, what could be better! Thank you all.Ramon x
Adele e adorabile, i malfatti che nome per questo pasto. Thank-you again Vicky bringing these Nonnas to us from different parts of BellaItalia. Ciao e arrivederci 🥰💖😋😋😋 🇮🇹 🇮🇹 🇮🇹
Thank you Joanne x
A very nice, with their ingredients, these malfatti are for sure excellent! A very nice experience addition to the recent videos is to have much more interaction between Vicky and the grannies, this gives a real warm atmosphere.
Thank you very much Frederic! 😁🌺 best wishes, Vicky
❤❤❤❤❤ what a beautiful town and hearty recipe delicious 😋 Thank you 🙏 🙏 🙏
Thank you for your wonderful work!
Thank you for watching!
Haha, the peahen likes the peace and quiet also! What a lovely episode, thank you Adele and PG's 🙏
Yes! Thank you x
I'm realizing just about every pasta I make by hand is "malfatti", but not on purpose. LOL!
hi Daniel, that's funny - but as with malfatti, as long the pasta tastes good, then you're fine! 😁 best wishes, Vicky
Браво! Очень аппетитно выгладитВаше блюдо.👍🥰❤️
We grow Swiss chard!
I love this show so much...
thank you!😊🌺 best wishes, Vicky
I love your channel and this is an extraordinary recipe ❤
Thank you!
I love malfatti. Made a few times myself
@Dibipable pardon?????
Je dis ça au cas où…
❤If I could be there I would be happy 😊 and eat all that 🍝 pasta. 🥰🥰💜💕🙏🍝
amzing woman ❤❤
Hanno un aspetto fantastico ❤❤❤❤❤
I consider myself well cersed in Italian cuisine. But this is the first time hearing of this dish
Her mandevilla is gorgeous❤❤❤
Looks really good! ❤
They're not pretty dumplings by any metric, but I can imagine they'd taste good. I'd use pulled aubergine in place of the flesh for the sauce, I think.
❤❤❤
Love your videos but just want to note that the camera angles on this video keep changing too rapidly to watch comfortably.
🤗🌺🙏
How many portions does this wonderful recipe make?
I'd say around 5/6 people
❤
“She adds about £26 of Grana Padano…”
Similar to rabaton from Alessandria!
Thank you Fabio - I've made a note to try and film them! 😁 best wishes, Vicky
Just a note: Adele said they used 90kg of bread at the sagra, not 90kg of malfatti. I won’t dare to do the math and figure out how many kgs of malfatti that would make 😂
I'm not sure this is gnocchi, because gnocchi has potato?
Most famous gnocchi are made using potatoes but but you can also have pumpkin gnocchi, bread gnocchi, gnocchi alla romana (semolina gnocchi)....other regional specialties are chestnut gnocchi or rice gnocchi I think
Why can’t you pronounce her name properly? You spent so mouch time in Italy! Pronouncing someone’s name properly is the basic form of respect
The first thing in the video is Adele saying her own name in Italian.
@@eds1157 correct. And it’s not adeleee
❤❤❤
