Totally! For me it was more about the fun to open these packs, I already mastered the Japanese set so didn’t really need anything special :-)
I got blastoise full art ex and pikachu illustration art. Pretty disappointed ngl
I can understand. The Pikachu illustration rare is a beautiful card though and I believe a good long time hold.
I just got back into the hobby and just opened one of those boxes it was fun. Ill have to get another for collection.. i didnt think about buying two like you do i think thats a good idea. I ordered a etb of silver tempest.. do you think thats a good box to hold onto since it is the last year for rainbow cards?
Good to hear you had fun cracking this box open :-) This is how I enjoy the hobby the most. When it comes to the ETB, I’ll give you my opinion but please keep in mind I’m not an investor.
Over time the booster boxes have more upward movement than ETBs so if you have the funds and believe in the set, I’d say get a silver tempest booster box to hold onto and have fun cracking that ETB open praying for a Lugia alt :-)
To be honest I’ve personally never been a big fan of rainbow cards so I’m quite happy to see them gone xD
@@PokeNickinJapan right on, i wont blame anyone for anything. As its all my choice. So dont worry about that. I will get some booster boxes to put away for the furture. Im just seeing all the new cards and the artwork is wild. It has changed so much from the the base set of cards.
It did change! And even if the nostalgia hits every single time I see a base set Charizard or a Fossil Gengar, if we are being objective nowadays artworks are way better in so many ways. So it’s good to see that the hobby is moving in the right direction artistically speaking :-)
@@PokeNickinJapan yeah i agree. The full card artwork now is just on a different level. Although the older holo cards just have that cool old school look to them. Do you use anything to protect your booster boxes?
Yea, I’m using magnetic acrylic cases which I get on Amazon. It’s a bit costly but very much worth it in my opinion (though I do not buy one for the cheapest/most common booster boxes)
I can imagine this is probably super expensive in Japan
In store you find it around 23,000 yen, so $160.
i also open pokemon on my channel nice to meet u i love opening 151 i always pull bangers i love japan pokemon cards more then english i just cant get japan product cheap

And thanks for that :-) To get back on your first comment, must be tough to find Japanese products for cheap abroad. I have the other problem, finding English products for cheap here is a headache xD
