Why no one is informed about armed banks? There is no video on the subject, yet by scaling or eliminating this problem the world would be nearly without problems
This was so useful and thorough, thank you! I've linked it in the description of my new video, really hope it helps people make the decision to switch if it's right for them :)
Thanks Leena, looks like your challenge has been full on. Well done for taking that on! Let me know what you think once you get the card and app but well done on getting the application done.
Thanks very much Andy for this. I've been thinking of switching for ages now, did some research and came across Triodos. I'm making some changes around who I support/who I don't (values I suppose 😊) so I'm happy to pay £3 per month. Only ever had one account...so I'm now going to watch another video of yours! Thank you for the thorough, balanced research 👍😊
I'd love you to do a review of the coop bank, I know they are now hedge fund owned but the cash structure and values remain much the same. They need to sort out their call centre online banking and app which have not changed since 2015!
I'm with Triodos bank Netherlands and except for local bank offices it's quite good. However, they both lowered interest on saving accounts to 0% and at the same time more then doubled the monthly fee to keep the service. I don't like these costs so I'm moving over to a different bank which also has good ethical standards.
Yes, it's a hard choice to make when there's free money available elsewhere - though there's nothing to say you can't use free cash from one of those other banks to fund the £3 Triodos fee!
egoist statement. When you do right decisions, you do it for justice and order. An economic return involves war and suffering that you are currently supporting
@@MaestroStefanoPetrini lol, at the end of the day most people want returns that will help them. If I help make the world better, so be it but I want higher returns.
@@navjotsingh2251If you find out your bank invests in war and still continue to use that bank you are knowingly participating in those activities... call your bank, tell the employees, tell them you disagree with it, but don't just stand there and do nothing.
I was with Starling but then joined Triodos but I don’t see the point in paying for a bank account. I don’t see any benefits from it. I moved to First Direct. My main reason why I moved to FD is its 24/7 banking and always get a real person on the end of the phone.
You pay £3 to support the cost of the account. Elsewhere, those costs are usually covered by things like poorer customers paying for things like overdrafts. So Triodos argue this is a fairer way to bank.

Would you be willing to pay £3 a month for an ethical current account?

Great video, thank you! I would love to see a comparison of the more ethical savings accounts as well

Yes, it's not amazing. I think if ethics are your main driver for an account but you don't want to pay the £3 with Triodos, then go for Nationwide.

Seems like a nice idea - but the tech isn't quite there yet 🤔 - thank you for such an informative video
great point you addressed in the video but we would like to see more current account deals and offers

Nice one 👍 Andy
Thanks 👍
Do they offer any free overdraft allocation at all?
Can their cards be added to google pay?
When say money invested in weapons it sent shivers down my spine because of Ukrain
We are with co op bank but dont get alot of cashback etc. So thinking of changing
Yes, Co-op has a great history of supporting ethical causes but the banking arm seems to have gone downhill over recent years

Wish they offered more. Being just ethical is not enough for me
Yeah. It's certainly a hard move for people to go from reward accounts to a paid account
I suppose it's the challenging question of what matters more, your own life, or sacrificing a bit for the sake of your neighbours?
So, you deleted my message about triodos ??? You are not serious ! Payed by Triodos ???
No message deleted, unless it was marked as spam by YT
ETHICAL bank ??? How much money did you received from this bank to make this video ???
How come I don't get your email from you
It could be you need to confirm you're happy to get it. Did you get that email? Worth checking your spam filter just in case

Even though FD, being part of a bank which was involved in money laundering in Mexico? Nice.
