I’m so happy you enjoyed the SBSS and I promise you it doesn’t NOTHING but get better each time!! The seaside cafe series reminds me of practical magic, the whole family curse, eccentric aunts, etc. I love the series, and Bree Baker is the pen name for Julie Ann Lindsey who is also Jacqueline Frost. She has some wonderful cozy series!
I read Bookshop by the Sea a few years ago and my impression of it was that it was basic. I didn't hate it but it wasn't memorable either. Hope your August reading goes better!
I’m so glad you loved The Secret, Book and Scone Society (SBASS). I have read books 1-5 and books 3 and 5 are, in my opinion, even better than book one. This is what series reading is for me. Finding a group of people you really like and getting to go back and spend time with them when a new book is released.
I read A Novel Proposal by Denise Hunter and I too feel like the faith didn't match the actions of some characters. I actually felt uncomfortable at times. I won't be reading any more Denise Hunter books. The Seaside Cafe series is so enchanting. I agree, it is like a warm hug. I'm so glad you're enjoying the series! In July, I read Sniffing Out Murder by Kallie E Benjamin, Brie Careful What You Wish For by Linda Reilly, Peking Duck and Cover by Vivien Chien, and Books 1-8 in the Secrets of the Castleton Manor Library series. I enjoyed them all! I'm ready for Fall too! 👻
Love your videos! I agree with you about The Last Mrs. Parrish. I don't have a lot of triggers for psychological thrillers but I DNF'd at the last POV section. I won't read anymore. Right now I'm reading House of Glass by Sarah Pekkanen!! Some trigger warnings but a fabulous read! I highly recommend for thriller fans.
👻 I will definitely be avoiding the scary books because I'm big chicken 😆 But I really need to get to The Secret, Book & Scone Society before September 😬 Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
I am having to take Powerless off my TBR for the month. After C&B being such a good fantasy; I don’t think it would be fair to read Powerless right after. Not a fair chance.
Denise is hit or miss for me-her newest ones are so different I feel like. Love Unscripted & A Novel Proposal. Shes went more “clean fiction” vs “Christian” fiction now and I think that’s better for her last 2 books I read. I’ve had several of her older ones I didn’t enjoy either.
What a beautiful Saturday morning when I get to spend some of it with you! ☺️🫶
🥹 I love you!

We have the same Little Women edition! ❤
After 2 books, I was content to be done with Finlay.
New subscriber!! I just finished the third Findlay Donovan! It did go off the rails but I have to keep going! It ended on a cliffhanger!!
Hi, welcome!! 😊
I so qgree with you on the MINDY QUIGLEY book! I also found the protagonist cold and unappealing.
Yes! But, I hear the series gets better. So, we will see!!
What is the most beautiful romantic book you liked?😅
