I would've liked to hear the full podcast, but at the time we all said it was a grave mistake to close it. The govt had no backup plan for supplying oil and gas to the nation and no other means of earning foreign revenue. I am wondering if this was forced on the govt with the Green New Deal that has failed across the world! Oil I'd a naturally occurring mineral and does not damage the environment, if it did Saudi Arabia and other countries would've stopped drilling. Our govt is just plain stupid and has no financial acumen
