After 15 years with Austin Eye, I am never surprised at your innovation. Once again, you strike a great balance between showcasing your state of the art facilities and patient education about all aspects of the eye care your team provides. Fantastic video, and having seen the lobby, diagnostic, and exam parts of the new center, I can say it is truly an architectural and medical technology showcase. Soon I'll be visiting for premium lens replacement and I look forward to seeing those surgical suites up close!

Great facility, must have set you back a few dollars! Question: I’m planning on receiving a cataract surgery with a
premium IOL PanOptic lens implant next month @ The Medical Eye Center in Manchester, NH. They told me they decided a few years ago to discontinue the use of laser in their operations, as they saw no significant improvement over traditional surgery. Additionally it saves patients approximately $1500 per eye, by electing for traditional surgical techniques. Would you be in agreement that by not using laser, that for most scenarios this would not result in any compromise to the quality of lens implants?
I know you’re quite busy Dr. Wong, but I would appreciate any feedback on this topic. Congratulations on your beautiful and state of the art eye clinic facility.

In my hands, NOT using the laser is safer and better for the patient than using the laser. Here's why: th-cam.com/video/jEHehqdsNDs/w-d-xo.html

@@ShannonWongMD Just finished watching the video link you sent me. Wow, didn’t realize they’re were so many advantages for both the patient and eye clinic! Thanks for further confirming that I made a great choice Dr. Wong, much appreciated. Can’t wait for my surgery, and finally getting rid of my 20+ reading glasses. Looking forward to seeing your future videos.

Affirmative. The first ophthalmology residents for our program have been selected through the ophthalmology match.

Doctor Wong. You implied in a previous video that placing a Panoptix lens in someone that's had YAG capsulotomy is NOT a safe procedure. I'd like to know if there are any lens options that you would consider "safe" for someone who has already had YAG capsulotomy and would like an exchange.

I live in Orlando and may not be able to travel to your facility so I was wondering who you would recommend for lens replacement surgery in Florida? (Toric PanOptix Lens)

Hello Mr Wong i had an eye exam a week ago and the doctor said I have optic nerve cupping but there’s no signs of glaucoma. And I’m still wondering what could’ve caused it. if it’s not glaucoma and is there any procedures that could help restore vision loss?

Is it required to have anesthesiologist with you in the OR?
And is having an ICU mandatory at your facility?
What is the law in US?
