If Saddam had invaded and defeated Saudi Arabia before the Americans attacked, could the Gulf War's result have been different?

this is satan history channel not hikmah or wise history. Saddam's body رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ did not decay. He was not aggressor in any war. Secret wahhabis work with iran. Wahhabis or salafis are iranian tribes they are exterminating arab race by friendship using salafi shia sect and weakening iraq for great aryana. Prophet ﷺ blamed problems of iraq on Iran or ajm. Iran was called ajami for most of history. Iran invaded afghanistan during soviet occupation those are iranians then american invasion. both ghani and karzai were shia iranians not afghan israelites. arabs were evil as fck. because iran is using salafi sect and infiltration to set up arabs to kill themselves for paganization because look at iran today expanded into iraq then into shaam, then all isis and terrorism is also because of them. America invaded iraq for iran. Can u believe that? They imposed sanctions for iran not fo rAmerica's benefit. America has so much oil , it does not need to depend on Arabs . It does for really low prices, but it could wean off not be so dependent.
2:120-“And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their way. Say, "Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance." If you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would have against Allah no protector or helper.”
5:51-"O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allāh guides not the wrongdoing people."
you see they did divide and extermination the christian and jews on behalf of aryana. becauase kuwait or some of land iraq claimed to was part of greater iraq that arabs opposed saddam taking back. to make it easier to neutralize weaken and eventually clear out area of iraq for aryana! I think today lot of arabs have woken up but its too late.
Arabs were so wrong in not defending Saddam , because arabs allied with christians as Allah said they are wrogn doers, allying with wrong doers makes you wrong doer like they are, planting seeds to your own destruction which they did, look at hind sight look at arab situation today and iran is in shaam they had secretly invaded america colonizing it with asians, and desis and turks. If arabs had stood with saddam رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهُ not with Christians and jews who are wrong doers created this problem, the arabs would not be in their position today about to all be killed or invadeda nd place blown up for sufyani who is exterminator to 'finish job' .
I also believe if Mohamad Bin Salman was leader of saudi arabia back then, they would of helped Saddam and would of forgiven debt. Because he is against ant christ, his own people because from iranian tribes not fully blooded arab like prophet ﷺ predicted, pagans support aryana. Little too late, coming into power through coup which is to save country or arabs from bad traitor arabs and muslims .
Muhammad ﷺ -“Verily, preceding the False Messiah(Iranians, Desis, Asians, Turks) will be years of deception, in which the truthful are not believed, the liars are believed, the trustworthy are discredited, the treacherous are trusted, and the disgraceful speak.”(AHMAD)
when iran passes arab threshold or into arab territory this is beginning of end of world. Israelis and Americans were people who used their connections and power to take out people in way of great aryana from ruling world! or NWO which is christianity
Abu Nadra-“We were in the company of Jabir b. 'Abdullah that he said it may happen that the people of Iraq may not send their qafiz(Iraqi Oil) and dirhams (financial Sanctions). We said: Who would be responsible for it? He said: The non-Arabs(Ajm or Persians) would prevent them. He again said: There is the possibility that the people of Shaam(i.e Palestine, Syria, Lebanon etc.) may not send their dinars and mudds. We said: Who would be responsible for it? He said this prevention would be made by the Romans(i.e The West).”(MUSLIM)

Abi Ja’far said: “If the Abbas(Iranians, turks) reaches Khorasan(soviet invasion, crusaders, they are all shia, iranians, Turks who afghans were exterminated most of population fighting), (a star known as) Horn Zu-Shifa rises in the East. The first time it appeared was at the perishing of the people of (Prophet) Noah when Allah drowned them. And it rose at the time of Abraham ﷺ , when they cast him into fire, and when Allah caused Pharaoh (during Moses’s ﷺ time) and those with him to perish, and when (Prophet) John (the Baptist) son of Zakariah was killed. If you see this, seek refuge in Allah against the evilness of Fitan (strife and tribulations). It will rise after the eclipse of the sun and the moon. Then, soon the Abqa (a man seeking to rule) in Egypt will appear.”(HAMMAD)

One of the biggest mistake saddam made was he fought too many wars in a short space of time he should have avoided at least one of them to rest his army people and give a chance for new generation to rise he instead had a tired old army in the end too exhausted to fight another war

    • @jasmins203

Rubbish. Iraqi army never stood a chance against USA and Britain even if it was rested and prepared for another war. It was just plain stupid and uneducated to attack a country who these two were ready to protect.

But to eb fair as many disliked Irans new religious regime US, Soviets, UK, France, Saudi... many helped Saddam as long as his wrath was vs Iran and Iraq's opposition (Kurds, shia muslims etc). The man was ruthless and very willing to sacrifice human life. Missed by few.

      John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
      Mark 1.15
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
      2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
      Hebrews 11:6
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Thanks for the video Hikma! Granted, while I doubt anyone believes that Saddam is some sort of saint even in the most revisionist circles, I feel that this coverage of the Gulf War is missing a lot of the context as to why the US invaded Iraq as well as how many wheels the US greased to enable such an overwhelming vote with those UN resolutions. The US greenlit a $250 million loan to Iran via the World Bank to get their vote. The Soviets were also bribed with a billion in aid from Saudi Arabia. Yemen voted no and the US terminated all aid to the country to the tune of $70 million. There was also the Nayirah testimony, which was more or less a complete fabrication by Kuwait and the US to drum up support for the invasion. The first Gulf War is really nowhere near as clean cut and noble as I was led to believe.
Somebody already mentioned Blowback in the comments. I would like to also recommend _The Fire This Time_ for an alternate perspective on the US' actions in Iraq and the ensuing economic sanctions regime. Some of it devolves into almost saccharine, "Sean Penn in Team America"-esque satire with it's pre-war depiction of Iraq. It's also effectively a proto-podcast/audio documentary released in 2002, so unlike modern day podcasts which can go on for hours and seem really dry, you instead have George Bush and General Schwartzkoff audio clips set to Aphex Twin. It also revealed a lot of the above claims to me and more or less reshaped my perspective on the war. While I can't verify all the claims mentioned in the album, many of them seem to be corroborated by sources from the NYT and the New Statesmen as well as many other contemporary sources.
It's also an *incredibly* terrifying listen. Listening to Nails in the Wall will be guaranteed to make you angry.

In truth, Sadam Hussein lost the moment he invaded Kuwait. Not just because he set his country on a warpath against the most powerful military force to ever exist and a mighty collation. Not because he did so right after a costly devasting eight year old with Iran. But because that by doing so, he single handily killed his own dream and strategy.
Sadam has always wished to unite the Arab world under his guidance and influence, to be a figure that all Arabs will look upon as their hero. This was the Baa'th Party's agenda, after all. By fighting a war with Iran and his aggression against Israel and the west, he built himself a reputation as the leader who fights against the enemies of the Arab world. That is why he was so popular outside of Iraq across the Middle East, and why many Arab regimes supported him and his war effort against Iran.
But when he invaded and annexed Kuwait under the pretense that it was the historic land of Iraq, he Attacked a fellow Arab nation with a massive force and put it under a brutal military occupation. As a result, he majority of the Arab world came to realize that in the end he is a bloodthirsty warmonger and a dictator who might as well attack all of the other Arab nations if he sets his mind to it. As a result, they chose to side with the United States and drive him out of Kuwait. A decision he viewed as a betrayal to him, since he was sure they would join him to fight the Western powers because of the long term animosity towards them by the Arabs.
This led to Iraq being boycotted and sanctioned for many years, and to all of Sadam's support in the Arab world vanished after the Gulf War. Sadam realized that the dream of a united pan Arab collation was forgone, and that he is now viewed as a threat and enemy by all of his former allies. This led him to embrace a more Islamic-religious interior policy in Iraq to rebuild his image and strength his position. But he was never quite over the fact that his strategic vision of an Arabic collation has failed after his invasion of Kuwait.

The US sold Saddam weapons to fight Iran. This made Iraq poor and Iraq had only one export - oil.
But, Kuwait was selling oil for cheaper. Saddam kindly asked Kuwait to raise their prices to be the same as Iraqi oil so that buyers would buy his oil as well. Kuwait refused. Thus, Saddam invaded.
And, then yesterday's friend, the US , became Saddam's enemy. This si the US policy. Trust lol

Glaspie telling Saddam the US has no opinion on Arab-Arab conflicts does seem pretty contradictory to their response to it.
Also, Quwait slant drilling into predominantly Iraqi oil fields at the same time refusing to meet OPEC production cuts, economic warfare is a pretty accurate depiction.
The Iraq - US relationship was pretty strong during the Iran-Iraq war just prior, which lead both countries into the massive debts. The US was fully arming the Iraqi's enabling them to kill 3 Iranians for every dead Iraqi, not to mention the chemical weapons that US provided Iraq - the same weapons the US later invaded Iraq for in 2003 (WMD's).
I'd say the US wanted this war - to keep Iraq down and maintain their dominance in the area.
Boy did they accomplish that, about 100,000 dead Iraqi's in Desert Storm. Some other highlights were the use of depleted uranium rounds the US forces used and radiated the whole area with the 700,000+ rounds. Cancer rates went through the roof in later years while the US simultaneously sanctioned the country from receiving western medicine and cancer treatments. You mentioned their bombing into the Stone Age.. all the civilian infrastructure gone..
Saddam was bad for sure, but not the only 'bad actor'.

Was it just the USA that supported Saddam on the down low, I'm Canadian, so I'd like to know how complicit we were in Saddam's dictatorship before he invaded Kuwait. Saddam Hussein was framed by the USA. following a plan put in place a decade before 1991.
this plan stipulated that Iraq (meaning Saddam and his regime) would be defeated within a decade.
there was also a second part to this plan: the defeat of Iran (meaning Khomeini and his regime) a decade after that of Iraq, therefore from the beginning of 2000 to 2010 and we are in 2023.
the plan seems to have run out of steam.
we learn a lot when we read the global press
and not just the US or British press.
I read this in an African (or Afro-Asian?) political magazine from the early 80's in the middle of the Iranian-Iraqi war, a war which is said to have served no purpose, just deaths and propaganda which makes the Middle East an arc of crises at the heart
    of a regional group
ranging from the Maghreb to Pakistan, mainly populated by Muslims.
