Rimmy, as an Irish person I can tell you: that's not a shillelagh, that's a hurley. It's the weap- I mean sporting equipment used in Hurling which Jason Statham eloquently described as "a cross between hockey and murder". Hope this helps!
A teacher once told us that there were some teachers from either Iceland or Finland visiting the school, and that they asked "why are the students carrying weapons around?". They were referring to the hurleys.
While not Irish (at least not pureblooded, but I can trace up through my Grandfather into Ireland), I also noticed that wasn't a shillelagh, but a hurley! ^_^

It's not a shillelagh, it's a hurley stick, hurley is a traditional celtic sport. It's like the Irish cricket bat or baseball bat equivalent. Many folk heroes are famous for using them to beat up people, notably Cú Chulainn.

This was made by Romero Games, who are based in Ireland. The team themselves are American immigrants, but they must have had a wealth of local voice actors around to pick from for the Irish characters.
You'd hope so, our boy Romero and his studio are in Galway.

As a viewer from the antipodies (Italian): yeah some of us don't like to say it, but we've been the aliens for a good chunk of the 18th and 19th century. So the title is pretty damn accurate.

*Can we just take a minute to appreciate how great a games company Paradox Interactive is?* Like, even their DUDS are high quality. They regularly interact with the gaming community and the TH-cam community, and I don't recall a major scandal that originated with them. They've got high expectations, and they meet them.
These guys consistently put out really high-quality content, and I'm proud to call myself a fan.
Only true issue is the amount of money you have to pour into a game to get all the DLC
@@nickmills8906 eh, that I'm more inclined to forgive because a) they always do a free update alongside the dlc, and b) the dlc funds ongoing patches and support, which ain't cheap. It's only really a problem coming into a game like ck2 or eu4 that is a decade plus old and thus has a shitload of dlc

Picked this up. McKee's ability is *actually* insane. It's free Gunslinger but instead of shooting everyone once, you shoot one guy until he's dead AND THEN AUTOMATICALLY MOVE ON TO ANYONE LEFT. It's 10 shots and it's straight up a room-clearer.

I love the fact that the building at 18:52 is called “Teach an ól” which literally translates from Irish as “drink house”
So fun fact, when you did the mission for Hugh where you talked to the officer, you talked as the boss. However, with these side missions involving your guys, you're supposed to have THEM talk to the person, which you can do by clicking on Hugh (or maria or whoever), and then you control the conversation with them. I made the same mistake for hugh, and then managed to do it right with Maria
