I had an unmedicated birth last year and recommend a birthing comb! I literally just used a comb I had laying around- helped so much to squeeze during those hard contractions! Going unmedicated was the best and I can’t wait to do it again one day! You got this, mama!
Same I did this with my second baby and it helped me so much to have control over the pain! Got to the hospital and they told me I was ready to push as soon as I got there! No medications and made me focus on something other than the pain so totally recommend the comb!!
Good luck and congratulations! Not a physical item, but postpartum, remember to be kind and patient with yourself! Your body is doing amazing, wonderful things to bring you and Dakota the most wonderful gift- and you deserve to give yourself grace and love if you still have a bump for some time- all bodies are beautiful & it’s perfectly normal to not ‘bounce back’ right away! 💙💙
Just birthed my 10lb 8oz baby boy at home. Unmedicated. You got this mama! I love that you have decided to go to a birth center. Deep breathing through those contractions and any pains will help a ton in pain management. You can do anything for a minute and those hard contractions typically only last that long. Relaxing every part of your body during contractions helps your body work with the contractions. Tensing fights against the contractions. Pushing with the contractions and stopping when they stop goes so far in keeping from tearing. My boy was BIG. I experienced NO tearing down there! Keep communicating with your midwife, doula, and especially Dakota. Also let yourself be in the zone. Push like your pooping! That's exactly how it feels!! Don't be afraid of it. I just know you are gonna do beautifully! You are so well prepared! Physically and mentally. So excited for you!
12:48 tell me why I teared up thinking of y'all driving home with your baby and Dakota wearing that hat! Sending y'all so much love and blessings in this exciting and new time.
I’d recommend waiting on the pacifier until after baby boy’s latch is nice and secure and you’re both comfortable with breastfeeding. Wishing you a smooth delivery! Baby boy is already so lucky to have you as his mommy!
Oh my goodness, I just got the feeling that you are going to name your baby Jackson. It truly is such a great name that is so strong. Even if you don’t name him Jackson I know that you guys have picked out the most perfect name for him. I am praying for a calm, peaceful and truly memorable in the best way birth for your beautiful baby boy. Love your family so very much! Thank you for bringing so much joy to my everyday just by sharing your lives with all of us! ❤
think about it we have been waiting so long for baby boy to come and now he can come any day now!!! i love brooklyn and bailey. brooklyn is gonna be the best mom and bailey is gonna be the best aunt ♥️♥️
7:13 you can also look into collecting colostrum!! I highly recommend if you are able! I was able to have them use my collected colostrum after birth when they were stitching me up!
Witch hazel is great to put into your pads. Made some padsicles for my daughter when she had our grandbaby. Put some clear aloe gel and witch hazel in a pad, fold it up and throw it in a gallon baggie in the freezer ready to go for potty trips. Make a hand full ahead of time to keep your vaheinie feeling better. Many blessings for a happy birth💙💙💙
If you have any trouble learning to swaddle with a blanket, you can buy swaddles that look like a little cotton sleeping bag with pieces that you wrap around the sides of their body and secure with velcro. Best invention ever!
Second time mom at 38 weeks: bring a comb for gate pain management, it's surprisingly helpful. Also bring a separate wet bag for your clothes that you'll be going to the birthing center in and during delivery. Things can get super gross super fast lol
A SOUND MACHINE 👏🏻👏🏻 Resting postpartum is hard enough in an unfamiliar place especially with all the nighttime checks/interruptions. Very nice to have a familiar background noise
As a momma of 3 that Perry bottle is going to be your best friend 🤣👏 Congratulations Brooklyn welcome to motherhood 💕 God bless you and your beautiful family ❤️🙏
Mom of 3, have had both c-section and VBAC deliveries. My biggest recommendation is to have a birth bag, and a postpartum bag. Leave the postpartum bag in the car and have your partner go get it once you know you're definitely having the baby that day. That way you're not lugging everything into the hospital/birth center for any false alarms, or if they make you switch rooms like they did with me. Also, I don't believe in bringing too much stuff. I "overpacked" with my first, and then thought I was smarter during my second delivery, so I packed light...then we ended up having an unexpected NICU stay and I ran out of clothes for me and for him! Better to be prepared.
Same here. Be prepared for everything, and also be prepared for changing your mind in case of need. Just gave birth 1 day ago. 27 hours of stress, pain and doubts. Baby went to the NICU. It has been stressful and painfully unexpected. So I would say, be prepared and everything will be alright.
Something fun I did was I bought two of the same outfits. One in newborn size and one for when my daughter turned one years old. We took a picture of her first time home then took a picture with the same outfit when she turned one. It is one of our treasured pictures. 🙂
If you’re going to breastfeed I’d bring a boppy pillow definitely helped me with feeds. I cannot wait til you announce that lil man is here. He’s going to be so cute and have the best parents.
Brooklyn I seriously had a dream last night that you had already had the baby and he was huge!!!! I even remember that you shared the name and that it was so cute. But I can remember the name anymore haha. Anyways, as a mom of 2 and long time listener I wish you the best of luck with labor, delivery and breastfeeding. You got this! ❤
Hey Brooklyn! I loved your video about what's in your hospital bag! I'm definitely feeling the nesting vibes too. Packing for every scenario is such a smart move! Have you thought about adding any specific snacks for post-delivery energy? Can't wait to hear more about your journey!
Alllll the feels! So excited for you. Having a lactation consultant is such a great idea. They helped me so much, especially emotionally. Breastfeeding is amazing but it's also so normal to doubt yourself before your milk comes in and if it feels like a struggle. You have so many awesome things along! I hope it goes really well for you.
throw in a white t-shirt for Dakota in case they are willing to put footprints on it for Daddy!! Also, I had a long labor and showered making me change my gown! Just a couple of ideas.
I love the Frida mom cooling liners and I even put their healing cooling foam on top and then the diaper. It was so nice and cooling on that sensitive area!
Even though this is my second pregnancy ( I went into labor early and was not prepared at all) so I find this video very informative and great ideas! I’ll be making a list and adding some of your items to my list!
The heating pad was soooo useful for me during labor it feels great on your back. Also the ice packs to put down there feel amazing after labor and helps so much with the pain and stinging
If you do choose to use a dummy (pacifier) don’t allow them to sleep with the dummy on the cord as it can get caught around neck and cause strangulation. You got this!
Your own grippy socks!! As well as a birthing comb. While my birth was medicated. My baby was sunny side up and I was FEELING it lol. It helped me more than I would’ve imagined!! And extra padsickles!!!
I definitely took my big water bottle and okra water as well bc it makes you slippery down there and helped me last time so it helps to make the delivery more smooth
It’s normal for it to take several days for your milk to come in! Colostrum is golden and it’s all baby needs during that time… wanted to mention that because I know you packed formula as back up if your milk took days to come in. That’s normal!!! Wishing you the best!!! ❤
My research said to wait to give a binky after breastfeeding is established 😊I started to give my baby (born Oct 2024) a pacifier about 6-8 weeks after birth. And it was a slow introduction as well.
Ok firstly so glad you’re bringing that fan, I brought mine and it was a lifesaver! Second we waited a month to establish a good latch before introducing paci but if you’re gonna bottle feed you can probably introduce right away.
Brooklyn&Bailey i really like watching your videos on your TH-cam channel Brooklyn I really like that you did TH-cam video of what is in your hospital bag of what you packed for Labor Day, delivery& for baby boy
Yayyy another video with Brooklyn!!! Was kinda nervous the last one was going to be the last video. Can’t wait to meet the little guy soon! Seeing you enter your mom era has been so cool especially as I think about becoming one myself! Praying your labor and delivery go well!❤
Lol don’t judge but squatty potty. I brought it for my second and it was a game changer. They don’t call the toilet “dilation station” for nothing. My doula kept me on it and it really helps labor progress. But ow lol Also sound machine. We used the Hatch with our first so we brought one to the hospital for our second and it was great for her to be used it and it was also nice to dim the lights and use white noise to set the mood.
Dear Brooklyn, Your birth should be so beautiful and peaceful sending you so much courage! 🙏💕 You’re well prepared! ❤️ The pain is so manageable when your mind is focused on being calm and knowing the pain isn’t beyond what you can handle. Best of luck and feel good enjoy the last few days and nights of life as a family of 2! You’ll only grow from here ☺️ Love, A mom of 2 sweethearts that melt my heart every day of being their mom!
I'd recommend bringing more nappies than you think you'll need. Both of my boys messed up their hoing home outfits and myself, and a spare shirt for both of you helps. Lots of wipes, the more the better.
Hey girls❤ i saw your stories yesterday and i’m guessing baby boy will come on January 28!! I’m wishing a great birth! A great experience for you and Dakota. Safe delivery❤❤
It’s so insane how less than a year ago she posted her what ins my Everest bag, no one knowing how now it’s a hospital bag. Blessings to you and your family 🥹❤️
By having a diaper bag, you’re already doing better than I did! We went to our baby’s first appointment 2 days after he was born, and they asked us to change him and I realized we brought literally nothing except for the baby LOL. You’ll do great! And the mistakes you make will just become funny memories!!
So excited for you guys! One thing I wish I packed was a large towel. Not sure about your specific birthing center, but the ones at my hospital were so tiny and uncomfortable. Good luck you’re gonna do amazing!
Make sure Dakota watches this that way he knows what is in each bag so he can find what you need when you’re in labor!
What I used the most while laboring was a headband, it kept the hair out of my eyes and made it a bit more comfortable
Definitely a headband is needed
I had an unmedicated birth last year and recommend a birthing comb! I literally just used a comb I had laying around- helped so much to squeeze during those hard contractions! Going unmedicated was the best and I can’t wait to do it again one day! You got this, mama!
I also recommend this! It can "trick" your brain into focusing on pain elsewhere!
This was a life saver for my unmediated birth too!
Same I did this with my second baby and it helped me so much to have control over the pain! Got to the hospital and they told me I was ready to push as soon as I got there! No medications and made me focus on something other than the pain so totally recommend the comb!!

Hair combs during labor are a life saver!

I pray you have a safe delivery! May the little man and mama be healthy through out!
Loved the video, Brooklyn! You are going to do great in delivery! Praying for a safe, healthy labor and baby boy!!

praying for a safe and healthy delivery for you and baby boy🩵🩵🩵
Ahh I’m so excited for the baby to come you guys are going to be great parents
Wishing you a safe and healthy baby.
You definitely want a nursing pillow! Have the lactation consultant teach you what position to do using the pillow.

I brought a few snacks- most of them with lots of protein!
Don't forget phone chargers.😊
@@BrooklynAndBailey You brought? As in past tense?? ;) ;)
Thank you for filming this. I’m due the same time and have been nesting like crazy. I hope I packed everything but we will see. Live and learn.
Alllll the feels! So excited for you. Having a lactation consultant is such a great idea. They helped me so much, especially emotionally. Breastfeeding is amazing but it's also so normal to doubt yourself before your milk comes in and if it feels like a struggle.

I am so excited for you, Bailey!
It’s Brooklyn?
throw in a white t-shirt for Dakota in case they are willing to put footprints on it for Daddy!! Also, I had a long labor and showered making me change my gown! Just a couple of ideas.
Not Bailey knowing right when u needed her to show us your green pjs, twin telepathy frfr!
I love the Frida mom cooling liners and I even put their healing cooling foam on top and then the diaper. It was so nice and cooling on that sensitive area!
Tucks cooling pads, dermoplast pain relief spray, and those secret diapers, life savers for me and down there after 2!
Horse onesie for baby boy welcome home outfit is so cute!!!!!!!!❤
Even though this is my second pregnancy ( I went into labor early and was not prepared at all) so I find this video very informative and great ideas! I’ll be making a list and adding some of your items to my list!
Binkys are recommended because they help reduce the risk of sids. Both of mine only used it to fall asleep and then spit it out.
My boys took Binkies in the hospital! Also the Tommee Tippee ultra light ones are the ONLY ones my EBF babies would take.
The heating pad was soooo useful for me during labor it feels great on your back. Also the ice packs to put down there feel amazing after labor and helps so much with the pain and stinging
I didn’t even think of ice packs but that’s a great idea!
Highly recommend making a list and putting it on the inside of your door to car or on fridge. Just because you may forget something in the chaos.
I definitely took my big water bottle and okra water as well bc it makes you slippery down there and helped me last time so it helps to make the delivery more smooth
Take a boppy pillow (or similar) to prop the baby on for nursing. It's a life saver
Try to wait a few days once you’ve established a latch to introduce pacifiers and bottles! That’s what I did!! Sending prayers!!!
Praying for a healthy baby boy
I’m so excited for this baby to come out I have been here since the very start! 💙 I love you guys so much! ❤
Pack a folder for paperwork. Paperwork seems to come at random times, and you will be spent once baby comes. A folder will keep you organized.
It’s normal for it to take several days for your milk to come in! Colostrum is golden and it’s all baby needs during that time… wanted to mention that because I know you packed formula as back up if your milk took days to come in. That’s normal!!! Wishing you the best!!! ❤

Congrats again Brooklyn! Praying for a safe birth and healthy baby. So excited for you to be a mother soon! ❤️
I’m so excited to meet baby boy ❤, Hoping for a fast and safe delivery Brooklyn 🫶
That fan will work great for the stroller in the texas summer walks too!
I am so excited for you and Dakota! ❤ something else for you bag that I don’t know if you mentioned, phone chargers!!
So ready to see you become a mom!!
Ok firstly so glad you’re bringing that fan, I brought mine and it was a lifesaver! Second we waited a month to establish a good latch before introducing paci but if you’re gonna bottle feed you can probably introduce right away.
So excited!!
Happy to see this so I can prep my bag too 💕
An extra long phone charger and hair ties!! 😊
Brooklyn&Bailey i really like watching your videos on your TH-cam channel Brooklyn I really like that you did TH-cam video of what is in your hospital bag of what you packed for Labor Day, delivery& for baby boy
Hi! You are going to be the best mom ever! I have watched you grow so much! Love you guys!! ❤
Good luck if you don't come back next week! I had a mid-January baby; embrace the coziness!

Woop woop baby coming any day now, how exciting 😁
Hey Brooklyn! Another note on the snacks…is stay away from anything red so if you puke no one worries that it’s blood.
I love that you two are always just in each other’s houses lol ready to pop. Open the door anytime.😂
I promise one of the most treasured outfits will be babies first outfit even more then going home
Brooklyn your makeup looks absolutely so super pretty! 😍
Another recommendation that was helpful was an extra long phone charger.
You’re going to do great! God Bless
Lol don’t judge but squatty potty. I brought it for my second and it was a game changer. They don’t call the toilet “dilation station” for nothing. My doula kept me on it and it really helps labor progress. But ow lol

I have been watching from Toronto since the early 2020s; congrats on your baby boy, Brooklyn! 💕
Dear Brooklyn,
Your birth should be so beautiful and peaceful sending you so much courage! 🙏💕
You’re well prepared! ❤️
The pain is so manageable when your mind is focused on being calm and knowing the pain isn’t beyond what you can handle.

Early!!! So excited for the new baby!!!!!
Wishing you and your baby lots of good health! ❤
Wishing you nothing but Good luck! We all can’t wait for you to introduce baby boy to the world ❤
I'd recommend bringing more nappies than you think you'll need. Both of my boys messed up their hoing home outfits and myself, and a spare shirt for both of you helps. Lots of wipes, the more the better.
Under a minute! 👇 Also love you Brooklyn! I’m so excited for you and your family! ❤️
So excited to meet baby boy!!!
Hope you have a safe delivery!!
Will you be videoing the birth?

Hey Brooklyn I would switch the hair clip for a flat one!
love you guys so much. looking forward to brooklyn having her first child. been watching you guys since you first started youtube 🥰🥰☺️
It’s cute because if you listen to certain songs during labor then whenever you hear them you will think of the baby ❤
Hope you guys have a safe and happy delivery ❤😊😊😊🎉😇🙂🙃
Congratulations Brooklyn I can't not wait to see this beautiful baby boy ❤🎉😢
So excited for you guys! One thing I wish I packed was a large towel. Not sure about your specific birthing center, but the ones at my hospital were so tiny and uncomfortable. Good luck you’re gonna do amazing!
WHY AM I JUST NOW PUTTING TOGETHER THAN HAIR BY MINDY IS YOUR MOMS BRAND OMGGGGGGGG
A comb to squeeze for pain during labor. My best friend gave birth without a epidural And she said that comb was so helpful.
Oh my goodness! Swear by the Just Ingredients electrolytes! Went through soooo much of that when I was in labor!
You got this mama!!
Consider bringing baby nail trimmers. I didn’t, and my baby scratched his face up because his nails were long. Or those hand mittens.
The hospital bag looks absolutely so super cute! 🥺
