Hard to go wrong with David Clark headsets. They’ve been good quality solid dependable headsets for many decades. I wear them when I’m doing flight instruction - have for years.

That's what I figured when buying the headset. Tried and true.

Great videos, thanks for taking us along on your journey! Why did you choose the QuickSilver compared to Aerolight103 or GCS Hawk or other? Can you do a video covering all the the different systems ie Powertrain (engine, gearbox, prop, wheel and brakes, electrical and avionics if any (can’t tell what that white egg dash board is).

Hey DJ, thanks for watching! I had a couple of reasons for going with the Quicksilver. I did some research and found that they were by far the most popular ultralight. They are tried and true. The manufacturer has been around FOREVER, and the parts and support are readily available.
It didn't hurt that I found two of them listed for sale in my local area. The green one that I own now was well kept and had lots of upgrades. I couldn't pass it up.
      I really like my Quicksilver.
I am interested in, and would like to fly a few of the other Ultralights such as the Aerolight 103, Airbike, and especially the Chinook.
I do wish I had a windshield or enclosed cabin for the winter months 🤣
That said, I've put the plane away for the winter, but I'll see if I can do a quick walk around video for you next time I'm at the hangar.
Here's a video that I found on the topic of choosing an Ultralight manufacturer: th-cam.com/video/EcvXzvWHzUw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=knNXk1tFPLA3s68S

What school did you go to in Oregon? I’m going to be moving up there soon. (from California,) and may want to follow in your footsteps.

Well Stephen, that's awesome! These videos are made for you! I couldn't find much on TH-cam, so I figured I'd make some Quicksilver videos of my own!
I have a lot of build and maintenance videos recorded (about 12...) that still need to be edited and uploaded. Not to mention the nearly 15 hours worth of flight training footage...
I just need to get the time to edit them them all.
I'll get them up as fast as I can.
As you've seen by some of my videos, the plane is built and airworthy. I'm just taking care of some minor things before I fly it far from the airport.
In the meantime, anyone can feel free to message me with questions or comments through the FB page!:
