My husband and I learn so much from you! Keep doing these videos! You are super good at this and even better at explaining step-by-step instructions! Thank you so much!
A lot of work as you say is a huge understatement indeed. You are just too talented with enormous patience coupled with a good heart to share your skills! 😊. I am amazed at the brick and stone work.
Carl once again I knew this was going to be the build I was waiting for. Love it so much. You got me through 5000 steps while watching. It’s only 96° here in SoCal but I still have to walk after 11pm. lol. Thanks.
Hahah-it’s actually done now and drying in the garage. Added some fall leaves in places and water/glue mixture on the grass areas! On to the next phase!
@HalloweenVillagesbyCarl you say, that but you have more sections in the works, LOL. I will be lucky if I get my Grimsly section done. Sections 1 looks fantastic. I love the greenery you added.
It looks so good! I love watching all the pieces bring it together. And I saw 2 of your babies in the background during the video! I know it isn't a dog channel but they are so beautiful! I started setting up my lane and making a few changes from last year.
Man you work some magic. Looks great already. I don’t know if you plan to. But taking some of your fall foliage and putting in corners of steps to make it look like the wind gathered them there
Looking great, I do see how them trees made such a difference by the departments. A couple smaller ones added too would-be neat or maybe too much. Looks great as it is too.
Looks so good! Fyi.. you can paint a thin layer of resin over painted styrofoam to seal it. You're right, it's the details that make builds come to life!!! Love it!!!! What brand of hot glue gun is your favorite? I have 3 I don't particularly like.
Thanks Carl for your videos. Have you ever made a vid of the your tools that you use? I want to invest and up my skills and would love to know your go to tools :) thank you again
Carl, this is brilliant! I love your work! I went to Lowes today to look for water based spray paint. They had no idea what I was talking about. Where did you find yours? Thanks!
Fantastic ! Hey I know that tip tap of the toenails in the background …that means dinner time is near 🐕 ,y dogs start to shark at a certain hour too hahahah Hey what color did you use for the brick work ?
@@HalloweenVillagesbyCarl lol I have a shepherd and lab same thing they start “ sparking” at 530-6 Thanks I’ll try that paint combo next time I do bricks Looks fantastic can’t wait till the next episode
Hey Carl, what about painting the bases of the figurines to match your roadway and concrete or counter sink them into pavement? The white is kinda distracting!
Oh, I really like the purple and yellow flowers. It all looks very good! I love Harry Potter! It almost looks like the outside of Grimmauld Place. Two questions: for resin pours, do you put aluminum foil down as a step to make sure you have no leaks? I plaster afterwards, to make it easier to paint. Also, what so you do with your old platforms? I know you've repurposed some, but do you sell the others or throw them out?
Hello and thank you! I don’t use foil for resin-don’t think it would work. I typically recycle my displays or use them as give-aways in my live classes in my local area.
@@HalloweenVillagesbyCarl oh, cool! Thank you for answering my questions. I saw the foil technique on another channel, Miriams Manner. She puts foil down. I think she then plasters, then paints. The video is called "how to fix resin leaks", or something like that. I haven't had any leaks thanks to that method. 😁 (I have only used woodland scenics products though.)
I guess it wasn't worried right and I was trying so hard l o l. I also use adapters. I'm thinking of buying this clock and I'm wondering if it's just a thin cord. I have to feed through the attach it to an adapter
Oh…your comment was located in the Town Square video, which I suppose is why I was confused-no walkways at all in that segment. If however, you’re referring to the houses on trick-or-treat lane, then that is Dept 56 brick matting cut and glued into place.
Hi Carl. I’m trying to catch up on all your videos. You mentioned finding those mini leaves on Amazon. Please could you reply with what you searched for? The ones I’ve been finding are too big over 3”. Thanks a ton! I’m trying to collect these things to work on my 1st base well in advance. Thanks!

I would call it done, there in lies my issue LOL. But, then again, you're Carl The Village Master. Looks fantastic.

Hello! Yes, there’s a tool video on my channel!
Carl, this is brilliant! I love your work! I went to Lowes today to look for water based spray paint. They had no idea what I was talking about. Where did you find yours? Thanks!
Got mine on Amazon-they also sell it At Joanne’s
love it !!!!
Thanks!
Can u elaborate on the glue water mixture? What kind of glue? How much? I had a hard time with my grass last year.
I use PVA glue (white school glue) with a mixture of about 15% glue to 85% water. Shake it up and spray it on.
Fantastic ! Hey I know that tip tap of the toenails in the background …that means dinner time is near 🐕 ,y dogs start to shark at a certain hour too hahahah
Hey what color did you use for the brick work ?
Hahah-yep! They like their food!! Mixed red and brown for the brickwork. Highlighted with a light gray dry brush.

Hey Carl, what about painting the bases of the figurines to match your roadway and concrete or counter sink them into pavement? The white is kinda distracting!
Yep-thought about that too. May paint them at some point!
Hey Robin! 👋 Love how you are recommending Miriam's suggestions!
I agree. I’ve rehabbed a lot of Lemax ppl and painting those bases would really look good.
Thanks!
Thank you so much-I certainly appreciate you and your support. I truly hope you’re enjoying the channel!!

@obsessedwithchristmas ah….plaster is the key. Thought you were just talking about foil. I’ve used plaster without foil and works just fine.
Carl, about your clock. Does the wire leading up to the clock disconnect from the battery box?
I don’t use battery boxes for anything-I use the plug in adapters.
I guess it wasn't worried right and I was trying so hard l o l. I also use adapters. I'm thinking of buying this clock and I'm wondering if it's just a thin cord. I have to feed through the attach it to an adapter
Sorry. I want to buy this click.
I'm wondering if there is a thin wire to feed through the styrofoam and attach to an adapter.
Hi Carl, wondering are the kids in bikes Department 56?
No, Lemax!
Are the brick walkways leading up to the buildings dept 56 or lemax?
Sorry…I don’t understand the question. I made all the walkways, but if you’re referring to the buildings themselves, they’re all Dept 56??
@HalloweenVillagesbyCarl Oh I thought the little patches in front of the doors were cut and pasted
Oh…your comment was located in the Town Square video, which I suppose is why I was confused-no walkways at all in that segment. If however, you’re referring to the houses on trick-or-treat lane, then that is Dept 56 brick matting cut and glued into place.
Sorry. I watched all the videos and had about half a dozen questions after.
You answered what I wanted to know. Thank you.
What did you use for your background?
A piece of fabric from Joanne’s
Wow that black and white background really makes the colors pop!
@amandalwayman4046 for sure!!
