Shure BLX14/B98 T11 Lavalier same problem. Loud hiss even with the awkward transmitter dial turned to maximum. My Røde Newsshooter set is much quieter, as is a cheapo 5.3 GHz plug-in set. Working but unsatisfactory.
I bought the wireless mic model BLX1 H9. im having trouble to get it to work. i have it connected and on the right channel but it keeps cutting off while im performing? Can anybody help me or what should I do?
To ensure that you’re using a clean frequency, first perform a Group scan using the BLX4 receiver. This is done simply by pressing the “Group” button, and the receiver should select the best Group and Channel automatically - “A1” or “C3,” as examples. Use the Group and Channel buttons inside the transmitter’s battery compartment to program it to the same Group and Channel as the receiver. At this point, you should see a “Ready” light on the BLX4 receiver. We recommend direct line-of-sight between the transmitter and receiver, so make sure that the path isn’t blocked by any metal objects, walls, or a crowd of people. Usually, this will allow the wireless system to work at its best. If setting a new frequency and changing the location of the receiver do not improve the performance, please contact our Applications team to troubleshoot this further.
I’ve done all that but do you think that my in ear monitor system have to do something with the signal? I have them both together on the rack. I will let you know I will try to take away the in ear system if it doesn’t work either way I will contact for more info. Thank you shure.
The in-ear monitor system absolutely could be interfering with the BLX receiver. We recommend separating in-ear transmitter antennas and microphone receiver antennas by at least ten feet.
When I hold the channel button for 5 seconds as indicated, all that happens is the channel number changes, blinks once, then goes away. No gain attenuation. Happens on both BLX2 transmitters. Anyone have advice? I am making full contact with the channel button for over 5 seconds.
Question: I don't know if I'm doing something wrong...But after following the steps given, and accessing the -10db settings it changes the channel too. ie. I set db level to 5. then hold for 5sec and I'm no longer on channel 1...I'm on channel 5.

I’ve got a higher noise from the mic, even when using headroom, good cables and a symmetrical mixer input, others also received the same problem🤔
This video is very helpful with setting up and assisting the product.
Glad you found it helpful!
