Hi, teacher. Thank you so much your all efforts. I have a question. After I am done these 9 beginner lessons, what can I do? Should I wait for your upcoming lessons?

Lesson 10 will be posted soon, but after that, I've got hundreds of additional hours of training available on my web site. Starting with Level 2 which you can get for $1 here: 599cd.com/1dollar

I’ve added the date search in the query and when I go to add your NY it says it’s too complex or if I remove the date it says data type mismatch in criteria expression. Do you know how I can fix this?

Great video! One problem I’m having is with null values and the results I get in queries. I have fields from more than table and I don’t always know the information for each field therefore leave it blank. When I create a query the fields that contain at least one null value don’t return as a result. Any quick tip or do you have a video I can check out to fix this?

If you want to find fields that have no value set the criteria to: IS NULL

I'm learning Access as I have a need to create a DB to manage a golf tournament. I'm stuck with queries. At the registration desk, I would like to enter the participant's name and return his foursome (number) and the other three on the same foursome team. What lesson do you recommend I watch to learn how to create this complex query using a form? Thanks

This is a little complex. I'm assuming you have a FoursomeT table (parent form) and then a PartipantT related table (one-to-many, subform). You'll need to search for a participant, use DLOOKUP to find what Foursome he's in, then open that form. The subform should then show all four participants. 599cd.com/DLOOKUP

If you can't figure it out, submit this at 599cd.com/TH. It would actually make a pretty cool video.

How come i don't have " Add Table " tool & i only have " Show table" tool. Thanks !

If your screens look different from mine you may have a different version of Access installed.

@@599CD thanks for your fast reply. I am using Access 2016 version. Fortunately I found that it won't affect my study because " show table" has the same function.
I like your lessons, thank you very much Sir !

Can someone spec an Access Db and pay you to create it?

The only projects I'm accepting now are ones that have mass appeal and that I can turn into video lessons or seminars. My plate is quite full, and I'd much rather be teaching and recording videos than building databases for other people. See: 599cd.com/Consulting for details.
