Pine Flat Dam is on fire 11 13 23 Part 2

Pine Flat Dam is on fire. It was burning hot Monday 134, 2023. Fishing has a short window from 6 am to 11 am. Once the sun rises the fish quit biting. Also the fish are in 50 ft to 150 ft deep. The only way I could catch the fish was to troll a flicker 4 at 1.74 miles per hour. The bass fisherman I didn't see any catch fish. The lake is full. Deer Creek is dead. I think the water is not deep enough.

Starting from deer creek, straight across is Zebe cove, next cove is Lawless cove, next cove is Flume cove. Zebe cove and Flume cove both have bathrooms. After Flume cove is Windy gap that leads up to Trimmer boat launch. Past that is Sycamore cove off to the left and then Big creek cove off to the left. Then you start getting in to the arm of the Kings river. This time of year, im usually down about 15-25 ft 100ft out. Those lil dodgers start rolling around at about 2.0mph. Anything above 2.0 ill use a short bus something a lil bigger.

Thanks for the safety tips. People don't realize what they're up against if they fall in cold water in full clothing. Plus people never consider that they might bump they head and be knocked out.

A women told me last week her inlaw was going about 25mph when they hit an underwater boulder. The impact tore the back off the motor off the boat. He injured his arm but survived. The ranger said the boulder must have rolled into the area during the flood.

@micpay you're a lucky guy. It's nice up there. My father in law moved up there about 20 years ago. Calwell Idaho. He does a lot of fishing on the Snake River and lake Lowell. He has 3 acres off south Florida. He use to be surrounded by potatoe fields, now its all sub divisions.
