Removing the IPv6 binding from the network card does not change the ping at all because it has nothing to do with the version of the Internet Protocol (IPv4 or IPv6). The Internet Protocol is used to address packets, and the ping is also measured using ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol). The major contributors to delay in packet networks are propagation delay (i.e., the speed of light in fiber), queuing delay, and serialization delay (the time it takes to write packets to the wire). These factors are independent of the IP protocol version.
Games don't use Ipv6 tho, so disabling it wouldn't help, unless your Isp configure your connection where you always connect using the IPV6 first then it converts to v4, so in that case taking off your V6 would help. hench the reason it only helped 60 percent of players, my Isp does the conversion, I had a chat with them a while ago to change it. because I want my Ipv6, it's used for most Streaming platform. I would contact your ISP and not disable your Ipv6.
@@yefale1777 Then I would contact your ISP get them to make the Ip's separate and not let the Ipv6 convert to v4, for example, Games only use Ipv4, so there is no need for the Ipv6 to even try to connect to a V4 service. like what's happening is your Ipv6 is connecting to that game server then convert to your v4 that's where the extra latency comes in. Like I notice it in Overwatch One years ago, I'm connecting to the same dedicate servers and one match my ping is 70, then 80, then 90.
@@Vyrgo64 let's say you like playing Music like I do, while gaming, your Ipv4 will run the games and the V6 would handle the Streaming Music, so you wouldn't lag/Have Ping spikes in your games, But, to be clear if you have Spotify that wouldn't in any way affect your Ping, as it doesn't use much bandwidth, but let's say you use TH-cam like I do, and only run your Ipv4, it can cause ping spikes, as Steaming uses all available bandwidth to buffer the stream.

Yes you can do that, but you will have to log in your Router and disable the option from there, as well as you saw in the video the guy has QoS enabled (Quality of Service) which is really good to get a lower ping, so you can enable it from your Router settings, you don't need a pc cuz you can log in with your phone, you just have to know the username and password (manual from your ISP must show).
open the Control Panel. [by searching it in the window search] Open Network and Internet. Open Network and Sharing Center. Click Change Adapter Settings. [itll be on the right] Right-click your connection and go to Properties. Uncheck the box next to Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) to disable it. [as he did in the video]
I get teleported back to places I've already been in (even though I've moved away from there) and I did this. I still freeze and even when I hold move I get teleported back to where I've been. Anyone got a way for this to stop happening or is this just my internet serivce?
i havent tried it myself on Valorant, but possibly! It's worth giving it a shot then if it doesn't benefit simply revert back by checking the setting again

No, you need IPv4. IPv6 is normally used Asia, but in NA and Europe IPv4 is more common.

It's not necessarily safer. IPv4 is normally still used in NA and Europe, but in Asia IPv6 is used more.
