6:58 the reason this is funny is because it plays off your expectations. You can see him running to the edge to presumably jump into the water but instead he runs off the edge in a position preparing to jump. The video ends abruptly to give your brain less time to comprehend what just happened making it even more funny
From the few times I have seen comedians explain why jokes work, it's always about subverting expectations. Jokes run dry when you know what to expect, though when that happens is highly dependent on the person.
Hate it when the video you wanna look for and save is just named “shitpost status.” It just makes so hard to find it. Why did they do that?
