    Awesome video thanks for posting! I ordered the same thing from the links you provided and installed the lights on my daughters 2020 raptor 90. It was easy to install.

    Looks awesome brother thanks for the video! I just bought me a 2018 90 raptor that never got ridden for $800 and going to do the same thing you did and give it to my son for Christmas. Thank you once again very helpful! ✌🏼

      You know what? It up and died on her the other day, and my mind went there first when it would not start, I pulled it all off and it made no difference. Turns out the battery just died. New battery and back in business.

    Did you use the 9 watt or 3 watt lights ? In the reviews it says the 9 get very hot and melt plastic, have you had this issue ? Thank you

      probably the 3, they dont get hot at all. When I made this video there was only 1 option.

    Tried ths with a 2020 raptor 50 and the lenses are smaller and they will not go back on with the cat eye leds.

    Today my wife’s uncle and grandma bought my son a brand new YFZ50 white and i notice something was wrong there.... wait, plastic fake headlight, why?!?! No brake light, seriously.... then i search on web to see if they have a light kit and ur vlog youtube came across which was really awesome!! Curiously how did it work at night i mean pitch black dark out?

    • @EvolATV
      @EvolATV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It works pretty well, definitely enough to get home and more importantly offer visibility of the ATV after dark. The lights are definitely bright enough but the lack of a proper light bucket and reflector make it uncomparable with a real light setup. There are light bucket sets out there and if you plan on say heading to the dunes and doing any serious night riding I would invest in a set of those. But for a low cost alternative this works just fine for buzzing around my house. Also the very end of this video shows the quad lit up in pitch black conditions so you can see what the output is like. Its about 5:12. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it.

    At a crossroads here. I bought the same brake light. I see a yellow, brown and green wire. Which one was the signal wire? Same with switch. I see orange and brown. everything is the same as the links you provided. before I butcher the wiring of this 2013 raptor 90 I am working on, any thoughts?

    • @johnnabors7066

      is yellow the switch/fuse?

    • @EvolATV
      @EvolATV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't remember. Brown is Ground. hook the yellow and green to (one at a time) 12v and see which one is brighter, that will be your brake signal.

    • @EvolATV
      @EvolATV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe, you would have to PM or something so I could send a picture. It's not too crazy. Every light has a + and -. Hook all the + together, and hook all the - together, then hook those combined to the battery + and - respectively. Hook the signal wire on the brake light to that green wire I show in the video. Then wire the switch inline between all so it breaks the circuit. Super simple.

    Could you explain how you did the wiring for the headlights? The lights and on and off switch.

    • @EvolATV
      @EvolATV  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure it's pretty simple, all positive leads have to go back to 12v+ and all grounds have to go back to a ground. The switch breaks the connection between the 12v+ connection and the power source. I solder all of the 12v+ together and all of the grounds together to a single line for each. Run them back to the battery and make sure the switch is in line to break the connection on the positive side. (I also fuse the 12v lead at the battery obviously.)

    Great video, i followed your guide when i installed on my sons 2020 yamaha. But i have one issue, when i put in reverse and brake, the fuse pops. Do you have the same problem? I use a 5a fuse.Can you tell me why it pops ? Accept for that it works just fine. Greetings from Sweden 👍💪🤘🍻

      I talking about the tail light by the way...

    • @EvolVillainRC
      @EvolVillainRC 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johanwagensjo2581 I cant think of any reason it would pop when in reverse. I do not have that issue. There is no reverse lighting to overload anything. I think I used a 7amp fuse because I bought them for my 700r. Where is the fuse located? It needs to be as close to the battery as possible. My guess is you are tapped in in the wrong place with the brake wire. There is some kind of RPM limit or throttle cut when in reverse. I cant think of any other reason that being in reverse would trigger such an event.

    • @EvolVillainRC
      @EvolVillainRC 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Another thing that comes to mind are possible wiring differences between an SE and US model.

    • @johanwagensjo2581
      @johanwagensjo2581 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EvolVillainRC OK. Thanks! The fuse i placed pretty close to the battery, but you may be right about the wiring. Its both se model and a 2020 so i guess i have to try to tap in on another wire as you say. Thanks again for answering!

      I, in fact, do know how to remove that limiter. Not to sound like a dick, but if you literally typed that question into a google search instead of a YT comment section you would have come up with this link (from a google search) that will tell you exactly how to remove the limiter. Never the less I googled it for you and here is what I found. www.moddedraptor.com/community/raptor-50-80-90-general/14156-limiter-plate.html. Happy free revving!
