As someone who has never spent 1 single minute playing tarkov, I think you bring up some very valid points with DMZ. Its CoD's way of trying to reclaim some of the players they have lost in WZ over the last couple years but you are right. If you are able to just land high tier loot, walk 30 meters and extract... theres not going to be much of a thrill for the avid tarkov players looking to get that CoD feel with Tarkov style game mode. Very good video my man.
I appreciate it homie! Definitely going to give it a solid shot over the next couple of days. After watching the play test I hope they lean a litttttle heavier into the hardcore aspects. Think it would just help it play better long-term. (losing weapons, having the money you get out of raid with matter a little more, etc.) I think it has unlimited potential though. Excited to see it grow over time.
Hey Pro Marauders Player here, DMZ WIll be huge comp ! Will be nice add to looter shooter side! Also 13 likes on this COME ON GUYS , GIVE THIS MAN SOME LOVE!
Hmm interesting. Hadn't thought about comp honestly. I hope it is big for something like that. Would love to see more comp looter shooter / extraction shooter type stuff in that space. Hahaha thanks for the love. Excited to keep growing and making some DMZ content. Hopefully, it'll be hundreds of likes before I know it.
I want DMZ to be good so bad, but have doubts especially given how MWII turned out. The competition will definitely be a good thing for Tarkov either way, so I'm looking forward to it.
Yeah I'm definitely cautiously optimistic, but I hope it can at least be something competitive in the space. Just need the gameplay loop to be rewarding and not too casual ideally.
@@julianleft4662 Hey, if you're enjoying the game, that's awesome man. But if you think that's a good CoD game, I got a bridge I think you'd be really interested in purchasing lol
The critical problem is that they will merge call of duty 2024 and 2026 and even more future call of duty titles into Warzone 2 and Dmz. It makes the weapon balance a pile of shit and make the game modes too bloated. That should be the core problem, the game cannot have a good and healthy long run.
That's a really good callout. Should have included that. Completely agree. There definitely needs to be a clear delineation between the titles. Having 3 games worth of weapons on one mode is terrible.
Even though I am very against P2W in every game I play, it is pretty hard for a full loot game to be P2W unless good gear is very cheap. One example to this is Albion Online, where it is possible to buy the best gear possible by paying insane amounts of IRL currency, however the very likely possibility of losing that gear to a very cheap geared squad makes it not worth. So, I wouldn't be worried about P2W as long as the game is full loot.
Hmm interesting. That's a great point. Appreciate you taking the time to comment. I agree. Still wouldn't make sense to buy good gear in Tarkov because you could get 1 tapped by a cheap weapon the very next raid. Only thing I worry about is that sort of light anxiety feeling you get from taking in good loot, or having a lot loot on you. Makes the fights and extractions so much more fun and random. Because each interaction has different stakes. Would just be a bummer to see where you could just go buy currency if you run out. I guess it's the fallback option I'd rather not see. But like you said, if it's full loot it wouldn't really matter.

Interesting thoughts! I can't wait to get some of these answers about DMZ and looking forward to the future DMZ videos you put out.
I appreciate it homie! Honestly, super excited to do content on DMZ. Never thought I'd see Tarkov and CoD have any crossover.

"specially given how MWII turned out" - you mean finally a good cod game? damn, what a turnout.
