Fun fact about Mordekaiser, He was a person so strong that he had conquered an entire continent. And when he had died, he came to the realm of the dead (afterlife) but found no Gods. And in a very short summary, the dude got so mad that he refused to let his soul wither in the afterlife and instead became essentially the God of the Dead.

He is a soul bound to an iron suit of armor. If you have ever watched Full Metal Alchemist, it is the same as Alphons Elric. Except he doesn't need the mark, it was his suit of armor in the first place. Simply bringing the pieces back together is enough for Mordekaiser to come back. This is why he reverbs so much, he is a voice coming out of the armor, and it bounces around in there.
For superiority complex, it's 100% Aurelion Sol.
Mordekaiser is a bit nihilistic while also having a huge ego (He thinks he is the best while also knowing there's no real grand destiny or meaning to anything besides what you make yourself, you are normally meant to just wither away)
He pretty much built his own afterlife.
So basically he died expecting to go to his religion's heaven but it was just an empty void of death and he learned the language spoken by the spirits and used it to manipulate some necromancers into summoning his spirit. He killed them and then made himself a new body out of metal before going on a campaign of death and carnage as he built his second empire. Eventually he died again but when he did he had killed so many that he had a massive legion of the dead waiting for him to build another empire inside the realm of death. And I'm pretty sure he left a gate to travel back to the land of the living in the middle of what is now Noxus.
He doesn't have a cinematic I would say because Mordekaiser is an og champ from the beta and went through a rework to become what you see there

Fun fact: Morde built huge castle and each brick is soul.
So a little lore: Sun Utzal (dw its him) conquered the continent and when he died he expected the gods to give him gifts for achieving so much in life and he got so angry that his soul refused to fade but he heard the other souls whisper and learned that language (Mordekaiser = Sun Utzal in that language) and he started to whisper, he got ik contact with artificers and ordered them to craft his armor and bind him to it. Then he killed them and crafted his club (Nightfall) out of there souls and ruled again. Now he is building his own empire in the realm of the dead using the souls of the people he killed and creating an army out of the strong souls. Btw he also built the immortal bastion (the center of noxus) by himself
kindred the wolf and the lamb are just the sheperds of the dead that decide if someone will die now or die later. all thoose who die by lamb and wolf are sent to mordekaiser. he is the god of the dead, not death.

If I remember right mordy is a warlord whose people had a belief that the more successful warlord in life the more they will get the favour from their god in afterlife in hall of bones. They will party, feast and fight in the realm of dead for all eternity. But then when he die he saw that there is no god of death there’s no party and feast waiting for him only oblivion where souls wandered and fade into nothing. Basically he was so pissed of that he refuse to fade away and essentially became god of death(realm of dead to be accurate) after centuries of studying the realm of death enslaving the souls. So yeah the guy became a god through sheer will power. And that iron armor is only his incarnation or avatar that he used in mortal realm, not his true body. The true body or his spirit is in the realm beyond.

You should do a brief overview of all the champs (Just look at their art, region and little paragraph blurb on the website) so you can get an idea of who is being referred to, most of the roster isn't marketable enough to be in cinematics so even though they are important to the story you will never see them. For example Swain can divine the secrets of other champs, but if you don't know who they are there won't be enough context to know what he's talking about so if you do a Swain video you'll just be confused.

As i understand the TLDR is, he was the most badass of the badasses, he literally died on a mountain of corpses and built the largest tower in the world by himself, but when he died he said "hey, theres no god of dead down here... well, dont mind if i do"

@@donmowatt I only bring up the Gameplay Trailers since they can give better insight into what some voice lines mean. For instance when Mordekaiser refers to the other realm his Ultimate is he brings an enemy with him to the Death Realm and 1v1s them. This is something you wouldn't necessarily get from just voice lines alone. But yeah, don't play league, I cannot recommend it.

I don't understand why they choose to make only one MV for Pentakill. I believe it would be as popular as KD/A if given some love from the beginning. One reason why there isn't much on him, officially, is simple. He's a world ending event. Basically, Aatrox has happened many times. His weakness is of there's no one to kill the body dies AND if you cut off the sword arm the body dies. Every single time Mord 'lived' the world ended. And it's very much assumed next time will be the last time needed to complete his control of both the dead and living. He was never defeated. He only allowed himself to die.
Yep. Even when Black Rose managed to kill him after his return as Iron Revenant the real reason why he died was because he wanted to start building his immortal bastion in the realm of dead using weakest souls as bricks for it. Now that he is done building it he just waits along with his giant army of undead for someone foolish enough to bring him back once again to dominate not just a continent but entirety of Runeterra.

Actually, according to lore, even if aatrox losses his sword arm, his body wont die, in cinematic world ender, u can see that his sword doesnt have to be in his hand all the time, also with flesh from his victims he can build new arm, like his left arm in the game. Aldo according to LOR aatrox could fight bloodweawer xolaani, kayle and ryze at the same time.
@bigbywolf5031 @bigbywolf5031 That's how Human Panth best him. His spear cleanly cut the sword arm off and Aatrox died. You forget Aatrox intruded in the body so he fights the owner as well. Also LOR is very inconsistent. What I'm referring to is actual lore for the Panths lore.

Now, in short, Mordekaiser was a human conqueror that reigned a whole continent after the Great Darkin War, when he died he thought he would be at the afterlife (Hall of Bones In his lore) and granted a seat alongside the gods, but found nothing on the afterlife except souls dissapearing, but he was too angry that he refused to fade and centuries later learned the language of the death, manage to be back in the living world but now inside an armor resembling his old armor, and forged his weapon Nightfall with the souls of his first victims, then, he conquered on his own the continent all over again, constructed the Inmortal Bastion (it even appeared on paints in Arcane) and killed hundreds of thousands with dark magic, when he was """defeated""" he returned to the afterlife but now there was no longer nothing in there, now all of the kills he did during his second conquest were expecting him at his will, with souls serving as building blocks for his reign.
He plans on return a third time once he makes his spirit untouchable, and even tho he already have the means to do it, he doesn't feel to

Swain has a lot of great voice lines and he connects to a lot of other characters stories.
A very short summary of his story...
he does this because he was "tricked" or "believed" that if he dies killing lots of people and making an empire he will have an honorable death and have a seat with the gods that he believed, but since there is none he got really angry and refuses to fade. Then one day some mages brought him back and he told the mages to bind his soul to a dark metal armor and thus "The Iron Revenant" is born. The mages summoned him and gave him powers to use him on their own wars but instead he killed them all and the mages tried to banish him but it did not work for he is a different being now... he conquered lands and crafted his mace "Nightfall" from the damned souls of the mages that he killed. After all the conquest and campaigns that he did, he built "The Immortal Bastion" which is the present capital of noxus, and the killings that he did has a reason... his own inner circle which is led by Leblanc betrayed him and banished him... but little did they know that it was all a part of his plans for when he did all those destruction and slaughter that he did while he was in the "Physical world" goes to the place where he was at before he was summoned. He plans to create a better hall of bones that he once believed and make a kingdom in the afterlife that he rules alone. Once he comes back again there is not yet any ideas of how to banish him again and many believe that when that day comes the world will come to an end...
Mordekaiser doesn't have his own realm per se but rather when he died he was so angry that the eternal glory he was promised wasn't there so he started to form weaker souls into brick and mortar to craft a kingdom in the beyond and strong souls he kept and added to his army. His lore is interesting and he's tied to a lot of characters. As for another character you should look into, I'd say check out Braum. His lore is simple but he's such a happy and fun character with his lines.

His ultimate has its own themes different on nearly every skin of his, so you easily hear the theme when you enter
Basically viego is nothing compared to mordekaiser
Tid bit of lore: mordekaiser was a tyrant/conquerer in life. He fought for the conquest of all things in hope that in doing so, he would be granted a warriors death after life. When death came though... he found that the after life was nothing more then a barren and desacrated land where souls wandered aimlessly before faiding to oblivion. Focusing his rage, he managed to force his sould to not fade, eventually entering in contact with a group of mages who were seeking to resurrect a powerfull dead for power. He managed to make them bring him back to life... promptly killing them all and forging his mace out of their souls ( might be wrong there ). hes then killed and conquered as he did in life, raising the eternal bastion(essentially noxus) until he was killed again. That second death though was planned, as he has now amassed an army on the otherside ready to conquer all of existence if necessary. The shadow isle and all of viegos power are essentially a grain of sand compared to what he holds
Does that mean he's immune to kindred? Because they're just gonna send him back to oblivion/afterlife and he can just go back to material realms cuz he own the afterlife

Funny thing you should say about Aatrox and Mordekaiser being friends. In the community there is a friendly rivalry between the two (head cannoned) to see who is the more powerful "Raid Boss" type character. But in lore they're not friends

It's been stated but a bit of his lore. He was a tyrant and warlord in life and was beyond the realm of strong. He built the Immortal Bastion ( Present day Noxius is built upon the Immortal Bastion) and was it's ruler. When he died, he found no gods in the realm of death, this made him extremely angry and so he basically became the god of the realm of death. His soul is still trapped in the Immortal Bastion to this day just waiting to be freed and he does know what is going on outside in the world. His lines to LeBlanc were because LeBlanc was there and betrayed him when he was still alive and was pivotal to his death.

Mordekaiser was a Warlord by the name of Sahn'Uzal, his very name bringing fear to the hearts of his enemies. Upon his 1st death he traversed to the realm of the Dead(completely different from the Shadow Isles), and was left disgusted by the fading of souls, after a millenia he learned the language of the dead and traversed back to Runeterra with the aide of dark mages, after having them forge his current armor, he killed them then crafted his mace(Nightfall) from their very souls. Every victim he killed became a building block or soldier in the Death Realm awaiting their master's return. The area that Mordekaiser conquered twice(once in life, and once in undeath), is now the regions of Noxus and Demacia, with his stronghold being the Immortal Bastion (which is now the heartland of the Noxian empire).
The Black Rose(mentioned in his voice lines/lore)'s main purpose is subterfuge and puppeteering from the shadows. LeBlanc(leader of the Black Rose) basically is creating super soldiers to try and contain Mordekaiser for when he inevitably returns to Runeterra for the 2nd time(twice slain, Thrice born). In game his Ultimate skill is called Death Realm, and its a glimpse of the realm he rules from beyond the grave

But when he awoke in the afterlife, there was nothing but fog. Fog and the faded souls of the dead wandering aimlessly, adrift for the rest of time. His rage was immense, how could the hall of bones be denied to him? He came to realize that there was no Hall of Bones, there was no afterlife, there was nothing... but fog. He began to listen, to understand the language of the dead, Ochnun, and began calling out across the endless plains, his voice echoing even into the land of the living. Decades, possibly centuries after his death, someone called back.
A cabal of sorcerers heard the Warlord's call, and together they worked to bring Sahn Uzal back to life to serve as their war-machine. They built a mighty iron figure in the likeness of Sahn Uzal's old armor and pulled the warlord's soul into it. But when they called his name (Names are important for magic. Not specified how but they are) to command him, he laughed and tore them apart. For his name was no longer Sahn Uzal. Now twice born, the Iron Reavenant now bore the name Mordekiaser.
His second life would have seemed similar to his first to anyone on the outside, for he set about conquering and slaughtering all before him as he had before. But with new purpose. He now wielded powerful necromantic magics. From the souls of the mages who had summoned him he forged his titanic mace Nightfall. Everywhere he went he collected ancient magics, knowledge, artifacts and the like. For centuries his conquest continued, he became the greatest well of magic knowledge Runeterra had ever seen, and his power kept on growing. He raised a mighty citadel at the heart of his empire, The Immortal Bastion. To this day it stands as not only the capital of Noxus, but the single largest structure on the face of the planet.
He gained many enemies on his centuries long campaign, but when his downfall came it was from his own inner circle. A secret cult called the Black Rose formed a plan to separate Mordekaiser's soul from his armor, and eventually they succeeded, casting him back to the land of the dead, the warlord Twice Slain. When he opened his eyes once more he smiled, for this was a vital part of his plan. Every person he had killed, every single soul was there waiting for him, ready to serve their true lord. From the souls of his comrades in his first life he forms his personal honor guard, from the mighty opponents he forms his vast armies. But even the weak and powerless are given purpose. They become the brick of mortar of his Afterworld and from them he builds a fortress city worthy of the King of the Dead, its name Mitna Raknun. At last he stands amidst his completed work, a mighty throne before him. He calls Nightfall to his hand and shatters the throne, the souls forming it returned to nothing. After all, what need has he of a throne, he who knows not the exhaustion and weakness of flesh.
He turns around, looking through his mighty hall, the souls of mighty warriors standing ready to serve their lord. He hefts Nightfall to his shoulder and strides forth. Thus, his Final Reign begins.
On Runeterra centuries have passed and thought his armor still sits in the heart of the Immortal Bastion, his name has passed into legend. His name is remembered unkindly by the few ancient souls who knew him, and their greatest fear is the day he finds a way to truly return, The Warlord Thrice Born. For when that day comes, they know of no way to stop him.
Mordekiaser is League of Legends' Lich King, their Sauron, their Big, Scary, Death-Magic wielding, Evil Overlord with big spiky armor and an unreasonably large weapon. He's a simple character to understand, and his motivations, while interesting, are not complex. He's going to kill you, take your soul and turn it into a brick in the afterlife. End of story. Kindred is the embodiment of the concept of "end", even if you are immortal u cant run from it. All characters in the game that are "immortal" actually just have a very long lifespan as the gray man says "everything comes to an end"
Sahn Uzal is a translation from a Semitic language which Sahn means Fortress and Uzal means wandering. So Sahn Uzal (his Human name) means Wandering Fortress. Mordekaiser is his current name from the language of the dead (because he killed so much in his last stand and his conquest), Morde means Kill and Kaiser means Emperor and these are from German language.
There's a lot of iron types, for example would be that Darius' weapon and armor are made from black iron which is nearly indestructible
13:18 it might be because morde is defeted by only 2 or 3 other champions (Aurelion Sol, Fiddlesticks and possibly aatrox but that fight would be a few thousands years)

Youll have to read the lore cause the tødr doesnt do it justice, long story short he conquered the world beliving it would lead him to a «valhalla» like afterlife, but realised there was only emptynesa lost souls and whipsers when he died. He then got rather angry, feeling deceived by the gods and managed to get some wizards to summon him back to the living world promising to give them power, but when they summoned him he killed them, made a mace from their dead bodies and conquered to world again knowing everyone he killed would get sent back to the deathrealm he was sent to before, therefore «claiming them». Later on he gets tricked by leblanc and others and once again gets banish back to his death realm, and his kingdom in the living world later ended up becoming noxus which is why hes a bit angry with them. Suuuper tldr hes the lord of the dead, he has no enemies all will be claimed
This is also why he looks down on characters like kindred or shadow iles characters as kindred is death itself and the spirits in the shadow iles are one a weak version of the power morde has, hes the king of the deathrealm itself
fun fact, mordekaiser made the Immortal bastion which is his base of operation with the souls of the weak. if you dont have a great and powerful soul he might as well turn you into a brick and make a tower out of fellows likewise

riot is actually making a league open world mmo im hyped considering all the lore and champions and who knows maybe they take that idea and use it for a mordekaiser bossfight or if they make him a raidboss and he pulls the party to his soul realm where he has his immortal bastion and undead army

@@donmowatt ty buddy, the case is that the real story of mord you will find it in the history of Asians , he was a Very strong warrior and a god believer yet when he died his soul got traped between life and death, he was thinking that when he gonna die he will meet god in haven because he was a strong believer and he fights for the name of god,
anyways a long story short the black magic ppl tried to summon himso he can fight in their side and actully somehow they did it , that's not the case the case is when he came into this world again he wants his own kingdom , that's why he have a lot of quotes such as :
-The worldhas tried to forget my existence time to remind them why they fear.
-No mortals not even god could stop me from claiming what is mine.( because all the army of black magic tried to kill him because he wants his own thing)

The entire city of Noxus is built around the largest construction on Runeterra, The Immortal Bastion. Mordekaiser's palace from when he was alive.
He says everything as if its pre-ordained which makes it that much more intimidating. Like it matters not if you fight or run in the end you are all his anyway.

Idk if this will warrant a response or not, but just some good info for those who aren't aware, "Death" sort of has three primary figures, there is Kindred which brings all to it's end, and hunts down those who refuse to stay ended as well, there is the second Death of the Etherfiend, which comes for those who are forgotten. Then there is the once mortal Mordekaiser, who conquered the Lands which the "ended" reside, before they are taken by the Etherfiend, hoarding those he believes are most worthy, to eventually conquer the world of the living.
Mordekaiser doesn't need Orn to repair his armor. After all he was a good blacksmith when he was alive.

From the sounds of it, he owns his own realm where the bounded servants suffer and work for him like hell. Even his appearance resembles a devil with the two things sticking from his head looking like horns. That’s my first impression of him though… I don’t know much of his lore
