    Adding bark back is a brilliant idea, I will look for some bark off some fallen trees and stick it back on

      😁 Thanks George. It almost makes it look original, lucky for me i just happened to have a spare bit of tree kicking around 🤣😂. Thanks for watching 😁👍

      😁 Thanks Bill. Glad you liked it. Its still looking good after all this time as its encased in the resin 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍

      @frankslittleworkshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      😁 Thanks DCD. I am pleased with the results. Now its encased in the resin you need to look twice to see if its real live edge or not (but we all know the truth 😆😆). Thanks very much for watching. Just going to sub to your channel 😁👍

    Dude, loved it. The “fork” technique was brilliant. I think it will be lovely when finished. Great ideas.

      😁 I'm sure there are a million different ways to do these things... but I had a fork... so that was the ideal tool for the job 😁. Thanks for watching 😁 👍.

    That was fork-ing genius and a bark-ing great idea Frank. Love where this is going.

    Love it. Adding back extra bark - every lie needs an element of truth to be convincing ;) Lookfoward to seeing the full top.

      🤣 I must admit that doing a "Bark transplant" was a first for me 😂. I wonder if it will be my last 🤔. Thanks for watching Chris 😁👍

    Fair play to you Frank, I've never seen anyone put in that much effort to fake a live edge piece of wood. Made me chuckle with the fork, it actually looked like it worked really well though!!! 😁 Nice pretend faux live edge 🤣👌

    • @frankslittleworkshop
      @frankslittleworkshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      😁 Thanks James. The fork did work (I was surprised). I think I need to modify one a bit and sharpen the prongs.. then I won't need to bend the fork so much 😁. Thanks again for the support James 😁👍

    Hi Frank.... very innovative... I would not have thought about using scaffold boards... they looked really effective.... blow torching the edges might have given it a bark effect... perhaps it would be too black though... looking forward to the next instalment... take care...All the best.....Andy

    • @frankslittleworkshop
      @frankslittleworkshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Andy 😁. I did think of using a blow torch but didn't want the carbon leaching in to the resin 🤔. But I guess it would be OK if I sealed it first 🤔. I may try that next time 😁. Thanks for watching Andy 😁👍

    Dude, that looks far better than it has any right to! I actually laughed out loud when you pulled out the fork, but hey, if it works, it works!
    Looking forward to seeing the rest of your *dead edge* river table!
    When you're all done, package it all up into a short 1-2 minute video as well, all fast speed, no sound; that sort of video and build would run like wildfire on facebook!

      😂🤣 thanks David.. but no 😔. The log shed did get a few pallets in it... but they have gone already... and it's going to snow tomorrow 🙁. May end up burning my live edge 😂🤣. Thanks again for your support David 😁👍

    Just bought a chainsaw, now, to find me a big lump of tree! Don't understand why live edge wood is expensive, it's a lot less work for the sawmill! Should be a lot cheaper than dressed wood! Ah well that's what being fashionable does to stuff - supply and demand. 😱 👍😎

    • @frankslittleworkshop
      @frankslittleworkshop  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well said Ged 😁. But it's not the strangest thing that has happened over the last few years 😂🤣. The world has gone mad, so making pretend wood out of a real piece of wood is probebly acceptable 😂🤣. Thanks for watching 😁👍
