I love the idea of this travel book. It is off to a great start (as always 😉) and as you said once she starts adding to it, it will fully blossom. It's always nice to see something in a genre with a different approach! 👌👌 Thanks for sharing and I LOVE that watercolor booklet! 😊😊

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the little needleboooooooooooooooooks!!! its all a feast for the eyes! this time I waited to see part 1 first =) just exquisite, my dear!
Well, I have never seen anything so clever and imaginative as this little travelling wallet containing everything you would need to record in words and sketches all the exciting adventures you encounter on your journey. It's every traveller's perfect companion especially in Italy. I love the little art palette. I've no idea how it works though. I have a sister. I think I just might send her a link to this video, part 1 and 2, of course...haha! By the way, I've just made my first matchbook :-) thank you, Jibid, for such enjoyment and for your mini tutorial. xx
Angela Sweby aww lovely to hear that angela, thankyou :) the little palette is used just like a paint palette, wet the brush and pick up the paint - the pigment is from watercolour pencils, rubbed very hard onto thick artist' paper. The wax paper on the inside serves to keep the colours clean. X

I'm down in Somerset this week meeting up with the three friends I shared a house with from 1971-74 when we were all at college in Weymouth but I go home tomorrow and can't wait to try it out :-) there's always something new to learn from your presentations.
I very much like the way you used vellum with square-shaped images-- don't know if you printed them or they came that way. I also like the little collages of stamps, luggage tags & postage-- seemingly more than usual? It adds interest in a subtle way. I wanted to let you know about an Etsy seller, Tina Jensen Art-- she's from Denmark & one thing she does is collage & stitch on vintage postcards, making little foreground gardens. The stitched plants w/ flowers remind me so much of the stitched botanicals you do! You might find it interesting to check out her store & see if you think there's much of a comparison. I bought 2-3 of the postcards & will be sticking them in my gluebooks. Speaking of sticking-- what a brilliant idea to put the photo corners on before attaching to the page! No, I'm not being sarcastic-- I tried it the other way first too. 🤔☝🏻✅🤣

So Baedeker must have decided to re-launch their iconic guides for those completing their education with the Grand Tour". Fortunately, only the brushes and palette will be required as the paper is already there and Jibid has provided a very clever suggestion for the water. So now we have the Silk Road and Italy where in the world will be transported next......I wonder.....?
