I can’t tell who is who, they all look so similar. I’m waiting for their characters to show, one is rather shy and one is intrepid but other than that they all seem the same so the are all called ginny. 😄

Also, on the note of the term "sewist:" Yes! It is a term made by the crafting community and I love it. It is a great word that bridges the gap between those who sew for pleasure and those who sew for profession (tailor/seamstress/alteration specialist).
So, so many people sew and after referring to them as sewers (which, of course, looks like sewers when written out), some beautiful person said sewist and it caught like wildfire.
Very nicely put! And also language changes over time, we do t speak like we did in the days of Jane Austin (such a shame) anymore and with the ease of travel and communication channels like social media and the internet our language is evolving faster than ever before. It’s nice we can find words that fit our craft better than sewer 💩 🚽 😂

Hi Gayna, such lovely vlogs and I have subscribed. I am happy to stay in with my sewing and crafty things that I do. I also would love to trade places!! My dream is to live in the country with some rescued hens, some dogs and have wildlife around. I do live semi rural in Somerset myself but would love to live in the the Peak District area, I look at houses but can only dream at the moment. Tonight as I was looking at my lovely solar lights in my garden I saw an owl swoop down and land on the wooden fence, fantastic! Its too hot now, cannot win with the weather lol
Hello Fellow Somersetian! Glad to have you here. We have some noisy adolescent owls here at present, they practice their hoot and it’s quite amusing really. The Peak District looks glorious, I haven’t visited, but it would be such a wrench for me to leave Somerset now. The roots are deep and strong. X
I bought one of those massage guns because I saw yours and I agree it has been really good. Recently a physiotherapist has been at my home to help OH and when I showed her, she was really impressed too!
We love our massage gun, it’s so helpful!

I love the cardigan and I would just fold the cuffs back. It looks great on you! If you look at how some of the sweaters are modeled, some show longer sleeves on purpose and I think it's a very cool look.

I follow Karen on Instagram and love her socks. She is a real inspiration and has given me the lead into lots of new sock patterns and designers. I am lucky that while I enjoy knitting them I also have family that enjoy receiving and wearing them.
Thank you for your review of the Rover. I have something similar but it doesn’t mop. Your sweater is gorgeous. It does look like a great deal of work. I’m VERY glad you didn’t die young. I love your garden cardigan (i think that's what it's called). Gayna, we are so similar! I'm 46 with baby hair cut in a bob (that's grown out some), and my hair's thin as hell. I love my super cheap robot vacuum. I only bumper vacuum once a week with 3 cats and a dog.

Loved the long video and vacuum recap. They have come along way especially with the mapping. I love your cardigan. The color looks nice on you. If you really don’t end up liking your sleeves, it would look nice to rip them off and just put a short edging on the drop shoulder sleeves. A short sleeve cardigan is a bit harder to work into a wardrobe- but maybe good for summer?

Loved watching your vlog/pod this morning and all the tips. We have had a look at our floor hoover and yes it does 'mop' we didn't know that. It's a bit like asking a teenager to put the hoover round/mop the floor!!!!! Your cardigan is beautiful and I think it really suits you. Such a milestone when your children leave school etc. I get 'you' about feelings. Your chuffed for them but then you are like hold on, on no. But good job done!! Garden beautiful x

I’d have thought you’d have been bored of me after a full month. I do get repetitive!
As I sit with the heating on, on a cold (12 degree c) wet New Zealand winters morning, it is lovely to see your lovely summer garden. It is beautiful.
Up until last week it was cold here too, regularly 9°! It’s still a little chilly on the breeze but I don’t mind that too much now the temperatures are rising. I feel like I’ve been cold to the bone for months!!

Oh that’s so sad. That happened to my friend too she has some sort of flashing light thing now to stop the heron from visiting that does seem to have done the trick.

The yarn was the equivalent to 10 balls of what ever the weight was on the ball band.
I would definitely just roll the sleeves back on your gorgeous cardigan. You can't see any mistakes. I am knitting a pair of Norwegian mittens with Holst Super soft and set them aside because they didn' look good. You are inspiring me to take them back out and complete them and hope they look better when they are finished.

Well the vacuum seems amazing, the cardigan is gorgeous, the Tee shirt knitted and sewn look brilliant and I can' believe Teddy has left school where did that time go, bags beautiful xx
When I don't know what to do with left over yarn I knit for charity. Our healthcare auxiliary mostly. I used to be yhe president, now the vice president and the itenpms are used for fund raising. Left over sweater yarn I knit into socks if the ysrn is suitable. Gauge. With a top down sweater I use the start of the sweater for my swatch. For bottom up I knit the sleeves first and 7se that for a guage swatch. I don't have a problem ripping back if I don't have gauge.
What a lovely thing to do! I don’t have a problem with ripping back either but I don’t fancy having to redo the sleeves on this cardi. I think they are fine rolled back. That’s what I am telling myself anyway!!
Yesterday I went to the Cumberland Wool Gathering (loved it) and then had a chippy supper ( yummy) - but the icing on the cake was seeing you here last night. Fabulous and a delight. Love the garden and cardi and cannot wait to hear what you have been up to next. Thanks so much ❤

Great seeing you Gayna. The cardy turned out perfect and looks lovely. Congratulations to the Hurkle Durkle winners. I know how you would have felt with another era about to start for Ted. I cried buckets when my son finished school, he had to move to a large city to start an apprenticeship for Draughting. It was a long time ago, as he is now an Architect with his own large business . He went onto Uni to study Architecture after the draughting course. So proud of him, he is looking after me well now that I'm on my own.I hope Ted carries on with his farming that he had been doing. My late husband(who was a Brit) went to agricultural college in the UK before coming out to NZ. Your garden looks superb, it must be so lovely to walk around and admire. It's always so lovely to see you and catch up. Loved your gifted socks. Unfortunately couldn't quite see the pattern on the screen, light was a bit bright.Also I think the camera was trying to focus on your face.😚

I love my iRobot! Plug it in an connect it to Wi-Fi and boom! Life got simpler! It doesn’t mop, but it empties itself when full and continues vacuuming.

Hello Gayna. Thank you for another great podcast. I bought a robot vacuum called Pascal, definitely male, last year. He’s great, but even greater when I broke my pelvis. Zimmer frames and vacuuming don’t mix but Pascal was my saviour.

I've got a "non-shedding" Cockapoo (yeah right) who fills my hoover with huge amounts of white fluff every time! Love your new cardi, so light and airy. I wouldn't reknit the sleeves either! Thanks for a lovely long video. Gayna, your sweater is GORGEOUS!!!!! I've never held Supersoft single, and after seeing your sweater, I think I must give it a try. I'm guessing it was one of your more inexpensive sweaters to knit. I'd personally just fold the cuffs back and call it good. With the leftovers you could hold the yarn double and make a young child's sweater because the yarn washes up so well. Congrats to all the winners. Will check out the new yarn.

Gayna, I absolutely loved this long video! I’m so glad you were able to get that robot vacuum. Mine is called Rosie for the robot house cleaner in The Jetsons…not sure if you were able to get that cartoon in the UK. Even if you did, it was before your time. I use it every day that I don’t vacuum (Hoover!). I love it. I hate the mopping function though and never use it. Your cardigan looks lovely; there are no mistakes in knitting…..only design elements 😉. Congratulations to the Hurkle Durkle prize winners! We are all winners with your beautiful yarn. ❤
