Hey, sorry for the audio issues in the last minute of the video. LSS, the original export from audacity didn't get the whole thing for some reason, so I had to re-export to add the old part. I was exhausted so I didn't catch it. It will be fixed when I do the re-mastered supercut. Thanks for understanding.
The Yankees of the East indeed. While they are the team everyone loves to hate and the team almost every kid in Japan wants to play for, it can't be disputed that the Tokyo Giants are the crown jewel club of Japanese baseball. Oh, Sawamura, Nagashima, Hara, Matsui, Kurosawa, Hirose, Harimoto, Starffin, Cromartie, Abe, Uehara, Sugano, Sakamoto, and so on. They are NPB's gold standard for success and its not hard to see why.
Been trying to dive into NPB since this trip I’m on in Japan right now has opened my eyes to how fun games here are. It’s incredibly hard to find English content about Japanese baseball, so I’m happy to have found your channel and will be going through all the content. Cheers
Thanks so much for your always-amazing videos! You might already know by know but “Eiji” is pronounced like “Ayjee.” Keep up the awesome work, and I can’t wait for the next video!
Yankees of the East is accurate. Their counterpart is Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. Just so happens that both teams have Sadaharu Oh involved in these two teams.

There needs to be a biopic about Starffin. What a story he had.
Buddy do I have an upcoming video for you
This was such an awesome video! As a life long SF Giants fan, this video made me proud of the Giants name.

Has anyone found the 1994 Japan Series broadcast that ran on tape delay in the USA? That'd be an amazing get as that nears its 30th anniversary.
I've been trying to find it for a while too, sadly I could only find the Japanese boradcast. Still a great final out call tho.
Who broadcast the 1994 Japan Series in the US? Was it ESPN?
I'm loving these videos on all the NPB teams, thanks for making them!!
Kurosawa's #4 is a rather powerful parallel to Lou Gehrig's #4.
They only need 5 more Japan Series championships to tie the Yankees
Well, if you count their pre-NPB titles, they technically have 31.
AMAZING LOGO TOO

Star of the Giants theme intensifies!
Wow, this team wins a lot!
Japan's team. And more beloved in Japan than the Yankees are in America.
Sore! (3x) (Cheers) (Plays Fighting Spirit)
The Team of Hideki Matsui. But I freakin hate them as a Baystars fan.
Everyone hates them lol
*laughs in 2024 Central League Championship Series*😂
Damn, this didn't age well. OOF.

I think Yankees of the east is kind of reductive. These Giants seem to have done more for NPB than the Yankees have done for MLB
DAMN GIANTS
Well yeah, they have the most money and there's no salary cap. Real lack of context here lmao
