@@DUDEBRUHMICE technically, Roy didn't lose his match to the grass gym leader, yes they had battled previously but it wasn't an official battle or trial. I'm also glad Dot didn't win because if she had somehow pulled it off, that would've made Liko look bad for losing to Katy when her starter is evolved and the others aren't, granted I know some fans are still probably unhappy regardless since they get the "pity" feeling similar to how Ash got his badges back during his first season, even though the trials don't require a win, people want them to anyway to make it feel truly earned.

Actually type advantage wasn’t the reason Iono won, it was because Dot Terastalized first. If you remember Liko Terastalized before Katy and Lost, however Roy Terastalized After Brassius and Won.

I knew Iono was gonna win Not because she had a type Advantage, but because Dot Terastalized First.

In this case, Liko is not as familiar with battles as Roy, when it comes to fighting he beats her because he likes fighting more.
