Ive been watching your channel for years and i just want to say how crazy it is that youre really doing it. Congratulations man. This is some real professional shit you got going on.
I just picked up a 2024 Black Passport Trailsport it's exactly what I wanted, V6 9 spd ,2 row..I'm in Canada 🇨🇦, the Canadian model has some differences...no power folding mirrors, no pull up window covers in the back but it does have mud flaps, heated rear seats with the climate control in the back, watching you from north of Toronto Canada 🇨🇦
Just bought a white trailsport today for wifey.(she is the moneymaker so i did not buy it for her i just had influence lol) I have a 2023 ridgeline sport. She had a 2021 crv sport. Lookin forward to the 9 speed vtech 280hp
2:10 I find this comment especially interesting because the smaller turbo engines are great specifically FOR low end torque, whereas in a naturally aspirated engine you need the revs to do work.
I think he meant throttle response instead of low end torque. The turbo 4 crossovers have a little lag before they get going and the NA 6 is more immediate. It has to be that because you’re right, low end torque is where the turbo 4 shines compared to this.
The infotainment and dashboard are one generation behind, so I can only assume a second generation Passport (if we aren't counting the Isuzu rebadge as "first gen") will be making its debut in the near future.
I see Honda went back to 18" wheels for the Passport, less chance of rim damage for the rest of us that off-road a lot! nothing wrong with the 9 speed transmission, maybe the aftermarket will come up with a shift program.
When you said thst the v6 doesn't get ss good mpg. I chuckled a bit. I have currently a 4.2L inline 6 gmc envoy, i get 12 to 14 mpg city lol so 22mpg I'd take that! Lol
We are seriously looking at this but we arent doing off road driving so the Trailsport is unnecessary for us. The black Edition is way too expensive. We are going to Test drive the Mazda cx70 soon so we shall be getting one or the other.
I don’t off road either but bought the Trailsport. The taller sidewall, makes a smoother ride if you live in a place with winter like I do it really smoothes things out.
Absolutely awesome news. Count me in. I'll be there. It's Bobby from Elizabeth, New Jersey. I passed my green 1999 Honda CR-V onto the sister in law but replaced it with a duplicate silver 1997 silver Crv. The 2,000 mile trip is going to be cool.
It will lower the height of the hatch area, as has happened in the new Pilot, the new HRV, the new CRV. Reduces practicality. Putting it differently, the hatch height area of the new Pilot is less than 30" on the sides, and barely hits 30" in the center (I actually measured it, to make sure, before eliminating it from my list). A 31" tall full-size dog crate will not fit, unlike in the case of the current Passport or the older HRV. I am certain the new Passport will follow the trend of the others, and lower the hatch practicality.
A V6? Beautifully refreshing and resonant.
ikr. and no cvt. we must be in a dream.
I really like the looks of that, it looks big, but in a small way.
Best comment lol@@jpm1544
The Toyota 2.4 turbo isn't really any more efficient in the Highlander.

6:15 - THIS is where the market needs more options. There aren't enough 2-row mid-sized options.

Long live the J series V6. Got an 07 Pilot with (pretty much) the same engine and still runs like a champ even at 158k miles.
Me too. 2007 EXL with 189k. My knock sensor just went bad and the timing belt will be due soon but, I still really enjoy the vehicle…
29mpg for highway is pretty good but make sure u do an accurate cufiguration otherwise the screen is not accurate.
I just bought a 24 passport trail sport diffused sky blue pearl color love it

It will get the new design language from the Pilot and CR-V.
Love the car but hate the button shifters so much!
I think the NA 2.0 civic with the manual will end up being the most reliable Honda of their current lineup
Very cool! Honda Infotainment is fantastic

It’s a bit expensive but this is definitely one of my top choices for an awd suv
Nice I’d def upgrade my CRV to this if we had it in the UK ticks all the box’s for me

If it had a manual transmission it would be perfect
These are going to fly off the sales lot faster than cabbage patch dolls did in 1983.
I was dead set on a cx-5 until I started looking at passports now I don’t know which to get!
Passport!

This might be my next car
Get it before they get rid off the V6 engine and 9 speed tranny,
like every auto maker it's doing
My mom just got a black sport and gave me her 2019 CRV exl 😱
the honda passport would probably make for a very good police car
Zack, are you having any meet ups, cars & coffee or rally meets in 2024 ?
I’m hosting a cruise on June 9th here in Illinois that I will be posting about very soon!

Rocking out to Weird Al Yankovic there, nice!
I mean, the Pilot has a newer platform, bigger, gets the same gas mileage and starts out cheaper.
Bro your audio is so quiet
Cool 👍 car look great
Waiting for the 25
This is the correct answer. I think it will look more like the Pilot/CR-V and have the 10-speed Honda-built transmission.
Hope for the 2025 they don't put a 4 cyl Turbo with CVT like every other automaker it's doing

11:18 - The CX-50 is a CR-V competitor. 🤨 The upcoming CX-70 is the Mazda alternative, and that seems poised to be far better than this Passport.
I love Honda, but the looks on these passports aren't for me, would rather the pilot. But in this segment, 4runner will be always the answer for me.
I would not buy anything with the finicky ZF 9 speed
Brian_Eugene_Lee Shifting constantly, can’t make up its mind, and there have been issues with it in the odyssey also
@Brian_Eugene_Lee Dog Clutches, Dawg.
The 2024 Passport is my second vehicle with the "finicky" 9-speed. Works for me like a charm.
I would go for the Pilot or next-gen Passport when it gets the Honda-built 10 speed. I would not recommend the ZF9.
0:37 - 🤮 What is this brand doing? The Pilot finally looks decent for the first time in its 20-year history. Why does the Passport have to be hideous?
I think this will be the last year for the swollen tick look. Most likely next year we see one that looks more like the Pilot.
@@user-gq2vn1xj2rSwollen Tick?!? I just bought the Trailsport. Now I'm never getting that vision out of my head. Thanks
It really is just a Transport lol.
2024? Looks more like 2015
Hod a couple of Hondas. Reliable and boring.
