How long have you been a fan? When his group Maneskin were just starting out, they were a lot less "hard rock"...they (especially Damiano) like to experiment with different things. Their earlier music in Italian includes some breathtakingly beautiful ballads. Torna a Casa and Coraline are my faves!
At first this song didn’t convince me at all. I know he’s superb live so I decided to watch this video and I must say I’m utterly in love with this version. He’s one of those artists whose songs sound even better live. I hope I can see him or Måneskin live one day ❤

You say Damiano's performance was laughable, but you don't bother saying what you don't like about it. And this comment right here - is English not your first language? To "discover" something doesn't only mean you have found something nobody had found before - in this case, it just means Maneskin and Damiano David were unknown to THEM, and watching Eurovision in 2021, they DISCOVERED them for themselves. I"d watched interviews and thought they seemed like lovely, intelligent and kind kids....but I don't generally like rock so I had several other songs I was rooting for, so when they beat ALL of them, I was actually MAD! LOL! I can't remember how many days that lasted, because I guess I checked out earlier stuff or something and within a few days I was just OBSESSED with them! 🙂

This new music from Dami is a real departure from his styles from the past but I am so passionately and particularly in love with this new expression of his vocal diversity which I find absolutely amazingly divine. This is so romantic and touching and beautiful, a whole different and wonderful sound.
