Be Ambitious lyrics and choreo being censored and triggering a male rights group to go to court to try to ban the song and MV. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH 💖💖💖

They called it NaDalRain.
The entire Joker Album was made by Subin (Dalsooobin) and Leez. Leez obviously years later went onto producing DC. By the time of the last album the group was down to 4 members and eventually all members left Happy Face.
In 2019 they had a reunion concert and 2 of the members who had left earlier, rejoined the group for the concert bringing them back up to 6 members. That same month while preparing for the concert, DC was coming out with Deja Vu. All the Dalshabet members went to the Showcase to cheer them on. I think if Covid hadn't happened we probably would have had something more from them, maybe not a comeback, as they have no company, but definitely another reunion concert.

As for the songs, BBB is the 80s throwback other groups aspire to. Joker is iconic! Someone Like U was my favorite song of the year and Fri Sat Sun was such a fun and lovely way for them to end their badass run.
I'm a bit late, but I have to comment. I love these DalShabet's songs, and I love what DalSooobin (aka Subin, DalShabet's main vocalist and tallest kpop maknae EVER) does nowadays as a singer. It is very rare for a kpop artist to go indie, but that's exactly what Subin did. She's her own CEO of her own company, she writes her own songs, and she writes them in different styles. I highly recommend Katchup, that song is FIRE.
Oh, and for happier life, one should watch the dance practice for Someone Like U (the one with the close ups).
Love Shake was actually a Dalshabet b-side, which got remade by Minx. There are some videos of the Dalshabet interacting with Minx, that were pretty cute.
Tbh Dal Shabet's discography is one of the best in kpop but sadly the public overlooked them :(
These were their last four comebacks. I like BBB and Someone Like U the most. Their earlier songs were a bit cuter. Pink Rocket, Bling Bling, Have Don't Have, Be Ambitious, Mr Bang Bang for example.
member subin participated in the writing/production of every song on the joker mini album, making her the first girl group member ever to play a hand in every song on an album’s production! and she did it while recovering from car accident injuries!! she’s said that when working on joker she wanted it to show both dalshabet’s cute side and sexy side, like a harley quinn kinda thing, but their company clearly had other plans conceptwise lollll

Yes, they're another iconic sexy group of the 2nd/early 3rd gen. Amazing vocalists. They were known to push the boundaries when it came to sexiness, a few of their choreos had to be adjusted for broadcast because they were deemed too sexy. Also, they were produced by Happy Face, the same company that produced DreamCatcher.

OMG I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Supa Dupa Diva was their debut and it's super iconic tbh back then it was popular. Also listen to Hit U, Rocket Girl, Bling Bling Bling, mr.bang bang and there's more tbh hit songs from them. Back then, media were confused why they never won ever on music shows.
I will always love Dalshabet with all my heart, this is a group in blame for my DC discovery, bcuz of them I heard of DC debut ❤️

Dal Shabet really did help pave the way for sexy concepts though. They stirred up “controversy” for stuff that wouldn’t even bat an eye now.

My favorite K-Pop group and unfortunately they had already disbanded by the time I discovered them. Luckily they all still remain good friends so hopefully we will get another comeback one day.

BBB is such an iconic song. Quintessential 80s throwback song. Too many kpop songs have a lot of reactors and reviews describing it as "80s" when its really not (Can't Stop Me comes to mind, even though I love that song). But BBB had a very distinctive 80s sound with its melodic synths.
One of the big things that separates a true 80s sound from a lot of ambient "vaporwave" is having melody in the synths. Also, BBB is very clearly inspired by the likes of Samantha Fox which is just an iconic sort of throwback to come out of kpop.

I think the song "Someone Like You" is very underestimated. Korea is not very popular with the topic of female power. It's a shame that many groups simply fail to compete or have bad companies. I miss too many.
